Cool. It couldn't hurt to get a standalone TDS meter to double check though, which could also be used to check the water in your storage container (to make sure there's nothing in there that's 'contaminating' the water). Pretty reliable ones are inexpensiveness, like this one. Bottom line is that you have too many nutrients in the tank, as others have said. Just because phosphates are low on your test kit (which one by the way?) doesn't mean that they're not just being consumed by the algae quickly. Have you tried a blackout too, as well as a general reduction in your photo-period?
I'm in Utah. My pile is at 130 degrees! I have this same compost thermometer, which is Cate's Garden (no guarantee that Amazon is the best price, just linking).

I got myself one of these. I keep the remote near my fermenting beer/wine etc and the display in my kitchen. That way I can see what room temperature is and what my wine room temperature is all from the kitchen. No need to go downstairs.

If it didn't lock you could still lock it manually using the keyfob as you walk away. I'm not sure I'd trust this device to keep pets alive though. If I did I'd only be for times when I had no choice and I would hang a big thermometer on the rear view mirror so a passersby can see the internal temperature of car.
I'd also put up a note that explains everything with my cell number too. I'd even put on the note that if they are unable to reach me and the temperature is above 80F inside the car they have my permission to break the window.
Technology isn't perfect and losing your pets is not a great way to learn that lesson.
