Here are some photos of my RG AWS with three of Casemate's bands for the 38mm AW. I'm calling these "ladies' bands" since at least one was part of their so-called "Ladies Collection," but obviously if you're a dude into this aesthetic and you own a 38mm watch read on.
Note for all of these bands: the buckle hardware is super thick, so if you do a lot of typing and think having a hulking buckle under your wrist will be annoying, you'll want to pass on these bands. The connections for all three bands felt solid; no overhang and the bands clicked into place when I slid them on.

If you’re looking for a screen protector, I’d highly recommend this one. I do physical labor as part of my work which involves lifting objects, using tools and equipment, and working in a shop where there’s stuff all around that can be bumped into. I’ve banged my Versa into things a bunch of times but there hasn’t been a single scratch on it since this protected covers every millimeter of the watch that’s visible besides the buttons (it wraps all around to the back and there’s holes for the buttons). I was kind of wondering how well it would actually work until I smacked it into something which caused a fairly large and niticible scrap on the protector. I took the cover off to check the watch out and there wasn’t a single mark on it, and it still looks like new even after having it for around roughly six months. The only “issues” there are is that it might get dirty underneath and you have to remove the cover to charge it, but it literally takes one second to remove and put back on and all you need to do to clean it is take a damp towel and wipe it out.
I kind of went overboard on the accessories when I got my Versa since I was excited so here’s a few other things I picked up:
Versa charging dock: I wasn’t a fan of the charger that came with the Versa soI went with this. It’s nice and compact and pretty well made. Holds onto the watch well and charges very quickly.
Lether bands: I picked up four of these in different colors. Haven’t worn any of them a ton and only do so when I go out to do something nice which isn’t often lol (movies, dinner, etc.), but they’re comfortable and look good. Well made from what I see too.
Stainless steal bands: I’ve worn these more often than the previous ones and they’re really comfortable, you don’t even feel them at all. They fit into place perfectly as well and hook up easily too. I’m probably going to start wearing them more.
Rubber sport band: By far my favorite band and it’s the one I use daily. Stylish and durable and it’s one of the few times where I’ve seen a product advertise air holes as a feature and they actually work. Like I said I do a lot of physical work and I also lift weights, and I found that my wrist would become uncomfortable under the watch. This band actually does breath and I feel no discomfort. I did have a major problem getting it to hook in and considered sending it back at first, but it just simply doesn’t hook into the slots like other bands. It has the same mechanism but you kind of need to angle it downward and push it into place. Once I got that figured out, it didn’t become a problem at all.
I have a Polar FT7 and a Fitbit Flex. They are used for completely different types of activities, so I don't feel that one excludes the use of the other. I will also note that I LOVE data. I like being able to look back over the week/month/year at what I was doing and how I've improved. If you aren't big on data, these might not be of much interest.
I wear the Fitbit all day at work, around the house, wherever I may be. It's useful for those days I need a kick in the butt to go be active. If I see it's dinner time and I only have 3 dots (6000 steps), I'll take the dog out for a long walk. It is also useful for deciphering if I'm tired because I've been active or if I'm tired for another reason - it was largely responsible for me cutting out caffeine as I was experiencing a drop in energy on days without significant exertion. If you just need a daily reminder to push yourself a little farther, this may be an option for you. I have had two units fail on me, but their support staff replaced it fairly quickly without hassle and even sent the whole new package rather than just the electronic unit so I have spare chargers and wrist bands.
The Polar watch is a running accessory. I don't do too much in the way of strenuous exercise (although that is changing) aside from my running, but I looooove having the data from my runs. I like being able to set the screen to heart rate percentages, I aim to keep my HR around 85% on distance runs. If I'm feeling overly tired or slow, normally my HR is in the 90's range. Additionally, being able to access information on my watch is kind of cool. The chest strap takes some getting used to, I notice now that I tend to run without inflating my chest to breath between the strap and my tight sports bra, there isn't a ton of wiggle room.
Overall, I like them both. I find the Polar watch delivers more useful information and I would be much more upset if it stopped working than I have been the 2x my fitbit died. BUT if you are just jumping into the world of active lifestyle, a Fitbit might be a great form of motivation. Feel free to ask any questions you think of, I use both regularly for almost a year now so I feel pretty comfortable giving recommendations.
I bought one metal band from Amazon that had more of a chain link feel to it, and it was alright. I prefer the original metal band from Fitbit. It's expensive, but I use it all the time, so I feel that it was worth the hefty price. I actually use the leather bands more than my plastic and metal ones, specifically from the brand Bayite. I have been using both my black and tan leather bands for 9 months now (looking at my amazon history!) and they are holding up great. I use a leather wax / conditioner though whenever they are looking a bit dry or beat up, and once polished, they're as good as new and super soft.
Also you are not vapid at all for wanting to spice up your Alta! I love switching bands depending on the occasion / outfit / activity. Plus, I think that was the point of the Alta's convenient band design in the first place! :)
Goal: Get serious and start on the path of losing the ~200lbs I need to lose.
I am going to do this by REALLY getting back on the wagon with low carb/keto. I have screwed around way too long and am now facing on a possible diagnosis of diabetes.
I will be logging my weight/food/any exercise into Fitday. I will take a before and during pic (since there will be no after that quick with the weight I need to lose). These two things will be my 'proof' so to speak. (I am getting a head start on it tomorrow but know my progress won't start counting till the 1st :) )

