I have Dominion and all its expansions except for Alchemy, and all those will fit in one of the boxes if you remove the insert. I printed out some dividers, and shoved all the rest of the boxes in the basement. It's pretty packed in and the box is heavy, but it's way better than lugging around a ton of big boxes, and if you don't have any money like me, it's probably the best solution for storage. If you only have the base game, I think the plastic insert is just fine, and nothing else really needs to be done.

For any games with a stack of loose cards that don't come with a tuckbox and don't snugly fit into the box insert, I print out a tuckbox using this website. It's really convenient - just measure your stack of cards, get the pdf, and print! I also remove the little URLs they stick on there, and center the template, because otherwise my printer cuts it off, but that takes seconds. Then you just cut it out, score the lines, fold it up, and tape/glue it in one or two places (I like to use double-sided tape, because glue is messy). I bought some cheap card stock to print it out on, and it makes great little tuck boxes that fit neatly into any box. :) I have Tales of the Arabian Nights, and this was a lifesaver for that, since that game has like 4-5 distinct decks of cards and nowhere neat to put them in the box, haha. Before I made tuckboxes for them, I was having to keep each deck in a plastic bag, and that was a huge pain....

Netrunner I have sleeved, and I keep that in one of these. There's nothing wrong with the box it comes in, but I already had this lying around, and it's smaller than the Netrunner box, which is nice.

For games with lots of little tokens and stuff, I just put them all in little plastic baggies. I don't bother to label the baggies unless there's a lot of distinct but similar-looking tokens (like with Small World) - it's pretty obvious what's in them otherwise, haha. These are a good size in general. You almost never need them to be bigger. If the insert is really good, I sometimes don't bother with this. If they might be flying around in the box, though, it's a good idea.

  1. Depends on what printer you are using. I use a dymo 450 with 30334 labels from HouseLabels. If you use a LaserJet, you can use 30 up labels, but I'm not experienced with those.

  2. HouseLabels have good prices for mine. I'd just search Amazon and eBay and see what's cheapest with the best reviews.

  3. Yes, unless you are doing co-mingled. You can either label the items yourself or have Amazon do it for .20 an item.

  4. I have used these and they worked well: http://www.amazon.com/Suffocation-Warning-1-5ml-Self-sealed-Count/dp/B00GXFXNR8/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1411587308&sr=8-3&keywords=suffocation+bag

I just ordered these so I can have a better variety of sizes:

i hope the kizu LN sell well so that Vertical can see that there's a lot of interest to warrant a full series localization.

By sealed away, some BDs come with artbooks and i put them in those bags, just the artbooks, if they are bigger i use a bigger bag like so. These are what i use to seal the artbooks shown. The one i linked previously was just for manga/LNs.

In regards to figures... I know figures are made to match preorder amount. Its the retailers/sellers that put in the order, some a little more than what really is preordered to sell after release. Another thing is that people cancel their preorders at the last minute, causing the seller to have extras. You can still get releasd figures, sometimes for cheaper than original asking price. This is why buying figures can be hard sometimes, if the figure is popular/well made the demand will be high and so will the price. At that point, you better be prepared to shell out the big bucks or pray that the manufacturer does a rerelease. The after marker isn't so bad, some people take really good care of their figures, like not taking it out of the box, etc.,and you can buy those second hand figures.

It is a slippery slope. Don't get me wrong, i like all the figures i bought but it could've been cut in half if i really limit myself to characters/shows i REALLY like. But there's no regrets now.

Re-sealable just means that it has a strip of adhesive that you can use to close the flap. You can just buy a bag with no adhesive and use a tape to secure it like what i do to my hentai manga. 2 mil thickness is a good amount, you don't want your collection to get too bulky or else you can't more in a shelf. All you really want these bags to do is protect the books from dust and air.

u/Artful_Dodger_42 · 2 pointsr/preppers

Amazon has a selection of faraday bags for sale.

Most cost effective solution is to get the basic faraday bags that look like ziplock baggies. They're just as effective, and allow you to protect a larger number of things.

Or you can just save the faraday sleeves from electronics you purchase.

u/11twenty2 · 6 pointsr/sewing

If your stash of sewing patterns is out of control like mine was, Comic book sleeves like these are the perfect size for most pattern packages and most that you find are re-sealable. They also make boxes and dividers that will fit patterns perfectly. Best part about it is that they are way cheaper than buying ones specifically for sewing patterns. I know it isn't a sewing tip, but it is a sewing organization tip. Hopefully it helps someone.

Here is what you do:

!) Check out the history of the Central Park Theater in chicago (https://drloihjournal.blogspot.com/2017/10/the-central-park-theater-first-air.html).

2)Once you do that, go get yourself one of these bad-boys: https://asheville.craigslist.org/search/sss?query=freezer&search_distance=10&postal=28801 (I'm assuming your close to Ashville, but you get the idea).
3) Now go and then get one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005JQJHR2/ref=sxbs_sxwds-stvpv2_3?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=2708083022714283574&pd_rd_wg=J3x6A&pf_rd_r=YZ5K5XNHA9B3B4NP7QA2&pf_rd_s=desktop-sx-bottom-slot&pf_rd_t=301&pd_rd_i=B005JQJHR2&pd_rd_w=bQ6mi&pf_rd_i=industrial+fan&pd_rd_r=33359447-b610-4ea3-9d46-62556cd5da96&ie=UTF8&qid=1526360334&sr=3 (you'll need the size, trust me).

