    Features:
  • Turn your favorite high heels into suede-soled dance shoes or replace worn-out suede soles on existing dance shoes.
  • Enjoy the ideal friction properties of suede soles when dancing on well-maintained and clean wood dance floors - at a fraction of the price of new suede-soled dance shoes. Suede soles should not be worn on any surface other than clean wood dance floors.
  • Don't fuss with messy, smelly glues. No glue is needed for this product. Just peel off the protective liner from the self-adhesive backing and apply your new suede soles to your shoes. It is really that simple!

So I have a serious eye for color!

Some recommendations would be a slacks with cardigan approach. Better for the fall months, but some colorful slacks such as these would definitely spruce things up! I have a similar pair, I usually match with a dark gray cardigan.

For days when you don't fear a visit from Mother Nature, these pants paired with a darker top and a scarf or gold necklace would look great!

For hotter days, a nice pencil skirt would do well! It's nice because you can get bold beautiful colors, which will keep you feeling young but also give off a professional vibe.

I also recommend a character shoe because they are comfortable, low heel, and will go with everything and anything.

For tops, a simple button-down shirt or blouse such as this will do. You can also accessorize with necklaces. You can find easy stuff on ebay or Forever 21. Here's a good example.

And in case you get cold? Cardigans. You can find something beautiful, stylish, and professional that will keep you warm in harsher weather (and air conditioning).

Finally, pick whatever feels comfortable. I only linked certain stores because that's what came up. Really, it's up to you what makes you comfortable and confident. You need to really know what you want, and go get it. Your fashion style is your own and no one can change what you like and dislike. Also, you will find things in different stores you may like, you will find them for cheaper and they will make you feel more assured then anything online could.

Good luck!!!

I would strongly recommend a pair of character shoes, if they'll be hidden under your dress. They're made specifically for dance competitions and broadway dancers, so they are extremely easy to dance in - and extremely comfortable. I've heard of many people using them for their weddings, and they'll provide you with better support and comfort than any other heel out there. Typically, they're available in tan and black. Capezio, Sansha, and Bloch are the three most common brands, but I've also heard good things about So Danca in terms of being comfortable (and they're a bit cheaper). I prefer Capezio to Sansha and Bloch for both comfort and appearance.

All three of these are available on Amazon and eBay for $30-50. If you're willing to splurge, LaDuca shoes are the Cadillacs of character shoes. Their price point is typically ~$250, but they are absolutely worth every penny.

You'll be able to find Bloch and Capezio at your local dance supply store. The employees there have fit thousands of these shoes and will know exactly what to look for to maximize comfort. They're used to fitting shoes for dancers who spend hours and hours in dance shoes on a weekly basis - so they know the importance of the perfect fit.

Congrats on your wedding! Wishing you all the best for your big day.

I LOVE Capezio canvas Juliet shoes! I prefer to sew my straps for best fit but I believe on Capezio’s website, you can order them pre-sewn. Order a size up. Ive used these since junior high, through high school, college ballet, and most recently pole dancing classes. If you’re a beginner, I highly recommend canvas because it’s more of a forgiving fit than leather. Leather takes some getting used to. I also think seeing your own straps is the best way to get the perfect fit for your own feet- you don’t have to be great at it, just a simple stitch will do. I hope this helps!

You probably want to look into getting professional dance shoes (for latin dancing). They come pretty close to what you are looking for, but might not always be that sparkly (because sparkles wear off rather quickly when dancing).

Here are some options:

I'm really not a heels person, but I want a pair of black heels that are comfortable and will stay on my feet. I have some Naturalizer ones that are pretty good but now I'm thinking about getting these Capezio character shoes, since I've heard that shoes made for theatre/dance are more comfortable and will definitely stay on. Thoughts?

OMG yes. I wore dance shoes at my wedding and they were great. Specifically i got this pair of Capezio ballroom shoes: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006LXZP2S/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_7.LQub0WCAYKN
and then i added swarovski crystals: http://i.imgur.com/M25ln3G.jpg
http://i.imgur.com/XYv1ii6.jpg

They were fabulous, confortable, danceable, and easy to put on and take off because of the dancer's clasp. Dancing shoes generally have a larger toebox so added comfort there, plus they are generally made to be more flexible. Latin shoes tend to have leather soles whereas traditional ballroom shoes have the suede soles.

Mine had suede bottoms and my feet felt great all night! I did, however wear them outside, which is generally a no-no if you're going to bring them back on the dancefloor, but i figure i can brush them later on down the road if i ever want to do real dancing in them again.

You should also be able to find them in a wider selection of sizes, widths, and heel heights if that's important to you.

A friend also got dancing shoes from this awesome company HeyLady: https://www.shopheylady.com/shoes.php
They are comfy and very wedding-styled, and I was likely going to buy from them, but once I got it in my head I was going to customize my shoes I didn't look back.

Edit: i was actually inspired by Hey Lady's styles "Straptease" and "Knotty Girl"

Edited again to add: unless a company specifically states otherwise, you should probably order your street shoe size.

My standard practice shoes are the brand Very Fine its one of the cheaper brands that still have a name. My other practice shoes have all been off-brand China cheapies and they're fine.

I've never had a brand of practice shoes last any longer than another (when considering the amount of time each individual pair has been danced in). But overall my shoes started lasting quite a while after I had multiple pairs.

Honestly I'd order something with prime and free returns like these:

IANAB (I am not a ballerina), but I do have google. These ones were one of the cheapest pairs I could find (not THE cheapest, as I am sure OP bought quality). At $31 a pair, that pile of shoes in the pic is worth about $3100 USD. I also saw pairs that sell for $100 or more, so we might be looking at $10,000+ worth of shoes. Now, I am sure ballet groups can get bulk discounts, but I don't even know where to start looking for those prices.

EDIT: Fixed link.

I was just going to say this. Dance heels are designed to stay on your foot no matter what and provide you with excellent support. I was dancing in character shoes from when I was 10, but you can find prettier styles if you look for ballroom dancing shoes

Do NOT buy stilettos right off the bat, those are harder to balance in.

You might also consider starting with a boot that has a solid square heel

I recommend [Capezio] (https://smile.amazon.com/Capezio-Womens-Manhattan-Character-B-Medium/dp/B0026LYSRW/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=capezio+character+shoes&qid=1564095435&s=electronics&sr=8-4) character shoes. They're made for onstage performers and have leather soles, so I took mine to a cobbler who added rubber soles to make them more durable for street wear. I have both black and nude and they take care of all my "dress" shoe needs in all seasons while simultaneously being immensely comfortable all day.

u/lein1829 · 1 pointr/TapDancing

After doing a little googling and amazon review-reading, I went with Bloch tap shoes for my first pair of tap shoes. I’m an adult beginner and I think these shoes have been a great start. Going forward I’d probably get something other than Mary Janes.

u/moxiewedding · 6 pointsr/weddingplanning

Definitely look into ballroom shoes. They are designed to be worn and supportive for long periods of time/lots of activity, and the heels come in all sorts of different heights, typically lower than standard shoes. And you can get them in all kids of fancy designs.

These, these, or these are a couple good options.

u/jlamdalamda · 3 pointsr/wedding

You can put stick on soles on the bottom of any shoes to make them slide more easily for dancing.
