(Part 2) Reddit mentions: The best popped popcorn

Thanks for educating us on why partially popped popcorn exists.

When you said crunchier and more intense corn flavour I immediately bought some on Amazon.

I get mine from Amazon. I think it's just butter flavored canola oil, but I don't put on a ton when I'm at home so I'm ok with it :)

"PR Disaster" is a pretty strong term.

Below you mention how much you're willing to spend on cookies from girl scouts. You describe the $5 GS cookies as having a 66% markup over what you consider to be an acceptable price ($3).

Cracker Jacks go for $0.68 per ounce on Amazon. 18 oz would then be $12.24.

A 66% markup on $12 is $20. By your own logic, this is an acceptable price — and in fact you got a deal.

I understand you feel embarrassed that you feel you paid too much. But don't take it out on the scouts.

The last non vegan food I ever ate was smartfood, so happy to have such good alternatives

I would suggest one thing a month that's not a necessity, like my one thing is chicago mix popcorn in a 7.5 oz bag so I don't have to deal with a gargantuan amount of popcorn each month.

But if you're looking for practical, any sort of variety packs of lunch snacks would be my suggestion. If you're into low-cal "chocolate", I'm a fan of Skinny Cow. Or I'm a fan of Kind bars

I was just searching for this last month, so here are my contributions:

Snacks (I like to have a variety because planes are boring)

• Fruits that pack well: grapes, clementines, apples or freeze-dried anything
  
• Dark chocolate
  
• Granola bars
  
• Hard boiled eggs (halved and seasoned)
  
• gum!
  
• hard candies like Werther's sugar free caramels
  
• sliced veggies like red peppers, cucumbers, carrots. Unfortunately hummus is a liquid so you would only be carry-on 100 mL. Sabra makes "singles" that look small enough but I'm not sure.
  
• Smartfood Delight Popcorn
  
• Harvest Snaps
  
• Roasted chickpeas or edamame (diy or store bought)
  
  
  Packable meals
  
  
• Hardy salad, like a bean or grain based one. Try thai quinoa salad, southwestern black bean salad, or roasted veggie chickpea salad. Pack in a freezer bag and bring your own fork!
  
• Sandwiches are boring but a staple for a reason. Your could try a wrap with low-cal tortillas.
  
• smashed chickpea salad + crackers or lettuce wrap. This has the advantage of not giving you food poisoning if kept at room temp, unlike egg or chicken salad.

It's coconut oil! The butter flavor actually comes from a salt called Flavacol. And here's an idea of the yellow coconut oil. It has butter flavoring too, but most of it's in the flavacol

Also, your mushroom kernels should only be used with caramel corn! Standard kernels for normal popcorn!

The secret to movie theater popcorn is Flavacol and coconut oil.