First off, many of these things are intentionally cheap, because I do tend to break and/or lose things, so... Here goes.
All have Amazon links, because that was what was easiest.

Left front pocket:

Left back pocket:

Dat is a nice canvas. I mean a really nice Canvas. 6 yards?! You could literally paint allll the the things!
Both of these are on my randoms list:
From my Doctor Who list is this badass FOB watch. Why do I want it? Because it is a badass FOB watch lol.
Excellent contes... question to ask! Thanks for doing so!
I just got the Flex! Totally loving it and it easily has increased my desire to workout more or just be more active.
Glad that I can still sync to my computer through the USB dongle and have the app on the N4 update as well.
Amazon link for those interested: Fitbit Flex
I don't run but I track my daily movements.
iOS has a native health app that feeds off the m7/m8 motion coprocessor . Pretty accurate. I use argus as my daily driver. Pretty cool app.
this is pretty good.
gimme some tech Daddi!
I searched 'programming' in posts in the last month to see who likes stuff that I like and came across /u/ayyyyyyyyyyyyy-lmao's intro post and guess what? We live in the same state, so they must be pretty cool. You should definitely get them The Self Taught Programmer. I've heard that it's a good book, and even though I've been working in tech for the past year I still feel lost enough to have just added it to my wishlist too lol. It's not, uhhh, technically tech so if you want me to choose something more techy then go with the Fitbit! Those things do a lot of cool stuff. I don't like wearing things on my wrist so I'll probably never get one for myself.
I commend you for your weight loss. I'm probably as far along as you are with how much I've lost, but its going slowly for me. I started Weight Watchers last year, got on track, have curbed my eating habits but due to a pinched nerve in my spine I can't do much in the way of physical activity. I mostly do a stationary bike at home as well as moderate free weights. I am a very big guy and could do with losing another 120-150 pounds. At my heaviest I was sitting around 370. I'm probably somewhere around 340-350 right now. It doesn't help that I've been unemployed for a month, because I've spent most of my time driving around looking for work or in front of my computer on various job sites.
Just so you know, it may be expensive but it is well worth it to grab a FitBit. It is a pedometer and so much more. My father has used his (he washed one once and it still worked afterwards, but then he lost it on vacation) for the last year and a half, and with the fitness tracker and sleep tracker built in, alonside his diet and exercise, he's lost damn near 70-80 pounds. He's looking into getting the wristband/watch style FitBit as it is easier to always have on you and less likely to fall off (the original one just clips to clothing wherever you'd like). Depending on his reviews I may grab one at some poing as well to get me a bit more motivated.
Keep doing what you're doing, friend.
This would really help me to reach my goal. Unfortunately, my health has never really been the highest of my priorities and I have a hard time buying stuff like this for myself. :/ I have about 65 pounds to lose and idk id I can do it but here's hoping. This is a really amazing thing for you to do. Thank you for your generosity.
I'm selling:
[Stair climber] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K6ZURAW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for sale for $75. See the amazon post for specs and reviews. This works well and it is put together so you can try it out before you buy it. I've upgraded to a treadmill so I no longer need it. It's compact and easy to fold up for storage, so it's good for small spaces.
Fitbit Flex for sale for $35, which includes a package of colored replacement bands, a $15 value alone (wrist bands are the smaller of the 2 wrist sizes). The Flex was bought less than a year ago and still works perfectly. See the amazon post for specs and reviews. I've upgraded to one with a heart rate monitor, so I no longer need it. This comes with the setup instructions, charger, and wrist bands. The black bands are little worn, but others are in good shape.
TV stand with Flat Panel Mount for sale for $50. See the post for specs and reviews. I bought this, but didn't really fit my decor, so put it in storage shortly thereafter. Perfect condition and is assembled.
I live near Oracle and Orange Grove.
Chromecast for the cheap, fun and useful gift. Fitbit Flex for the athletic, weight losing, or simply gadget-loving person. Bose QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones for anyone who likes music or flies often. Also pricey... so you better like this person. I would also think things like the GoPro and Nexus 7 would make good gadget gifts. Maybe a Pebble?
Yes, you should wear it when you work out. The Flex won't do anything fancy like track your heart rate, but you will get steps. Just keep in mind, it works when you swing your arm so if you are on a bike, you won't get steps in. They do sell shoe clips to hold the Flex as well as stretchy bands that may fit around your ankle to remedy this. I wear mine around my ankle most of the time since I find it more comfortable and accurate.
I use this: http://www.amazon.com/Griffin-Silver-Wristband-Fitness-Trackers/dp/B00L1G4MG0/ref=pd_sim_468_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=41ItdC2KN9L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1VG5R9Q83JZTGPQWKRQ0
Welcome to the Fit Users team, there are dozens of us, dozens! :)
You can configure which app can send notifications, from your phone within the Galaxy Wear app. It's useful if you receive too much Whatsapp notifications etc. that you don't want on your phone, but you definitely need that parking paying app to notify you when your parking payment expires :)
I still don't have third party bands because they are hardly available in Amazon France, we don't have all those fancy amazon.com bands yet!
Metal bands might work: I'm almost positive that solves the bubbling issue right off the bat.
But I would think you'd want to avoid playing basketball with a metal band, so...
If you don't want a metal band (and want to stick to rubber), then this is my favorite. It looks a bit weird (it doesn't actually use the band connectors: it's just a rubber "pocket" that holds your fitbit). However, it feels relatively secure and comfortable. Also I doubt these bands will ever bubble, considering there isn't any glue anywhere in the band.
If you're looking for something in between, one of my favorite bands that I used to wear was actually made up of two parts: a metal connector that I scavenged from an old (fully metal, with watch-links) band, and a regular (20mm, I think) braided nylon watch strap. Incredibly lightweight. However, this is kind of a gamble because you never know what kind of pins aftermarket fitbit bands actually use, so it's best to tread carefully.
I use these Apple Watch Sport style bands, I wonder if they would breakaway? You could try researching Apple Watch users’ experience with them. Plus they are super comfortable - I love not having a clasp.
Related to one above - that you can buy a replacement strap for the flex band...I wash mine all the time, but I really like a new, clean band everyone couple of months :) https://www.amazon.com/Scosche-Rhythm-Replacement-Strap-Optical/dp/B00XM1F1US
I did a lot of research into fitness trackers before deciding to buy the Fitbit Alta HR. I’d only recommend the Charge if you plan on swimming. I actually disable the auto-exercise recognition because its just as easy, and more accurate to manually log workouts in the app like you do water, and calories.
It’s been perfect for 24/7 wear. I do weightlifting and HIIT cardio 8-10 times per week. The downsides would be removing it in the shower, and it needs to be charged every 4-5 days. The charge is water proof and says it will hold a charge for 7-10 days.
The Alta HR is smaller than the charge. I threw the strap that came with it in a drawer and bought this inexpensive magnetic clasp band on Amazon.
fhttps://www.amazon.ca/dp/B06WVHQ4BC
My agency had purchased a large number of them about 5 years ago and was encouraging parents to have their school-aged kids wear them in case something happened, but there wasn't any significant follow through from the community. I used one for a while, but it's less than a gig of storage and the software is seriously outdated so I wiped it and threw it away.
I haven't heard of any doctor's providing them, but I think its an outstanding idea! You might check with your regular provider as well as any local/state funded clinics to see if they offer them.
There's plenty of the things available for less than $50 online (which I know can still be a LOT of money, but it's less than most custom engraved life alert bracelets): https://www.amazon.com/EPIC-id-USB-EMERGENCY-BAND-White/dp/B00P2VA04I
right here!
People say it really helps with their healthy choices and making better decisions, and since my resolution is to lose weight and get healthier, I feel like it would be a good addition.

