I use these, they haven't failed me yet. Plus they're super comfortable. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I0VIMK0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have a set of Trekz. They're too quiet to hear over the wind without being painful imo, and I can't get them on my ear between my helmet and glasses comfortably due to the rigid bar connecting the two sides.

I've been using these Plantronics BackBeats for quite awhile with pretty good success. I was hoping the Trekz would let me hear more around me though.

With the Plantronics I can still hear cars / call outs without a problem.

I think you're probably aiming too low on price...if you can spend a few more dollars, try the Plantronics Backbeat Fit. I've had them for 2 years and they work perfectly for me.

I've tried a million types and these Plantronics ones are the best hands down.

I have the same exact issue as you. The only pair of headphones that's ever worked for me are these. I couldn't recommend them more!

There are some used Backbeats here for around $40. They really work well for me and I’ve seen them recommended by others frequently, but used does always increase the risk!

I sweat like crazy when I workout, so in ear buds and over the ear phones are out of the picture for me. I have to have something that wraps around my ear. I tried beats, but they aren't sweat resistant (enough for me).

In comes these guys. I use them 6 days a week, every week, for months now, and they have held up great.

I have these headphones: BackBeat Fit

I can't say enough good about them. The sound quality and battery life is quite good. You can carry on a normal conversation while wearing them, and most people I call with them can't tell I'm using them. The sound quality doesn't rival large headphones, but they're the best earbud style headphones I've ever tried. If you're considering a bluetooth option, they're worth a try.
FYI: Costco has them for less than Amazon.

I'm on my second pair of Plantronics Backbeat Fit. First pair made it 2 years, my current pair on going on 2 years old.

My personal preference is Over The Ear. They are not noise-cancelling. Wife has a pair of Jaybirds, and I can't get those to stay in my ears

Not if ur a runner, I've been thru tons of Bluetooth headsets and the best ive found are a pair of plantronics. Hasn't shorted from sweat yet.

I love my Plantronics BackBeat Fits: https://www.amazon.com/Plantronics-BackBeat-Fit-Bluetooth-Headphones/dp/B01I0VIMK0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1473504060&sr=8-1&keywords=backbeat+fits

These are lightweight, fit very securely and comfortably, but the best thing about them is that they allow some ambient noise in so I can still be aware of surroundings, i.e. hear cars or other runners.
