    Features:
  • For Relief Of Occasional Heartburn: Palatable and mild-tasting formula contains a blend of herbs and nutrients designed to soothe occasional heartburn. * Easily mixed in a liquid of your choice
  • Supports Stomach Lining: Amino acids Glycine, Glutamine and N-Acetyl Glucosamine (NAG) promote collagen production and support the gastric mucosal lining for occasional indigestion relief
  • Promotes Healthy Ph Balance In Gi Tract: Unlike acid reducers which can interfere with mineral absorption, the main action of Heartburn Tx* is to promote production of soothing protective mucus by the goblet cells of the GI lining

  • We test every ingredient we use and every finished product we make. FDA regulation (GMP Part 111) requires that manufacturers test ingredients and finished products. However, it allows manufacturers to perform minimal “skip lot testing” meaning only some of the ingredients are tested. Vital Nutrients has always exceeded these testing requirements by performing a significant number of additional tests on raw ingredients and finished products at independently certified U.S. labs. FODMAP sounds like a very good idea. Some people get benefit from a medication by the name of Bentyl, which has been around forever. There are other strategies/medications that can be used to treat symptoms.

Consider treating the nausea as a symptom of gastritis. Try Ranitidine and Antiacid before meals and at bedtime. Give this a try for at least five days to see if this doesn't improve your symptoms. Good luck.

As an aside, you come across as a very intelligent, articulate and informed teenager. If you have interest, medicine might be a good fit for you.

10 pounds of sodium bisulfite costs around $9 and makes up about 90 liters of sprayable solution... (antidotal for CS "tear gas" 2-chlorobenzalmalononitrile). EDIT: 5 tablespoons in a 1 liter container fill with water to 1 liter.

It's a food preservative used to keep fresh greens crisp.

The only way to deal with OC (Oleoresin Capsicum "pepper spray") is to dilute it as quickly as possible using a mild detergent like Dawn dishwashing liquid or baby shampoo. Both are pretty safe to get in the eyes or mouth though neither are particularly tasty... and both are dirt cheap.

So, the amount these packets cost for one person I'd say it's fairly likely that using these two things together is by far the better economy.

Maalox antacid liquid has also been reported to have good results, but these are fairly expensive too, though I venture to say they taste a bit better.

Update: (I just grabbed links to sources for illustration. Better prices could possibly be found)
The best price I've found for
Maalox has been about $24 for (3) 12 oz bottles). Cut 50/50 with water as recommended by protesters using this and that is just over 2 liters.... 3 of these would treat 6 people at a cost of about $72. ($12/liter)

as opposed to a 65 lb bucket of sodium bisulfite for $60 that would be about 590 treatments ($0.10/liter)

Johnson's Baby Shampoo 20oz 120 teaspoons/ 3 applications= 40 treatments = $5.50 ($0.14/treatment)

You can get sugar free Tums. I was taking 4-6 of those a day when I started keto, but the heartburn I was having rapidly improved over my first few weeks and I was down to just half a tablet a day and then less. They used to have dextrose in them so I'd count them as 0.5g just to be safe, but it looks like they've changed the way they make them and they are truly sugar free now.

It sounds like his brain is mapped differently than yours. I think this is something to talk about with him in a non-confrontational way, as he isn't going to change that dipswitch in his brain that enjoys that aspect of regression and being around others who do the same.

I would keep the conversation focussed around: "I enjoy our relationship, and I want to make this work - but it's clear we need to define some boundaries around when it's okay to engage in this and when it isn't. Can we agree that during eating times is off limits, and that if I am not in a mental space where I can deal with the smell that I can politely ask you to go elsewhere? It's not my intention to make you feel shame for what you enjoy, but we just are not on the same level of enjoyment on this."

Also, maybe get him some Devrom to help his mess stink less (https://www.amazon.com/Devrom-Capsules-Bottle-of-100/dp/B000O08G2U/ref=pd_sim_194_4?ie=UTF8&dpID=21CgswTtHBL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&psc=1&refRID=M9A5RJVA9VBWCEQNT8HF).

Have you tried any meds? Uribel works really well to minimize my pain, but some people have insurance problems with it. And I take Prelief when I "cheat" on my diet. It's a supplement but was strongly recommended by my urologist, and I've had good luck with it.

Also, if you eventually want to try coffee again... It's way less acidic if you cold brew it. You can heat it up after if you want. :)

Def look into H pylori as a potential cause. Other than that:

  1. DGLicorice
  2. GI Revive (Or Heartburn TX)
  3. Probiotics (worth a try)
  4. Lastly my doctor tells me he gets great results with IRF

    Good luck!

Queen Lily is the best!

I really want this OTC medication. It's free shipping and no tax if you choose a third-party seller :)

Where have you been all my life, Chris?

u/macedindu420 · 14 pointsr/tacobell

I order these feom amazon. They work great.