To Start I am not an expert on nutrition but, I can recommend something like this if you can afford it. Now just like other people said in this thread starting off slow can't hurt you. With the fitbit you can set reasonable daily goals and make sure you meet them. Go for a walk around the block etc. It has a food tracker for later down the line. Watch some motivational videos and possibly visit /r/Brogress or /r/loseit
Here's some.
I like this one, since it's waterproof: https://www.amazon.com/Colorful-Waterproof-Replacement-Wireless-Wristband/dp/B07C1228KC/ref=pd_sbs_200_8?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B07C1228KC&pd_rd_r=1J86YJ815B7SJAB126GN&pd_rd_w=xxVS9&pd_rd_wg=j0WNa&refRID=1J86YJ815B7SJAB126GN

Hope those will help. Since my earlier answer is dumb.
I replaced mine using this one - it was pretty easy. The instructions were easy to follow.
Yes! I've had to buy two new clips, also. But they've just ended up doing the same thing, and the price is a bit much, in my opinion. I found some cheap knockoffs on Amazon.com that do the trick, but the material isn't as "sticky", which makes me feel it's less secure. However, it also tends to stay together better, since there isn't so much friction on the fabric.
I intake 1700-2500 calories, for a 1000 calorie deficit. Sorry I wasn't very clear there.
Here's a list of literally 3 devices that accurately measure calorie burn. They have been tested to be accurate to within 100kcals. It took me some convincing, but I'm glad I finally got one.

