What kind of bowl are you using?


Ones with a wide flared bases are much harder to flip over (example).

...and if it's still an issue you can always fill the underside with resin or the like to make it much heavier (I know someone who used concrete).

Judging by the picture...you're going to want to order one of these It didnt take mine long to realize if he pawed at the bowl it would spill and create his own personal lake in the kitchen... about 5 times a day. :P

I had a water bottle but my dog never "got" it. At one point he chewed it, so I ended up throwing it away.

Now I have a silicone collapsible bowl that attaches to the side of the crate. He loves it and it's his preferred water bowl for some reason. Weirdo.

if it only eats the middle and then complains that the bowl is "empty" while the sides still have food, then its probably because of "whisker fatigue". Cats don't like it when their whiskers constantly bend from touching the sides of the bowl so they don't like to eat from the sides. You should look into bowls that help with this like the dr catsby whisker relief bowl or the lordly puss oblik pet bowl

Try getting a shallow bowl like this lots of cats won't eat the food around the sides of the bowl cause they dont like the feeling of their whiskers pressing against the sides. I actually feed my cats off a plastic plate and wash it between uses

One thing that has helped with my barfing cat is to get a slow feeder which makes it impossible to gulp all the food down at once.I use this one: Slow Feeder example

Lol, absolutely hilarious since it doesn't happen to me, but you really should change the dog bowl style. I don't think the pedestal style ones are the answer. Need a bowl that is wide and low to discourage tipping.

He "solved" a problem that was already solved. Whisker stress is well documented and there are plenty of shallow bowls already for this exact reason.