4)While your at it get https://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Bags-Draw-String-Closure/dp/B00INV51ZM/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1526360405&sr=8-4&keywords=large+ice+bags&dpID=41veVhLMN7L&preST=_SX342_QL70_&dpSrc=srch and a couple-20 of https://www.amazon.com/Arctic-Chill-Large-Silicone-Trays/dp/B00I3LDJJW/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1526360471&sr=8-8&keywords=large+ice+tray. Now, also get some Zip-ties, while you're at it.

Here is the plan:

  1. Lay all the ice trays out in your yard - it's ok that they are black, they are made of silicone - they will be fine.

2)Now, set up your fan where you want it and plug in your freezer where ever you can. Ideally out of the way of your lifting space but... I mean, we aren't going to be doing much lifting in the heat anyway, so let's consider the order of operations here - step by each.

3)Alright, take your garden hose and fill up the ice trays. Once filled set them in the freezer over night.

4)Here is the time consuming part - once you have made the ice in their containers, you are gonna wanna get them out, and into the bags. I know, it's not ideal, but since you aren't working out, hey "Forearm day!".

  2. Okay, the bags of ice are made - the fan is set up - the only thing left to do is zip tie those suckers to the back of the fan, and pump yourself up, in the heat, to do some cool-ass lifting. Crank that sucker on and be blown away by the technology of over 120 years.

The whole package, is probably about 400-backaroos, but I'm assuming that's O.K. as you were looking for a cheaper option than a full air handler, and spray-foam insulation. If not I can certainly help price that out for you (Although, I'm probably going to recommend geothermal - buy once cry once). Hopefully this helped.

Honestly, make sure that you have pleany of water and read up on the three metabolic pathways. I've been yankin' your chain. If people can find a way to work out in the UAE you can work out in North Carolina. Go to the jbosss93-perfered-hot-CrossFit-athlete google images page for motivation, remember why you have a home gym to begin with, bring a towel, and wreck house. You didn't build this thing at someone else's house. We all believe in you.

I just got these. I changed my usual order because of the "back flap lock", which I am liking! Now instead of folding over the plastic bag and taping it closed, the little fold over is very neat and I just slap a sticker on it.

However, I wish I had gone up a size in the bags. It makes a real difference when you are not wrestling to get something into the plastic bag. And I highly highly recommend that you do not SEAL the bag while storing. Like we've talked about in here, fabric will grow its own odor while sitting in airless spaces. Congrats on the new roommate! My little nuisance isn't allowed in the room with the clothes and she stalks me all day begging for carrots (I know....carrots) and she tries to kill me on every staircase but I love that spoiled little freeloader more than my family!

u/ceephour · 12 pointsr/boardgames

I absolutely hate the shitty bags all games come with. I open every game box and immediately throw them in the recycling bin. I applaud them when they at least make it easy for me by surrounding them all in one bag.

The seal on them is usually shit. The components push through too easily, they offer no component protection or protection from components. The sizes are all over the place, typically you get a handful of same size bags for a varying number of components, and usually not able to split them up in a way that will make sense.

The answer is 4 mil Plymor baggies. Best fucking things ever. They're thick, sturdy, clear, and seal well. Every game I have now has them in the 3 sizes I bought. It's nice and consistent and you don't have to worry about having enough. You have hundreds.

The 3 sizes I found that work well for 99% of games I have (if memory serves I think my TI4 tiles are in 2 Ziplock quart bags) are:

3"x4" Great for little bits, dice, cubes, wheat, tiles, currency, even a few whole ass regular sized cards cards (great for separating replaced cards (Xia, Vast) or games with very few cards). Buy a million of these.

4"x6" Great for "player packs" (all bits, tiles, dice, meeple for 1 player), large sets of tiles, or lots of cards. MiniUSA/Euro size stack up in them (Gloomhaven, TI4 = only 2 bags each for all the cards, sleeved).

5"x8" Great for large tiles and component heavy player pieces (TI4). Or for laying out cards in side by side stacks (even Euro/"MTG" size) so you can still close the fucking box (looking at you, Agricola, AFfO) and not have cards fly everywhere. Buy quite a few of these. 100 bags will last forever.

*edit* had my 5x8 description in the wrong place.

u/LavernicaDeLuca · 3 pointsr/poshmark

I recommend checking eBay and Amazon, sometimes you can find some really great deals. For example, I just bought these for $4: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C7FWZSN

That works out to 4 cents per item and this size fits pretty much all tops (aside from bulky sweaters/hoodies), most dresses, most shorts and skirts and some jeans and pants. I lucked out and got 100 12x15 zipper bags for $9 awhile back but they're sold out and most other ones are $20+ for that many bags. If you keep checking back you might get lucky and snag them cheaper though, new listings pop up all the time on Amazon and eBay.