Basic Care Omeprazole Delayed Release Tablets 20 mg, Acid Reducer, 42 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074F1RWV9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_SO.QBbKFBRT2K

Its just like prilosec

u/ameoba · 1 pointr/NoStupidQuestions

We're not talking about black-market penis pills, just generic OTC meds. I've bought plenty of stuff from Amazon without problem.

Here's 2x 85-count bottles of Omeprazole for $18 with Prime shipping - that's 10 cents a pill. "Kirkland Signature" is Costco's house brand so it's probably pretty trustworthy.

u/tattooedBetty · 1 pointr/NoStupidQuestions

sorry took so long to reply, I was out of town. You can get Tagamet (or any of the generic Cimetidine) at a drugstore over the counter or even online from Amazon. As a vegetarian, there are many vegetables that can cause the symptoms you describe - potatoes does that to me, as do sweet potatoes. Every time you feel the symptoms, make a list of EVERYTHING you ate for the past 24-48 hours (some foods take longer to affect you). You may find a pattern. Good luck!

u/justlurkingaround1 · 1 pointr/ChronicPain

Prelief is an OTC antacid. For whatever reason, it seems to help a lot of people. The top review on Amazon is by someone who uses it for GERD, actually.

And no, I'm not trying to sell it or something. :) Just thought it might help you.

u/asabassa1 · 6 pointsr/PipeTobacco

Thats pretty great. I often have this after a smoke, or after a meal: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0193YY8HO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_R-ttzbGQ4KA11

You can buy Gaviscon Advance (UK version) at Amazon from various sellers, both the liquid and tablet form. It seems to vary in price quite a bit over time--if you wait you can often get a pretty reasonable price. A couple of items I've ordered in the past:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002QEPFKS

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012YJMALG

Also it is possible to order ingredients and make your own Gaviscon Advance very, very easily at a very low cost. Some instructions:

Here are the raw ingredients I ordered from Amazon to do that:

I'm not sure if you've tried this before, but it might be helpful to anyone reading. I take a bunch of daily medications for migraines and they give me severe heartburn, and the only thing that's ever worked has been:

8oz water

3tbsp apple cider vinegar

4tbsp honey

The heartburn my medication gives me can cause me to vomit, that's how bad it can get. I really recommend this tip to anyone who hasn't found an OTC remedy yet. It doesn't taste as bad as you'd think.

Also, if your heartburn is caused by food, my doctor recommended this acid reducer to take before meals that might help.

u/mahlernameless · 1 pointr/keto

Rofl, salt tabs would be a much better deal.

Better to drink some chicken bouillon.

Or suck on a coarse-sized Himalayan pink salt crystal.

u/blithetorrent · 2 pointsr/GERD

No, those are not correct. That's the American version, which are better than any other American antacid, but not as good as the UK stuff. Here's a link:

https://www.amazon.com/Gaviscon-Advance-Chewable-Tablets-Peppermint/dp/B012YJMALG/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=gaviscon+advanced&qid=1556906317&s=amazon-devices&sr=8-5

Other people are recommending the Gaviscon Advance Aniseed liquid, which is great stuff but way too much $$ for me since I use a lot

u/Silent_Glass · 1 pointr/keto

It’s an antacid. But better and cheaper than alka-seltzer’s. It’s basically Sal de Uvas which basically translates to “grape salts”. You can buy them for like 2 bucks at Walgreens or CVS.

Here’s the link from amazon;

4 X Sal De Uvas Picot Effervescent Anti Acid Heartburn Upset Stomach Relief 48 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IABFO4I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_lkCqDb1GF70BM

u/cutpeach · 2 pointsr/askgaybros

These are the tablets I use, 2 with each meal is usually about right. Happy humping.

u/sub-dural · 1 pointr/ChronicPain

This is so frustrating, this vicious cycle. It is really important to be take the prilosec every day if you suspect an ulcer. I've developed ulcers twice on NSAIDs, they didn't become bad, but each time my rheumatologist had me come off of the NSAID and take omeprazole twice a day for two weeks straight until the pain improved, and slowly add the NSAID back in.

I am the same way with NSAIDs. Your back will hurt, but your back won't kill you, the bleeding ulcers can. I know what you might say, but have you tried extra strength tylenol? You can try that in replacement while you try and get the stomach thing under control.

I found these on amazon.

If you can't afford it please PM me.

u/HyderabadifromHyd · 9 pointsr/soccer

Better get a ton of these then.

u/Siansian010 · 1 pointr/pregnant

these
Saved my life.

u/thepatchouligirl · 0 pointsr/Coffee

You could try Prelief

It neutralizes acid - take 2-3 with first sips of coffee, works with acidic foods too

u/MonodonMonoceros_MD · 1 pointr/whatisthisthing

I have a strange thought - it reminds me of these Italian antacid flakes...
