I had to break this into another comment due to per comment character limits.

The following previously belonged to the above comment, but was moved here due to the above mentioned limts.

> Something you can do now: Build a filament drybox. Seriously, some filaments such as certain Nylons can go bad in just a few hours, depending on ambient humidity levels. All filaments are susceptible to moisture absorption, and ideally should be kept in something like a Spannerhands holder, even while printing, but at worst you should store them in a big plastic tub with silica gel beads to keep them dry.

> If I had to give one last tip, don't stock up on too much filament yet! Seriously! I thought I would be printing mostly in PLA but now that I've had a few weeks to work with it, I've learned I prefer PETG more, and now I have so much extra PLA! I'm sure I'll find something to do with it, but for my final tip I would add "And get a good variety!". Services like MakerBox (referral) let you try a bunch of different filaments on the cheap. It's not a ton of each filament (about 50g), but I love the variety of materials and colors.

Original second level comment begins:

Final Tips: Bonus Round!

  1. Extruder Indicators are pretty cool (and USEFUL). You can get the magnets super cheap (or amazon).
  2. Learn how to do An Atomic Pull (AKA Cold Pull), and learn it well. Do this every time you switch filaments (See "Doing it the lazy way" at the bottom of the page). You'll help remove built up deposits each time, which will help ensure a long, jam free life for you nozzle. This also skips the bleeding necessary when switching filaments (on your next "Load" you'll get a few mm of old filament and then pretty much pure new filament after that, instead of the 100mm or so of transition). You can skip doing a proper Cold Pull if you're using a brand new printer anyway. Just do a lazy pull each time you switch filaments, and then a proper Cold Pull maybe every 100 print hours, or after using extremely difficult (wet or super exotic) filaments to help remove any residue that may cause future jams or other issues. This does require undoing and redoing the idler tension again, but once you've done it a few times you can do the whole pull and filament swap in under a minute (minus hotend heatup/cooldown time). White Nylon is great for proper Cold Pulls, partially because you can crank the temp up very high (which ensures any residual filament in the hot end should also melt), White PLA would be okay for example, but may not properly pull PETG or ABS from the nozzle. White is great thanks to the color, of course, which allows you to see any residue easier; However, any color may be used. If you only ever use PLA, then PLA would be just fine for a Cold Pull. Seriously though, start by doing Cold Pulls from Day 1 and you'll easily cut out 50% of your future issues.
  3. The small metric fasteners used in the printer are cheap. They are used in a lot of designs found online, so you should stock up (alternate source). The primary fasteners used are M3 Socket Head Cap 0.5 pitch, mostly full thread. You can also get the nuts very cheap. Square, Nyloc, and Hex. I can get the exact lengths used in the Mk3 if anyone needs them, though I'm not sure the exact grade used, it only really effects corrosion resistance.
  4. You can also Calibrate the Extruder steps/mm and extrusion multiplier. Many people will tell you only the later is necessary but I prefer to do both anyway. Theoretically it does make a difference, but practically you can just compensate for steps/mm with the extrusion multiplier, and for all intents and purposes the result is the same, so "many people" are totally right.
  5. You can also Calibrate the PID. You probably won't have to do this for PLA out of the box, but may find you have some temperature swings with PETG or ABS temperatures. The Official Help Article also discusses this method and how to calibrate using the LCD if you prefer. I like to keep my Mk3 settings vanilla (I've never used an M500 directly, and avoid them when I can), so I like to get my PID values manually and set them in my start GCode instead, which also allows me to setup my slicer so each switching filaments automatically switches PID profiles. The bed can be calibrated as well, but again you probably won't need to do this unless you're experiencing temperature swings more than -/+ 5°. One or two degree dips/spikes is perfectly normal (though theoretically can be tuned out, requires proper enclosure for stable ambient temps, etc).