Now, I agree with you about the pushups and situps, but unfortunately I'm in the Army so my goals aren't just to look good. I also need to be able to do 75 pushups and 83 situps in two minutes each so that's what I'm working towards.
I'm not too sure Girlsplaywow is a jerk but hey, whatever! ;) This is what I'm really interested in - I've jumped on the [fitness and weight loss bandwagon] (http://www.amazon.com/Fitbit-Wireless-Activity-Sleep-Wristband/dp/B00BGO0Q9O/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=5G95A9NSQGKK&coliid=I3UYTZ587DQHVD) and this will really help me stay on track!

$99 for the fitbit flex
it has a usb fob that will sync the data wirelessly whenever you are within 20 ft of your computer. You can get extra usb fobs to use in other computers.
It syncs to the website, and still very worth it. I like the immediate feedback of having it on my smartphone, but it can also be useful having the computer only version.
It also comes with the small AND the large wristband. And it's waterproof.
I'm saving up for a Fitbit Flex. It's like a pedometer, sleep tracker, alarm clock, bracelet and more all in one. I want it sooooo bad, but I just can't justify shelling out almost $100 all at once on something for myself. Even if it would help me achieve my fitness goals easier. I get the mommy guilt if I buy anything more than $20 for myself.
Got the black one since reviews mentioned the printing flakes off on the patterned ones. Looks pretty good and allows for charging without being removed.

I would second the Fitbit. Anyone interested in exercise would enjoy all of the tracking and data the fitbit provides in my opinion.
Idk what that would be like.
The charge is this small USB cable that has like this shell and 2 metal points on the bottom.
I did buy this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ABST70E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for $5. It fits so damn perfect, and looks better than the original
Edit: I jsut checked amazon for that mi band charger, it looks identical!
Update: The mi band 2 charger also looks the same, but they say they are not compatible with the other.
Controller skins are nice... more for reduced scuffing up of the things around me than the controllers themselves.
Headset skin traps moisture beneath it. Skip it.
I have this case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XXDVV3B
It's like 40% cheaper and better reviewed.
I’ve actually been really happy with this one I ordered off amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B071KFV358/ref=sxts_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1511553459&sr=1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65
You unscrew the 4 screws on the underside to remove the tracker from the band, and then transfer the tracker to the new band. I have had zero issues with this replacement band!
Edit: do not order the small though! It is about an inch smaller than the “small” size actual Fitbit band.
I got her a Fitbit Flex and a Tory Birch bracelet that holds the Fitbit Flex tracker.
Not sure what she got me, since it's not Christmas, but when I was in the process of telling her not to spend much for me she told me she spent a few hundred..so much for that, lol.
Currently it's this bracelet that tracks your movement through the day and texts you to let you know if you haven't reached your goal (:
Hardshell travel cases. Some are even made specifically for the Vive with foam cutouts and all that. I just found 2 on Amazon & I'm sure there are more out there.

There's those 2 for a start. I think those cases are small enough for carry on, which is a plus.
I'd suggest investing in one of the travel cases for extra safety.

The Moretek Fitbit Charge 2 Rugged Replacement Band should protect your watch from drops.
Of course the super cool wristband!
Interested in buying a Fitbit (or any decent fitness tracker) for my GF's father, but he wears a watch. I'm nervous he won't want to wear it.
Anyone have any experience how these pair with a watch? I think that he'll think it's a little weird if he has two bracelets on and they both show time and possibly discourage him. I know the Flex is smaller and has minimal display, but we are also considering the larger Charge.
Any recommendations on products welcomed! Thank you.
If you want it to only spin or only catch, you have to change the settings in the in-game menu. The settings on the gotcha itself only toggle the auto function. So if you "turn off" catching on the gotcha, that's only turning off the autocatch and now you'll have to click on it manually every time, does that make sense? Other than that, no. Also, people (including me) have serious issues with it right now probably due to the update (seems to be android problem), but that will hopefully be fixed soon... You can also buy a different band if you don't like the fruity one it came with.
New strap from Amazon.

There are a ton on Amazon. I have a plain black and a plain orange. Using one right now to cover up the bubbling on my Charge HR band.

Do you want a Fitbit-esque band or something softer?

My most life changing thing would probably be my fitbit one. It's an activity and sleep monitor. I have been over weight almost all my life, but started weight watchers in January ( after resolution season) and I've lost 20 pounds so far, but I'm at a very long platu. I need to change something to get out of the rut. I think by keeping myself very aware of my sleep wake cycles and activity it could be the butt kick I need to lose the next 110 pounds. I know it'll be a journey, but the fitbit, can help me record it.