I have some of the adhesive bags but I hate them, the adhesive strip sticks to everything (including itself) and it's a pain to open and reseal if a buyer wants another measurement or if you want to slide a thank you note inside the bag or anything else. The zipper bags are thicker plastic and can be opened and resealed as many times as you want. Plus, I feel like buyers are way more likely to reuse them rather than tossing them in the garbage.

u/bugmochi · 2 pointsr/Flipping

Does anyone have recommendations for a cheaper option for [these] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SI7HBTU/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3R5B0NCMQ6TC8) clear self sealing poly bags in size 11x14 and 9x12? They don't have to be Uline but decent enough quality. If I ordered directly from Uline I would save some money in the long run but I would have to order 1000 of each at a time. I'm hoping to buy <500 at a time, preferably 200-300.

u/OddJackdaw · 1 pointr/LegoStorage

I am surprised I had to read this far down to see this. You can get 500 heavy-duty 4x6 zip lock bags from Amazon for $20 (You can get smaller quantities also). If you want something a bit bigger, you can get 100 6x9" bags for $12.94. That should be a lifetime supply for this and plenty of other tasks (they can also be used for food storage).

Start sorting them into bags, then either just store the bags in the bins you already have, or from there you will have a better sense what will work best for you.

u/kota99 · 13 pointsr/CrossStitch

I leave the floss in skeins with the labels left on and just put them in baggies similar to these ones. Each color is in it's own baggie and the baggies I use are small enough that the skeins don't have room to move around so I don't have to worry about them tangling. Leaving the label on the skein also helps to minimize the tangling. If the label does fall off it's either a) already in the bag or b) I actively have the skein in my hand and can easily put the labels in the bag. Because the label is in the bag I don't have to worry about something being labeled wrong or loosing the important label info including dye lot.

The baggies do take more space than bobbins (although the number of bobbin boxes I would need would take up almost as much space as the totes I have the floss in) and it doesn't look as pretty but it's also a lot easier to deal with and doesn't take nearly as much time as winding the skeins onto bobbins or whatever. I also don't have to worry about the bobbins being wound too tight and kinking/creasing the floss.

I was just in your shoes a week ago...here is a link for some cheap bags. Best of luck.

u/Diffident7 · 2 pointsr/Ultralight

I pack them out in these: https://www.amazon.com/Inch-Black-Reclosable-Resealable-Zipper/dp/B00I0G76X0/

I put a few of these black bags, some tampons, and some toilet paper in a quart-sized ziplock bag and that is my bathroom kit. I'll use a single black bag for a few days worth of waste and dispose when i get a chance.

Unfortunately online was the only place i could find bags like this and I had to buy a ton. Now I'm set for years and have shared with friends.

u/MsKim · 2 pointsr/Survival

I use these tiny ziplocs to pre-package pills. Saves money over the travel sized packets and I can either do a packet of one thing (aspirin) or a packet of hubby's daily pills (about five different pills). For his prescriptions I take a photo of each pill as well as the prescription for each medication and keep these on my cell phone. I would be more careful with opiods. And if anyone (like police) are wondering what the pills are you can easily google the number code on each pill and it will tell you what it is like this.

u/Lovegem85 · 6 pointsr/poshmark

I bought these and love them: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00OOE6OSU?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_yo_pop_mb_pd_t2

Once I list, I fold the item and put in here, seal and then store in a big box in my closet.

2x3" 2mil zipper baggies in 100ct packages are sold by Uline in cartons of 1000. Various people are selling these by 100ct for about $3-4 shipping included on Amazon. Note 4mil are also available. At Uline, they are foodsafe, can't guarantee everybody's is from Uline, but if you really care, you could inquire before buying. (Note as an oxygen barrier, plastic is considered permeable especially in the long term- months and years.)

I usually dose out my beans into separate small baggies like these: http://www.amazon.com/Ziplock-Type-Clear-Reclosable-Thick/dp/B0002ZOY5A/ref=pd_sbs_hg_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=12JS913R1Z9YAACM2EXH. Just be sure to squeeze out the air.

u/Ellagon · 1 pointr/Catan

Yeah, I don't see them in stores. You'll probably have to go online, maybe something like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Ziplock-Type-Clear-Reclosable-Thick/dp/B0002ZOY5A

u/ranchochupacabrash · 2 pointsr/LSD

I would put some tabs in a bag like this in my pocket. If you're going to get searched just swallow the tabs.

u/blippyz · 1 pointr/Nootropics

I use this: https://www.bodybuilding.com/store/ts-fit/monster-pill-dispenser.html?PLASKU=TSFIT3720015

But I take all my supplements in the morning at home.

If I had to carry them around with me, I'd probably just get a small ziploc bag, around this size: https://www.amazon.com/100-CLEAR-Reclosable-Zipper-Bag/dp/B000OVHW24

Most people are probably familiar with others taking supplements and medicines during the day so I'd be surprised if anyone looked at you weird for taking a couple capsules with your lunch.

Absolutely! They have myriad applications... Here's some on Amazon