There are tons of other accessories you can get ahead of time. None of these are necessary, but are small things you might end up using (or wanting to try :P), and should help get you started getting a wishlist together. Besides the ones mentioned in this comment (and the one that precedes it) already:

  • Wire Snips beat the included pliers hands down. For $4 how are you not going to pick these up right now? The cutting edge on a pair of pliers sucks and it doesn't help that it's ****ing halfway down the length of the tool. I tried to get away with just using the included tools and simply gave up trying to use the included pliers to cut zip ties. If you have Prime, get a pair of these now. Get a pair even if you don't - they're worth the shipping cost too. Thank me later.
  • 608 bearings (for prints such as TUSH),
  • Loctite 222 (helps prevent screws from vibrating free, not necessary thanks to Nylocs used in Mk3),
  • A humidity sensor (for filament dry box and checking ambient),
  • An accurate scale (for calculating remaining filament),
  • A small fan (enhanced print cooling when needed (not very necessary except for ultra extreme bridges), enhanced circulation in filament dry box),
  • Small bags (for silica beads),
  • PTFE tube and matching Bowden Couplers (for something like Spannerhands),
  • Lubit-8 (for the LMU88 bearings),
  • SuperLube (Silicone Grease w/ PTFE for Bondtech Extruder gear maintenance),
  • Canola Oil (for lubricating/cleaning filament and seasoning the nozzle/hotend (not necessary with modern hotends)),
  • Small Brass Brush (also for Bondtech Extruder gear maintenance),
  • Nozzle Reams (for the extremely rare jam, because you're doing your Atomic Pulls, right?),
  • Extra Nozzles (no need for the kit, just an example. Hardened nozzles (black) are a good idea for composites, last longer than Brass, regardless of filament used. Prusa Mk3 comes with 0.4mm nozzle preinstalled, but you can easily swap the nozzle),
  • E3D Hotend Sock (helps lock in heat for (theoretically?) lower current usage and more stable temperatures, also helps keep plastic off the heat block in case of print failure),
  • Magigoo (or other adhesion aids) (for certain exotic filaments, otherwise not necessary with Mk3),
  • Tempered Glass or Borosilicate printbeds (for certain exotic filaments),
  • And of course, Isopropyl Alcohol (70% or better, preferably 91% or better) and Acetone, just to name a few...

Edit: Upon rereading my comment I realized I have a problem.. I own every product I just listed..

    ^^Except ^^for ^^the ^^nozzles ^^kit ^^so ^^it's ^^not ^^that ^^big ^^of ^^a ^^problem, ^^right?... ^^Right?!
u/ShaktiAmarantha · 21 pointsr/sexover30

On the specific issue of being too wet:

Get a fan and put it on a table or chest at the foot of the bed so it is aimed right between your legs at your crotch when you're having sex. You can get a good multispeed 12" table fan with a remote control for about $30. (Like this one.)

Keep the remote on your bedside table and click it on just before sex. I think you'll be surprised. It makes a BIG difference!

You'll quickly figure out which speed setting reduces the wetness the right amount, but it will probably be low or medium. "High" on many fans will turn a river into a desert! :)

As for his juices, keep some kleenex where you can reach them after he cums, but while he's still inside you. You can both grab a couple just before he slides out so you can stanch the flood.

On the broader question of how to revive your sex life, I strongly urge you to try doing sensate focus therapy together. It's the most successful form of sex therapy for a number of problems, including long-term couples who are trying to reconnect physically and emotionally after falling into the sexual doldrums.

Doing SFT takes a few months, but it can establish a strong foundation for an improved sex life. Once you've finished, there's a lot of things you can do to build on it. This is a collection of articles that can help:

  • A Beginner's Guide to Good, Great, and Amazing Sex

I especially recommend the articles on erotic massage, "OMG Yes!!!", "The Mystery of Arousal and Vaginal Wetness", and everything in the section on "Taking sex to the next level."

    I hope this helps!

That's a more expensive one, but there is one that has a button thing to operate it manually. Honestly, really nifty little gadgets! I also found it helped so much if I kept bottles of water in the fridge for really hot days.

As for the waxing thing, I cannot express enough how big I got with both my pregnancies. Even midwives thought I was carrying twins until they read my notes! And shaving was a lot easier than I thought it would be. It took way longer and was easier in the shower (bonus cos it helps with your muscles to squat and bend around in the shower I thought hahaha), but with perseverance I managed. I know not everyone can though! Would your SO be willing to help you shave? Mine wasn't because he was too worried he'd cut me (🙄) but some of my friends got their partners to help them with shaving.

Oh, I also froze grapes and melon balls to help keep hydrated and cool when it got hot! Sorry I know that's not what your post is about, but I get excited hahahaha

The best baby carrier. I tried so many. I love the Bjorn Miracle. It comes with so much back support. If I’m really having a bad day, I’ll wear an additional back brace under my clothes. My kids always NEED TO BE HELD! NOW! This carrier made that a bit easier!

Also, diaper backpacks are a lot easier for me then crossbody bags.

A small footstool to get baby out of crib when they get bigger. Leaning over the crib was hard for me.

