Top Reddit comments about Shop Wet Dry Vacuums:

I bought this shop vac last year and love it. I have it mounted in the center of the front wall of my garage. That makes it super easy to vacuum one of the cars out while parked.

A big, powerful shop vac that you'll find 836 uses for, and a nice sized portable air compressor (not one you can lift with your pinky, like a 60 gallon so it can be used for all types of tools. Smaller compressors tend to not run them right or have to constantly run to keep the pressure up.

If you have some property, a decent chain saw.

A good tool bag to be able to move a bunch of tools at once (a decent husky bag should be ~$20, well worth it imo)

I got a replacement vacuum hose for a normal vacuum (not a shop vac) for like $7: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CP09P2G/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and it's great because it's very flexible and elastic so it shrinks to size. Way easier to work with than those rigid shop vac hoses.

This is the one I got. I was really surprised by how good it is. Comes with two filters, different attachments, a small hose, and is really powerful. I’ve used it to clean up spilt kitty food with no issues. And it’s cheap!

Actually, they make switches that do exactly what you described, but without the bluetooth. I use one myself, and it works great unless the tool isn’t able to draw enough power (the switch activates when a certain amount of current passes through it). When it doesn’t, it’s usually because I’m using an extension that’s not big enough or a cheap three way. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001BSL1BM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_4ir4BbK7RT5BM

while this has a lot of truth behind it, the "non-offensiveness" of their droppings lends it self to easy cleanup... i have a mini shop vac that i use every other day and its pretty much effortless to keep my room and their cage clean. after having them for almost 4 years ive learned to arrange my room without any random hiding spots (e.g., running gaps along the bed and walls) which would otherwise turn into poo hiding stops.... that said, i would rather pic up after these little guys than a large sized dog. ^_^

So I have two dust vacs but I was looking for a nice, quiet HEPA one. This one got great reviews up against the Festool but I just want to avoid connection issues. I have one. Works pretty good for small deals.

Not the cheapest option but the 18V cordless shop vacuums actually work well unlike most gutless battery powered vacuums. Make sure you get the big battery, the compact battery drains way too fast.

I have a Milwaukee, DeWalt also makes a similar product

I use a hoover powered brush attachment that I got with an upright vacuum (has a little squirrel cage inside it that spins up the agitator) for cleaning upholstery.

I have a Dewalt that's mostly used to cleani up at job sites but it cleans out my car like a champ. It uses the same 20V battery that other Dewalt products use so if you already have other Dewalt batteries you have backups.

I used my small shop vac and hooked the hose so blew to clean my rig over the weekend. Worked great. If you have one laying around, give it a try.

u/TJnova · 1 pointr/woodworking

Yeah, I could see it working well if you had two matched vacs.

My setup would be a 6hp, 150cfm vac and a [bucket vac] (http://www.amazon.com/Shop-600-45-00-Vacuum-Head-Power/dp/B00FVZ91D6). I could see the more powerful vac sucking through the smaller vac, basically fighting it. Hopefully someone else had tried this, if not, it will only cost 10 bucks for an adapter to try it out.

u/masasuka · 4 pointsr/UNBGBBIIVCHIDCTIICBG

these things are amazing I keep one in the car when I travel, small, light, easily portable, and make great shower seats.

u/Monkey_Kebab · 1 pointr/WhatsWrongWithYourDog

I bought one of these Ridgid 18v handheld vacs to do quick clean-ups and it works great. I just put on an extension tube and then run around sucking up the bigger fluffs. Worth every penny!

I can totally relate to your honeymoon experience... I'm on vacation in NYC right now, and keep finding little bits of her hair.

u/shithawksthrowaway · 1 pointr/microgrowery

Saucer - Big enough for the smart pot?
Remove excess water - Bucket Head
Pots off floor - Something like this?
powerstrip with built in timer - Found - Why use this over a stand alone timer? how many things need to be timed out?

u/Inspiration_Bear · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

Thanks for the insight. Was your Dustless the D1606?

u/mac_the_man · 1 pointr/HomeImprovement

This one?

How does that Ridgid compare to the DeWalt I was thinking about?

Thanks all.

+1 for the Milwaukee DA, ima piggyback off this comment to mention their cordless vacuum.

u/thunderpants11 · 2 pointsr/pelletgrills

I was just about to buy a regular vac and saw this! Thank you!

I use this vac for all cleaning. It's absolutely fanatic. You can pull the filter out and shake it then rinse it off.
