More evidence that this is a scam: I Googled “USABRANDNEWBOX”. There was only one result, an Amazon listing for an exercise machine (Jacob’s Ladder Total Body Exerciser). This offer no longer appears on the live page, but it’s still available in Google’s cache of the page.

The cached page doesn’t work 100%, since it’s a cache. But checking the source code to get some additional info, we can see:

  • The offer is for the exact same amount: $1,500.
  • The offer shows the item as being “Used, Like New”. Yet the only other listing for the item—in refurbished condition—is at a much higher price of $3,199.
  • Checking the source code, the $1,500 offer has comments giving identical instructions: “New in Box. BEFORE YOU ORDER CONTACT: USABRANDNEWBOX at GMAIL com”.

The scammer isn’t being very creative here. It looks like they’re finding low-availability, high-priced items, then posting too-good-to-be-true “new in box” offers of $1,500 with instructions to email them rather than just do a normal purchase.

Yep I had the same symptoms before joining otf. Custom insoles from roadrunner helped me get over that. The problem resurfaced last month when I totally forgot about the underlying issue and started running without insoles for last couple of months.
Here is how I am dealing with it now:
Insoles are back in my workout and all other shoes.
This massager is a miracle, you will feel the difference the day you use it for the first time (can't vouch enough) - TheraFlow Dual Foot Massager... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SMJIYNG?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
This calf stretcher is awesome too, I don't use it as much as massager though - VIVE Foot Rocker - Calf Stretcher... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015D9VG14?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
One last thing is socks, make sure your workout socks are sung, esp on the arches - I only use roadrunner socks and lulu socks now.

Sissy squats

Edit: Guys, stop downvoting. They are literally referred to as sissy squats. I'm not calling anyone or the movement a sissy.

PROMOTOR Fitness Equipment 3 in 1 Multi-Function Sissy Squat Sit Up Machine for Home Workout Gym Leg Hand Exercise https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DW265KX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_q7PjDbDCYNSBT

If I didn't get the machine right, that's fine, but I am pretty certain that it is what it is for.

u/belladonnadiorama · 3 pointsr/martialarts

I bought this guy on Amazon for about 20 bucks. Put it together in about 5 minutes, and I use it whenever I work out at home (the days I don't head over to the dojo). Worked out pretty well for me.

Wall + Gravity = Free

No stress on the ankles either. Towels are cheap as well. You won't find many people that recommend those things. But if you are really set on one: http://www.amazon.com/Tiger-Claw-Steel-Leg-Stretcher/dp/B0000CA2PA/ref=pd_sim_sbs_sg_6

$19.99

But again, these are not generally highly thought of. I think there is a reason they are generally pushed at martial artists instead of fitness professionals or even gymnasts.

I think it's a vertical leg press. Might be this one. Good reviews on Amazon.

u/JoggingGod · 1 pointr/wheelchairs

I bought something off amazon, it's actually for MMA. It's a stretching thing I use for my legs. Really makes stretching that much easier for me.

These sorts of things are good for all around stretching of that area: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015D9VG14/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_CWwiDbMBKHQ99

This is indeed a big struggle. Right now I have a small chain on the top pocket of the frame bag. I'm awaiting a thicker cable that I am bringing to Spain that I am hoping will fit in the top pocket where the small chain is now. This is the cable but I haven't tried it yet so I can't recommend it.

u/cpp_is_king · 1 pointr/bodyweightfitness

My hamstrings used to be the same. Laying on my back and having someone push my leg up while holding my knee in place to make sure it didn't bend, I would never get past 45 degrees. Even 45 degrees was painful.

I bought one of these, and it was a game changer. There's probably cheaper ones you can find, like a yoga strap or something, but this is what I used. Literally within a week i was at 80 degrees. Now I'm at about 100 degrees, and this has become the new point that I can't get past. Still though, I'm thrilled that I made it that far so easily.

The key is that when stretching with this thing I would also hold the stretch for 2-3 minutes. For the first week I would use it twice a day every day. After that I slowed down to once a day. Don't just go straight up with it either. While in the stretched position, you can rotate your leg to either side for additional stretching, and wiggling your toes also helps.

I know people will disagree with me and cite some study that says X Y Z method is better for stretching hamstrings and my method runs the risk of W, but I tried everything and nothing except this worked. The bottom line though is that stretching your hamstrings sucks and it's uncomfortable for people like us, so you need to have discipline to hold it for that full 3 minutes, and to keep doing it the next day.

Weighted calf raises on something like this or make one similar.

u/HomChkn · 2 pointsr/fitness30plus

Back in my sports days we would use something like this https://www.amazon.com/Powerslide-Slide-Lateral-Exercise-Trainer/dp/B000B8UZJC.

It may be too much on top of your MA training but my inner thighs would burn afterwards.

If it is not too bog of deal just get one of those playground bounce balls and hold it between your knees when you do things.

u/ServalSpots · 1 pointr/Whatisthis

/u/gagralbo is right about the sissy squat part, the front is exactly what those machines look like, seemingly with bars so you could add some weight.

But I am confused by the diamond plate behind the calf-pad, which seems made for standing on (or for feet, anyway), and the bar that runs down the middle from front to back. The exposed metal makes me think that plate slides along it. I think it's a dual use machine, but I don't know what the second use is.

u/[deleted] · 10 pointsr/whatisthisthing

It is a slide board for exercise - You slide back and forth on the mat by going from side to side

u/gaz2600 · 1 pointr/flexibility

I use one of these leg stretchers also Yin Yoga

u/Lysergic1138 · 5 pointsr/bodybuilding

Use the ankle cable attachment (or buy one) and put a pulley at the very bottom and perform them single legged.

u/sleepsucks · 1 pointr/flexibility

No, there is a link above. here is another link: stretch

u/armed_aperture · 2 pointsr/running

I bought one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/Vive-Foot-Rocker-Tendinitis-Flexibility/dp/B015D9VG14/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_121_t_0/142-1956656-5223132?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=6R96JZWCQBP9XF2183Z1

and I use it for 30 second stretches first thing in the morning, a few times throughout the day, and directly before bed.

I went from barely being able to walk in the morning to basically (still a bit sore in the morning) cured in about 10 days.

> How do you loosen your hamstrings?

I AM NOT A DOCTOR THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE!

A friend of mine who had to do physical therapy got a device - at the instruction of his physical therapist who is an expert and instructed him in its use - specifically for stretching hamstrings.

Here's a link to the device on Amazon. If you buy and use it and hurt yourself it's entirely your own stupid fault.
