You need to get him a n95 PAPR hood.

This is like the sort of thing that you get for sandblasting, hooked up to a n95 filter pack - you will have seen these on the news for the ebloa stuff, except their hoods are probably heavier than needed.

This is one from 3m available on amazon.

If you need to modify a hood - I am sure you will be able to, but the pumps are generally pretty good.

Good luck with all that.

A full-face mask would be more comfortable for long-term wear than one that just covers your nose and mouth, because it doesn't press on your face, just on the edge of your face.

I wear a full-face mask with HEPA filters. It's designed for comfort. I even sleep in it.

You can bump up to the next step with the powered fan puling air through a filter pack on a belt and pushing up to a full head hood.

Or they make spectical kits for the full face that hold prescription lenses. You'd have to get lenses made for it, not use existing ones.

As a glasses wearing person, I'm just going with a half mask and itchy eyes.
