I haven't heard very good things about the Turnigy servos holding up to higher voltages. The best lower end servos are the "red case" ones you can find on ebay, amazon, or banggood under a half dozen different brand names. They generally hold up well to 11.1V. Something like this one. They red case servos are basically knock-off Savox brand servos - virtually the same components inside for about 40% of the cost.

I’m also trying to conserve space so having one power supply would be pretty nice

I think you can run one off the 5v and ground if you power the board through usb. I was wondering how you could power two of them

This is easy. The key here is you don't need to control it (IE you don't need remote control access), you just need to have a timer that flushes it more or less once a day.

I'd suggest get an Arduino kit and a High Torque Hobby Servo.

Write the Arduino sketch like follows (pseudocode):

Activate ServoControl on pin number whatever
Set Servo to position 255 (full rotation one way)
Wait 1 seconds
Set servo to position 0 (full rotation the other way)
Wait 1 second (so the servo has time to move)
Disable ServoControl
Wait 86400 seconds (one day)
Goto beginning

Sounds like you need an actuator ;)

I don't wrap mine, just secure them to the arm. If you fly in the rain or something crazy then sure, wrap em up. Otherwise why? It's just holding in heat and looking bad in my opinion.

edit: I use this clear style of servo tape, it's incredibly strong. Never had anything come loose with this stuff.

Get a servo tester to make sure the servo will do what you want. If it does, then post your code and we can make it work from Arduino.

It helps if your ESC has BEC (battery eliminator circuit) which means your ESC has 5v out to power the tester... otherwise you will need a separate power supply or additional circuitry to provide the 5v power to the tester.

I got generic 9g servos off Amazon, was something like 10 servos for about 16$.
Just depends on how cheap you want to go 🤷🏼‍♂️

Here ya go, direct replacement for the 2060 and 2065, and it's metal geared. 2 pack for $10 bucks. I can't believe how cheap these servos are, so be honest. Same servo horn spline count too.

They have a SAVSW0241MG which is a little slower but more torque.