A stadium chair like the one below. I can sit on the floor with my kids with the back support this gives. Love it!

Quite warm here, but I've found a few things help.

  1. AC in the room, of course.

  2. One of those necklace fans that blow air up at you, they help a nice bit. Something like https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TQPO4P2/ref=sxr_pa_click_within_right_1?pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=2329824862&pf_rd_i=neck+fans&pf_rd_r=P4ZYG2PKQEHXFV2PJFTD&pf_rd_s=desktop-rhs-carousels&psc=1

  3. A cooling towel. I have one from a local Walmart that works nice to wrap around the neck and shoulders. Something like http://www.thewarmingstore.com/chill-its-cooling-towel.html?productid=chill-its-cooling-towel&channelid=FROOG&utm_source=CSE&utm_medium=GoogleShopping&utm_campaign=SolidCactus

  4. Drink ice water, it helps.
u/sleepycarl10 · 1 pointr/bonnaroo

I have 3 battery powered fans. Out of all 3 I think this one is the best one. Its smaller but that makes it portable and it has a lot of power (more than the next two I have) and has rechargeable batteries which are a big plus!

This one is nice to have hanging from the ceiling in your tent and also has a nice light for at night but its not that powerful at all and takes 2 D batteries.

Lastly this is the one you can get from walmart or amazon. It takes the most batteries (6 D batteries) but has pretty good power if its close to you. It can be awkward to position in your tent for it to actually cool you off depending on your sleeping situation...

u/sixpicas · 2 pointsr/WaltDisneyWorld

Another Canadian neighbour here, and I'll be there for 2 weeks in August too...

u/ClosetCaseGrowSpace · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

Sounds normal to me. That grassy smell is the chlorophyll gassing off. It's a sharp, powerful smell that masks the subtle terpene odors of your bud. Some strains punch through that chlorophyll odor sooner than others. A strong, spicy strain like Jack Herrer might have good flavor at 6 weeks of cure. A mild strain like Strawberry Bananas might need 3 months of cure before you can really smell and taste the flavors. In my experience, it takes 6 months of cure to completely eliminate the chlorophyll odor.

I don't see the need for burping an hour a day. That actually sounds counter-productive to me, because your humidity can drift. I shake then open my jars once per day for the first two weeks. I have a little battery powered fan that I use to quickly blow out the stale air in the jars. It takes about 5 minutes for me to shake, unlid, blow out, and re-lid sixteen jars of weed.

After two weeks of cure, I start burping every-other day. After a month I burp every 3-4 days. After two months I burp weekly. After three months I burp every few weeks.

IMO, The most important part of curing is having your bud dead-set at 60% RH when it goes in the jars. It needs to be stored in a dark place at 60F-75F. It needs to be burped when the chlorophyll gas builds up. And you need to be patient.

Good luck!

u/tonufan · 4 pointsr/PartyParrot

A mister like this one would probably work much better. Evaporation, the process of losing heat through the conversion of water to gas is super efficient for cooling down. It's many times better than simple convection (blowing air with a fan). Water transfers heat roughly 100 times better than air. When the skin is very hot, natural evaporation (sweating) dominates and becomes the only factor in dissipating heat from the body.

u/samurai_kiss · 1 pointr/Fitness

Get one of these fans off amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/OPOLAR-Handheld-Operated-Foldable-Activities/dp/B07785Q1PX/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=electric+fan+handheld&qid=1562628161&s=gateway&sr=8-4

You can hold it and keep it on your face while you are walking uphill. Then, once you are in the office it turns into a desk fan that you can literally have on your face/body blowing consistently.

These little fans are surprisingly powerful. I was in Japan last summer (hottest summer on record) and saw a lot of Japanese using them. They're onto something as I sweat like a pig during the summer months as well and have a lengthy commute. I walk with this (holding it down by my chest so it's not conspicuous, but on my chest/face) and then when I get to the office I sit down and put it on my face. It's not too noisy either. Has helped a lot.

