SAME! This is the one I got. For the exact same reasons. I got hot easily so I didn't want a heavy one, and silk/satin just gets sticky. I picked it up on sake for $20. One of the best 20's I ever dropped.

These are what I wear and they are pretty fantastic.

If you can't find a cheaper one, if I were you, I would probably just splurge. It's obvious that you really want this robe, and I am sure you would get years of use out of it.
