(Part 2) Reddit mentions: The best posters & prints

I may be freaking out...

My favorite character is Mal (and yes, my username is dedicated to him). His loyalty is astounding. His crew is his family and I think it's extremely admirable. He keeps his head in times of hardship and usually pulls through with even a laugh or two. I love that he surrounds himself with people he'd like to be more like; or at least people with qualities he feels he's lost. He admires Kaylee for her innocence, Book for his faith, Simon's love for his sister and dedication to learning, etc. He knows he's had to bury this qualities in himself, so he keeps them close in other people so he doesn't forget them.

Mischief Managed!

There's an overarching theory behind how these will all help with a school experience. Which is, basically, that you need to have fun in between studying. All work and no play makes jack a dull boy, goes the saying.

• So, since we're talking about wine, I thought I should point out that one of my favorite ways of enjoying wine is with a nice bath. And what better way to make that prospect quite a bit safer, than with this piece of heaven?
  
• Next, we come to brooms. What else would a wizard or witch ride? You know what else is interesting about witches? According to Harry Potter, they basically enjoy a tickling sensation while pretending to be burned at the stake (I swear I remember this from the books). Since they're already having fun with it, I think they should have even more fun by turning the flames colors.
  
• You know who wears a lovely hat? Well, bonnet. A pretty, floral bonnet. Captain Mal Reynolds. I could surely use this to maximize my time enjoying Captain Mal's world.
  
• This one is a tough one. Because there are so many books I could want, but that's such a traditional explanation... So, since we're talking about books as a journey, I really wanted to put a choose-your-own-adventure book. But it hasn't come out yet, so I'll have to content myself with this journey provoker.
  
• Moving on to trunks. Trunks are storage, right? And I've got a bunch of jewelry that's just begging for a home. This looks like the perfect place for it.
  
• Finally, we come to capes. Superheros, wizards, Sherlock Holmes. All these people have a history of wearing capes. And wizards are a strange people, and we sometimes need to work to understand strange people. This book might help guide the way.

I get up knowing that each day is a blessing. I live for my husband. He is my best friend! I know if I do well at my job - I can provide for my husband and myself, our future and having fun. It's amazing what just a good attitude will do for you.

There is no correct answer. Spend some time overseas where stuff like Budweiser is an expensive beer since it's imported and you'll hear a lot of people saying how great Bud is. The effect of price and how people interpret quality is truly amazing.

With that said, try a little of everything. When you find one you like then try to find more like it. I believe Corona is made with Corn which means you might like something like Bud Light. IPA's have been the rage for the last few years, so if it turns out you like IPA's there are a ton to have fun with.

You mean this one? I for myself actually think that's the best Radiohead poster out there. Sadly the band doesn't have that many great posters (or merch in general) to begin with, but this In Rainbows one is also pretty cool imo. You like Atoms For Peace too? They have this poster in their store. Outside of that, I don't really know where to get posters that are worth something.

Framed posters are great ways to class up rooms cheaply! Here are my suggestions by room:

Riding a horse! I'm not the biggest fan of heights but I do like animals. So we all go to the horse ranch but one thing was convincing me to go the other was convincing me to get on while standing next to the horse. In the end, yes it was scary but in the end it was awesome you are so in sync with the animal and I just wanted to gallop away with the horse.

Not enough info to be sure. What color are your walls? What kind of colors do you like?

I'm assuming white walls. How about

Chicago: Navy & Green
Philly: Brown & Light Blue
NYC: Black & White

Alternatively, you could go with Navy/Ochre/Red. That might be a bit more interesting. I'm not sure what existing colors you have in your place, but for a room you should pick 3 or 4 colors and generally stick to them.

You could play around with them being different sizes and finding a fun arrangement. The simplest, though, would be the three of them arranged, evenly spaced, in a horizontal row across a wall. Make the center line 57" off the floor (if they are 24" tall, 24/2=12, so 57+12=69 giggidy. The top of the poster should be 69" from the floor).

Anything you put up on your wall should be framed. You can find nice but inexpensive 18 x 24 frames anywhere, in wood or plastic.

I did the same thing as you, and got the same results. Seems having the Amazon logo on the listing doesn't mean it's shipped by Amazon if both you and OP are correct. I'm not saying that /u/Xerora is wrong, or that every single person who says they got something wrong from Amazon really did order directly from Amazon, but these are my findings.

Steps to reproduce for anyone:

6. Under "Review items and shipping" it lists who sells the item. This is listed as "Amazon.com Services, Inc." https://i.imgur.com/BZItyPL.png
   
   If this was the cheapest option available, that would be the $13.28 used product, not the $24.34 cheapest New. This cheapest New also happens to be sold by Amazon.
   
   This test heavily implies, if not proves, that "Amazon.com Services, Inc." is Amazon. If you do the same and have a different "Sold By" in your "Review items and shipping" section, I'd like to see it.
   
   Edit: Contacted Amazon support and straight up asked them. This is what they have to say. "Amazon.com Services, Inc." is Amazon themselves.

You could start here. It's not quite that big, but you could try searching through Amazon.

Looks like the 24x36 is the biggest. Unless you get a custom job

I have a No 1 Mk V in the back of the safe. Yours does indeed seem like a bubba or some sort of repair.

If you're looking for parts as of 2010 http://www.efdrifles.com/ had some parts, notably furniture. The owner was quite kind in answering my inquiries. At the time I didn't have the budget to restore the rifle. Now I don't have the inclination.

http://bdlltd.com/ is a regular exhibitor at Knob Creek. He had some parts, again the last real contact was 6-7 years ago.

The book by Ian Skennerton, https://www.amazon.com/Book-Lee-Enfield-Ian-Skennerton-Signed/dp/B006559906, seems to be the most oft cited reference on the rifle.

I've had a heck of a time figuring out value. Selling the rifle outright was tricky. Casual collectors priced it like a Mk III or misidentified it as a No 5. Knowledgable collectors, all very kind to talk shop and share info, noted the missing parts and the difficulty in valuing the somewhat uncommon Mk V.

I've got pics around here somewhere. I'll scrounge those up and see if they help both of us figure out what parts each of us might lack.

I'd be eager to hear any commentary or see any data on value. I know that might be a little gauche to ask about but it's hard to figure out what fair prices on these rifles would be. That valuation directly determines if a restoration is worthwhile.

In the grand spirit of travel posters, there is an entire collection of these posters Such as Hogsmeade Just don't call it Frisco or expect to dine al fresco. I have several and I love that they are geeky and artistic. My mundane friends think they are real places!

I could! I have always wanted and always been really fond of this one and it's only like $4 with free shipping right now.

Ok then, military surplus rifles. That's a solid place to start. Here's a rundown:

I actually don't have a K31 book, but this one is written by Joe Poyer who is an author I trust. K31s are pretty straightforward for the most part, it's the earlier rifles that are a tad complicated to study.

There's so many damn Mausers that it's hard to recommend a book that covers enough of them. This one should be enough to get you started. This one just came back in print and is for the Swedish Mauser.

For Mosins, This one should provide enough knowledge, but there's actually a surprising amount of material online. Not many printed books on Mosins in English, sadly.

For Enfields, Ian Skennerton's book is the go-to.

And that should be enough to get you started. For any other guns, just type the gun name followed by "book" into Google and you should find what you need. And as always, the internet has plenty of it's own resources too.
