Holy poop! $98 for a knife?!
Plates and such I'm doing the "fancy" disposal plates that you can get cheap... So it's fancy enough for a wedding, but I still don't have to wash dishes afterwards or pay an arm and a leg for 80 plates. (Sorry to anyone who loves the planet.) My pleasure! Its this one. It can be really difficult to find reliable kitchen tools for some reason. I dont know why so many of them seem so poorly designed :/
For transportation, you can get a reusable cupcake / cake carrier. It's more expensive, but you can use it over and over. There are tons of different sizes and options. I bought a Wilton one at Walmart in Canada for about $10.
It is annoying to store it and to carry back it home after the event though. I'd prefer getting a bunch of disposal ones too. Sorry I can't help with that :/
