To decorate cards/ envelopes she has purchased, your best bet is WASHI TAPE. Washi tape is a paper tape that is removable but also sticks really well. It's relatively affordable and comes in tons of different designs. A large number of people active on this sub have an unhealthy beautiful obsession with washi tape. Themed sticker sets like this or this are also great to add decor to cards. You can always find something in her style.

If you want to start her off on making her own cards, you can still start with washi and stickers. You can also add in some blank cards that she can use as a base (Not this set though, it's too pricey for what you get) or maybe some patterned paper or heavy cardstock.

Disclaimer: There's really no theme to our nursery, despite the abundance of giraffes and Poohs. I already owned all of these Winnie the Pooh stuffed bears...he's a lifelong love of mine, and I just think giraffes are neat.

TOP FIVE

1. Crib: Graco Benton 5-in-1 in Pebble Gray. I got a really, really good deal on this through amazon, because the box it came in was damaged and they couldn't guarantee that the crib itself wouldn't have some superficial damage. I wasn't bothered by the prospect, and luckily it turned out I didn't have to be! Crib was in perfect shape and I got it for 50% its normal price.
   
2. Mobile: unfortunately, I think this particular style of mobile is sold out, but I got it from Sorrel & Fern on Amazon. Here is a similar style, though it's woodland themed.
   
3. Blinds: we had some old pull cord blinds before, which were some of the first things to go. I got these magnetic blinds here. I will say they're a liiittle too big for the size window we have but nothing a little adjusting can't fix. They were super easy to install, too.
   
4. Marquee 'J': I love this so much. I don't even know why.
   
5. We got a lot of hand me down furniture from friends and family - our changing table, dresser, and the recliner I have set up in my nursing corner. I think my favorite contribution from family is the hand-made giraffe that my Aunt knit for him. I know it took her a lot of time and I adore it.
   
6. Bonus stroller: My MIL bought this for us, which I'm really grateful for. We live 2 blocks away from a sizable park and I wanted something that would be easy to handle on the walking trails.
   
7. Bonus floating shelves: I had a hell of a time installing these, but that was a fight between me and the drywall than it was the fault of the shelves themselves.

I can use any of these from my new semester wishlist.

Organizational stamps for my planner. I need to stay organized this semester so this would definitely be helpful.

Retractable highlighters multiple colors. I color code everything when it comes to school so this is helpful.

Colorful Pens I love these pens and there's so much colors. It goes well when I color code things, especially in my planner and are so much fun to use as well.

When I was in high school I dated a guy who legitimately wrote a song about me, vocals and guitar. In retrospect it was really cute and I should have been really flattered, but at the time I was mortified of being the center of attention! I THINK it was a song about how I wear jeans a lot (versus dresses or whatever) and don't give a crap about what people think of my attire (and how that's a super cute personality trait)? Other small sweet gifts depend very much on her. Is she cold all the time? How about a rechargeable hand warmer?

Is she into getting messy fixing stuff? Maybe a nice mechanics soap and lotion set.

Is she into cooking? Either get her a morning off cooking duty with seasonal breakfast favorites in bed or get her a cute apron/small utensil (silicone pot holders?)

Get her a 3month subscription to a subscription box so the gifts keep coming. Birchbox is beauty supplies and is affordable. There are tons of those type of monthly boxes tho.

You can look up tons of small gift ideas by searching “stocking stuffers for [hobby or trait]”. Like I found a cheap beginner drone by searching “gifts for film students” last year. Recipient was thrilled and it was like $27 at Amazon.

I'm very DIY, so I quite literally made stamps by hand two ways...

1. The Silhouette Mint They have different sizes that you can pick from and this is smaller than what you're looking for, but I used it for my RSVPs and I felt like it was huge (what I was looking for, but still huge)
   
   
2. For a different stamp that I wanted to be in white ink (something that isn't an option for the mint) I decided to hand carve, and it ended up being a lot easier than I thought it would be. I used this and carved with this I added a sticky backing that can be reused for other stamps to this and I was overall really happy with how it all turned out.

I fully agree. My fave is the the vintage floral which came out this summer. I am in my dirty thirties and work in a professional environment. The black and vintage theme allows me to take it to meetings and not be fully eccentric. I liked the new lay out other than the boxes. I love daily check lists a lot more and the ability to have a few monthly checkers. I found many amazing vintage floral stickers (other than their sticker packs) from wish.com that made it fully look like I pressed flowers throughout my planner. If anyone is doing the home body theme and likes a creative/random look, I highly recommend looking up floral stickers under this link!

Amazon has a pretty broad range they sell so that plays into our favor, however I definitely recommend buying a bigger bulk size and then cutting it down to the measurements of your cakes. You’ll want to adjust for thickness as well, nothing too thin so you don’t lose control and nothing too thick to where you can’t manipulate it enough. Hope these kind of help steer you in the right direction. These are just my top three and I use them for various sized desserts. Thickness and flexibility is key for keeping those sides clean, so finding that acetate unicorn is key!

I don't know how much you'd want to invest in this but have you considered matte black adhesive vinyl. I honestly can't vouch as to how well it would work for your needs but I have used it with good results on tables.

It should peel off of the walls when you are done with it. Just an idea, I understand it could be pretty costly for some especially depending on room size. There should be multiple bulk sellers for items like Oracal 631 if you are interested.

Tombow Dual Brush is great ‘large brush’ for beginners. I would say first do lots of practice with small brush pens and then move to ink and nibs.
