This is my second most expensive. My most expensive was the one for not being fat... lol. Before I used a wishlist I just added stuff to my cart and then saved it for later. This is the oldest item I've had stashed away. Every camping trip or competitive horse ride I went on with my mom/parents always involved sitting around the fire talking before heading off to bed. Whenever I get the chance to see them (we live in different states now) we still sit around a fire. This just reminds me of good times spent with family and essentially being home...

I take this cardboard Obama with me everywhere and my dating life has really improved. I'm pretty smooth by nature, but when you are at a bar having a conversation with the President, chicks really dig you. Let me just paint you a picture. I was out in downtown Gretna at the Dragon pub when three hot girls came through the door. Needless to say, I caught their eye. One of them came up to me and asked for me phone number and whether or not she could sleep with me. I looked at her and said, "I'm sorry, I'm talking to the President of the United States right now, but I'll be with you in a minute" She was stunned by my awesomeness and waited patiently while I finished my convo. I then told her that the President of the United States, Barack Obama, thinks your friend is pretty hot. Her friend got all embarrassed and turned red. I told the waitress that Barack Obama would like two pitchers of Natty Light, pronto. We all sat and chatted for awhile when I just cut to the chase. I said the President of the United States, Barack Obama, has a big meeting in Sweden in the morning, so he's going to turn in, but he wants us to keep the party going back at my place. We all headed back to my trailer and I tucked the President of the United States, Barack Obama, in bed and went back out to talk to the ladies. I have the Cardboard Cutout Rule.

Any PC whose player can't make it to a particular session is magically polymorphed into a life-size cardboard cutout of themselves, smiling and giving a thumbs-up. This has the following effects:

• Cardboard cutouts remain with the party at all times. If the party is captured or slaughtered and the campaign (somehow) continues, the cutout will either be captured but unharmed, or will have made a Patent-Pending Cardboard Escape by turning sideways - none of the enemies can see them edge-on.
  
  
• They are effectively invincible, but totally useless. They are immune to all damage, cannot be targeted by enemies, and always pass saving throws and skill checks to avoid Harmful Stuff, but always fail attack rolls and skill checks to accomplish Useful Stuff.
  
  
• Cardboard cutouts cannot talk, take actions, or make decisions. However, if the cutout is the only character who knows a mission-critical fact, and (in the DM's judgment) would have no objections to revealing it, a cardboard speech balloon will briefly appear on the cutout that reveals that fact to the party.
  
  
• All the cutout's money and all the items in their inventory turn to cardboard along with them and no one else can borrow them. Mission-critical items may (at the DMs discretion) change back at the instant they are needed to progress the adventure.
  
  
• If the campaign is awarding XP on an individual basis, cutouts get no XP. If in this campaign the whole party is sharing the same XP total, the cutout gets the same as everyone else.
  
  
• The party also isn't obligated to give the cutout any of the treasure they find that session (although I won't stop them if they feel generous).
  
  
• Part of the magic of the cardboard transformation is that nobody in the game world thinks that any of this is weird, or bothers to comment on it.

Yes - We set up the sparkly backdrop and bought TONS of fun props at the dollar store and online. Big hits were inflatables (inflatable pickle, inflatable flamingoes), glow necklaces and LED batons, and the Mexican luchador wrestling masks. We put a big sign on an easel with our hashtag to encourage people to share their photos and videos. I rented two super bright LED lights from my photographer so that the area was really well lit for quality pics. We paid for a 2nd shooter as part of our photography package and she was basically stationed there from after dinner through the end of the contract taking pictures of guests at the station, in addition to guests taking their own pictures with their phone.

I loved the good the bad and the ugly and the Young Guns movies, and back to the future 3 if that counts, but don't call me mad dog ;)

I've seen people do a ~2' tall cardboard TARDIS to receive cards. And seen people take a garbage can (also for keeping cards) and paint it like R2-D2 for their Star Wars wedding but you could probably just as easily make it a Dalek. And there are largish TARDIS stand ups that could be fun for pictures.

Not technically a poster or Kanye related at all, but I think this would be a great addition to any dorm room
