About 10 years ago I think I got plantar warts from the local pool. I tried every over the counter treatment you could get. Freezing, the stick on pads, freezing immediately followed by the pads, every brand that I could get my hands on at Walmart, CVS and Rite Aid. When I thought something had worked a week or two later I'd see that it had just basically caused the skin around the warts to become dry and disgusting but not actually gotten rid of the wart, or the warts would just grow back. It was literally like a two year long ordeal. After digging around on Amazon I realized that it was because the salicylic acid was not sting enough. So I ended up getting Curad Mediplast pads with 40%salicylic acid. Basically you cut the pad down to the size of the wart, stick it on until the next day when you replace it with a new piece. I purchased the 25 count box of pads. After 2 or 3 weeks they were actually gone and have not returned in almost a decade. I think I only used 2 or 3 pads and have given the rest away over the years. Everyone else who has used the them also loved them. The box if 25 is kind of expensive but you can buy just 2 pads for like seven bucks and they should be enough for the one wart. A few notes just to give you a heads up. 1. I stood on my feet for 8 hour shifts so the pads would sometimes slide around. To stop that I would cover them with that stretchy waterproof medical tape. 2. Give it time. Don't stop until you have a hole. It basically dries out the area around the wart until it can kind of pop out, at least for me. 3. Your feet are gonna look like shit for a few weeks after. Once all the warts were out my feet were dry and had these divets that I thought would never go away. I was honestly super worried that they would just look like that forever. They won't. Just make sure you moisturize and GENTLY exfoliate. Do not try to rush the process. They will heal and the new skin underneath that is smooth will finally be all that's left after the dried out areas around the removed warts is sloughed off. The healing took me like two months maybe three, before my feet were back to normal but it was worth it. If you want to try the 2 pads here is the link >

Interesting, we def have different methods. I cannot be certain how good or bad your methods are but I just suggest you use your discretion to see what works best. If you have not tried the pen yet definitely do so! For me it felt like it was the best thing but it truly was a combo of that and the salicylic acid bandages. Here is a link to the pen I used: https://www.amazon.com/Compound-Removal-NITROFREEZE-Nitrofreeze-Replaceable/dp/B07D61ZTFW

Fuck compound W. Shit's expensive. You can get a box of mediplast patches which are twice as strong for cheaper off amazon. I went through two boxes of the damn things but god was it worth it. Also try to leave them on for as long as possible. 4-5 days seems to be the most effective according to the University of Minnesota medical school.

Good luck, and godspeed man. You'll win this fight.

It's extremely simple and guaranteed to remove any warts or neg or anything it'll even decolor those black spots on your body and beauty marks.

It's also very safe I've used it inside my mouth as well.

You buy a can of Air Duster from any store and you get a Q-tip it's better if you attach the little tube thing that comes with some air dusters.

So you pretty much get the air duster put it upside down so that the liquid drips from it when you press down on the nozzle the liquid will start dripping from it that liquid is -220 degrees and we'll freeze any living thing that comes into contact with poured that liquid on a Q-tip or even directly on the wart, and make sure that the wart stays Frozen like a rock for around a minute or two.

It'll be painless and you won't feel anything most likely until after the freezing goes away it'll be sore for a couple of days but your work will be gone after a couple of days.

I used to wrap socks on my feet with apple cider vinegar and keep them on for hours at a time until I don't most pass out from the pain who's the greatest pain I've ever felt and none of it worked I tried every single treatment crushed aspirin pills everything until I bought a cryotherapy kit from Walgreens and did it and it went away right away.

The cryotherapy kit is basically an overpriced thousand times more expensive version of The Upside Down Air Duster.

Max Professional Sub Zero Medical Freeze Spray - 10 Ounce Unit - Superior R152a Refrigerant https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PKLJ5K0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_9QaGDbZBS2M38

This is a product similar to an air duster it uses refrigerant instead so I think it's superior (maybe) I've never used it however, but you can read the comments on Amazon and see that other people are finding success with this method.

If I was you I would just go to a Home Depot or Walgreens or anywhere and find a can of Air Duster

Instruction of how to do it.

Assuming you are in the US, they sell wart removal kits like this in the medicine/pharmacy area of most supermarket stores like Public/Kroger/Walmart/target/etc. Dr. scholls makes a plantar wart remover which should also be sold in the same area.

A cursory glance at Amazon shows you can buy medical freezing spray but I don't know if it would be best for this situation. Looked like a large output and would potentially freeze larger areas than you would want; however, there were many options and I just looked at one.

Duck tape treatment for warts is controversial. You'd be better off getting an OTC salycylic acid patch/band-aid/sticker to directly apply on the wart. Here's a good recommendation:

Awesome find! If those are suede, make sure you brush off any debris as soon as you can, especially road salt. If you don't want to invest in a shoe brush, a soft bristled toothbrush will work. I use to a baby's brush - similar to the one of the left.