Bonus: On most models the battery to the fan is rechargeable and doubles as a power bank for your phone.

u/Fairybuttmunch · 1 pointr/pregnant

I fainted at the doctor’s office and it was so embarrassing, the small waiting room was packed and I just got so overheated that I fainted. Now I use this thing https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F1P1187/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it’s amazing. I use it everywhere, the mist is soooo awesome, i bought the pink one and it makes me giggle, I feel like pregnant Barbie

u/[deleted] · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

Buy a desk fan. I used to have a coworker that refused to take off his jackets and would compensate with a huge Vornado. You don't have to be that extreme, but this tiny 4" desktop fan could be ideal for you. A buddy of mine has it in red and it actually looks pretty cool, and is tiny.

u/paperwaller · 2 pointsr/vandwellers

I'm not sure they have them at stores like that at all. I have never seen them. This fan is amazing and worth every penny IMO. It puts out so much air. Here is one that's a bit cheaper. Every single 18650 based fan I have owned has been totally worth it in every way. I take them with me to races/sporting events and they make a whole world of difference. This is the ultimate fan. It costs a bit more but comes with two USB battery packs you can charge other stuff with. So you get a good fan and two power packs.

u/vrgamerdude · 1 pointr/oculus

I use an O2cool necklace fan.. Blows a bit of air up through the nose gap and keeps my face and Rift cool. Pretty good solution as well if you want to get away from your desk for some room scale and still keep cool. █-)

Holmes 12-Inch Fan | Blizzard Rotating Fan with Remote Control, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I8Q307S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_2VP7Cb760THV3

it's not a true oscillating fan but it covers a good amount of area... the thing I like the most is it has a setting to simulate a random breeze. I'm gonna buy another for my bedroom

otherwise just go with a reputable brand tower fan... if it's too strong even on the lowest setting just point it at a corner/wall

u/rshriot · 2 pointsr/WaltDisneyWorld

I see your handheld fan and raise you a necklace fan (https://www.amazon.com/O2COOL-Deluxe-Necklace-Fan-Blue/dp/B00TQPO4R0). Sure, you look like a dork, but you have air constantly blowing on your face and neck hands free. :)

u/kayemgi · 2 pointsr/WaltDisneyWorld

We found these at our local Target and they're great! Lightweight, pocket-size, and foam blades so I can give one to my daughter too. And I strongly believe a misting fan is a must, otherwise you're just blowing more hot air on your face! https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01BDTV5SM

I got this one, ut for about $15 rather than $28, because the battery was a smaller capacity -- notice that this says "upgraded." However, the battery is not permanently installed, so the capacity isn't really an issue. If you can find one cheaper, buy it and carry an extra battery and/or a charger. Especially if you're carrying 18650 flashlights anyway.

One problem is that if you are going to use it somewhere other than on a motionless flat surface, you need to figure out a mounting system. I ended up putting very thin cords through the top of the grille, using silicone caulk to hold them in place, and hanging the fan. I'm not totally satisfied with this solution, and will continue to experiment. I suppose a fan with a spring clip might be suitable for inside a tent, but I didn't see one I liked.

Hope this helps.

I actually just put a big ass fan in my tote today after doing a little bit of thinking on the topic this morning. Prior to that I only had one exhaust fan which is blowing air through a home made carbon filter with a passive intake at the bottom. This is the fan I put into the tote. Its so big it only fits in upside down and I have to move my plant to the side (thankfully there's plenty of room in 110gallons worth of totes used in the enclosure). I've got it pointed at the 5g smart pot I'm growing it and I've got it on the lowest setting and it's oscillating. Closed up it just barley rustles the canopy so I don't think I have to worry about wind burn. Plus I saw that other post on here talking about air flow on top soil being big for nutrient uptake.

I have one of these on my desk at work and intend to buy one for my grow box as well. Dont buy it online though. Too expensive. Check your local walmart. Mine had them for $6.

You don't even need the alternate battery, actually. A rechargeable fan or two and a power bank and a usb port in your car. This does require the vehicle to be running/driving to charge the powerbank, but if you're already driving everyday, shouldn't be a problem.

Someone on this sub recommended this, can't remember who.

Found this one with 2200mAh: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DZYUL6A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_TceSCb1SYM7PQ

The one I think you're talking about? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CWLY6P6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_bgeSCbPPCH15A

And this one I found looking for those that you can use as a regular portable battery when not needed as a fan: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01K4DJ6L6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_SjeSCbMTXG53X

Sorry to state the obvious, but why the hell are you leaving a window facing the fire escape open/unlocked? New York is a safer city than many (and Astoria is relatively safe) but it's still a big city with crime & break ins.

Also, don't you have a 2nd window in your bedroom not attached to a fire escape? I'd assume so since you need somewhere to install the A/C. Keep that window open.

If all else fails, just get a fan. They cost basically nothing to operate, provide some pleasant white noise while you sleep, and most importantly mean you can keep your fire escape window locked so that you're SAFE.