You might want to remove the laces & wipe them down with a little leather conditioner to keep them from getting brittle.

u/sheebus2906 · 2 pointsr/Warts

Yes, those are clotted capillaries which means both of those warts are still going strong. I highly recommend using "Bazuka" salicylic acid gel in lieu of garlic. I was able to remove 3 very stubborn plantar warts by repeatedly using that gel and debriding the wart with the file and a pair of cuticle nippers from Walgreens.

I use [Compound W Liquid] (http://www.amazon.com/Compound-Remover-Strength-Fast-Acting-0-31-Ounce/dp/B001G7QREO) about two times a week. Easier for those hard to reach places when you can't tie a string around it. Easy peasy.

u/xaeru · 1 pointr/todayilearned

I think it is best to use Duofilm. LINK

u/kiyosh · 2 pointsr/WTF

That's a plantar's wart. They are very hard to get rid of.

This should be in /r/medical...but I'll help.

I've experience removing them, but it'll take a few months. If you don't take care of it now it's going to spread everywhere and will take even longer to get rid of (Imagine them spreading into clusters next).

Best way to get rid of them: Freeze them. After the skins recovered a little from the freezing, apply salicylic acid patch to the wart and keep it on for as long as the package indicates. Then you'll need to peel the dead skin layers off. Once your skin recovers...rinse and repeat. Oh...this should go without saying...ANY contact that wart comes in on your hands or whatever other body part should be washed and sanitized to prevent it from spreading!

TL;DR: Freeze it, Acid it, Peel it, Rinse Repeat.

Edit: Use these products

OR (I would prefer the bottom pairing. Pads work better than drops)

try using this

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GCLTVG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

i used other freezing products before and it didnt work. i had a 5 year old wart to deal with. i did have some it removed using this. i would still recommend finding a doctor to treat this. that looks huge. or find a higher grade of acid than what i recommended. mines completely gone now. it took 5 months to get rid of but im over it. for now.

u/imbeingsirius · 1 pointr/Warts

The only thing that worked for me was 40% Salicylic acid (comes in a chapstick-like tube), spreading that on, bandaid on top, leave for 2 days, then shower with bandaid off, and when you get out, peel/file off all the dead skin.

Repeat until wart is totally exposed and therefore easy to peel/cut off.

Duct tape worked a little, but not as fast as the Salicylic acid, and it was less comfortable than a bandaid.

u/chocolatemeowcats · 2 pointsr/todayilearned

Try this. Worked for me even though I had some that were frozen with nitrogen, salyciclic bandaid didnt work, duct tape didnt work. I also found it at my local CVS

http://www.amazon.com/WartStick-Removal-Strength-Stick-Salicylic/dp/B00SHK1EFK

Its only flaw is that it looks like chapstick so keep it away from other people!

I have skin tags and I normally freeze them using Dr. Scholl's Freeze Away Wart Remover, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0019BQ0X0/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1 .

I had one on my eyelid once and I was afraid to use a freezing product in that location so I went to my doctor. He froze it off.

u/Scizmz · 19 pointsr/funny

Dude they sell a kit at drug stores that has liquid nitrogen in it for skin tags. https://www.amazon.com/Dr-Scholls-Skin-Remover-Count/dp/B00BMXE9QA

u/abw80 · 3 pointsr/politics

Maybe terror should use this

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/todayilearned

Yup that's the idea. Didn't work for me. I tried duct tape, apple vinegar, and nothing worked. It wasn't until I tried over the counter cryo that my Wart died and fell off:

http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Scholls-Freeze-Remover-Treatments/dp/B0019BQ0X0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1371497636&sr=8-3&keywords=wart

u/wwabc · 1 pointr/AskReddit

try these for a few days, it will kill the skin in a perfect little circle under the pad...then just cut away, no pain

http://www.amazon.com/Compound-Remover-Maximum-Strength-Medicated/dp/B001GCTX9A

the instructions on the box say to wear it for six weeks or something ridiculous...that's if you want it to dissolve it slowly. screw that.

or this one

It’s a liquid medication that basically peels it off layer by layer, but you need to actually follow the directions for it to work, it takes some time and needs to be applied daily (or more? I don’t remember).

If that doesn’t work, see a dermatologist. I had warts on my feet that would not go away with conventional treatment. I ended up having to visit a dermatologist once a month for a long time and they injected a type of chemo therapy directly into the warts to kill them.

u/thesecondkira · 3 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

OP. I feel your pain. I had warts all along my fingernails and all up and down my legs. Not on my face, but it was still gross and horrible. I tried duct tape but it kept falling off. I tried ACV but the smell was hell. That was not something I wanted to do long term.

In the end, and after about six months of battle, my immune system took the fucking hint and they all vanished. But in the meantime, I had the most success with a product called Wart Stick. The problem with a lot of salicylic acid treatments is the concentration is not strong enough. So check this one out. 40%.

And definitely stop shaving. That's how they spread all up and down my legs.
