Yeah, that's the unfortunate thing with this phone. Couldn't find any cases in stores nearby so I ended up just ordering blind. I used a Moko case for a bit previously, and it's pretty nice and easy to hold. Really grippy too since it's mostly rubber, but the flip-out stand portion on the back resulted in it kind of rocking around on my desk as it acted like a pivot point when it was sitting there. If not for that issue I would have likely stuck with it.

Ended up switching to the Speck Candy Shell (also ordered blind) and it's working great aside for that issue I solved with the grip tape. It feels pretty solid and well made too. I do wish it was a tiny bit thicker since since I'm used to the otterbox size, but it's nothing you can't get used to.

I didn't know you could remove the screen protector on the Supcase actually. If you can, then that could be worth a try since you could just snap it back on if you prefer it that way. Unless you mean cut it out, in which case I'd probably recommend trying it as-is first to see if you like it before modding it.

I switched for the note 8 to the 10+. I have to say I was worried I'd miss my note 8 it was bittersweet but I wouldn't go back in a million years. I bought a $40 set of wireless ear buds on Amazon and they work great pretty sure most are decent quality but just read the reviews. I looked into the Asus myself lol I was worried about what theyer take on phone software would be like.

As far as case I wanted all around protection so I wanted a holster to protect the screen I gambled and got the case for $12 after getting it then quality is on par with the $60 otter box I couldn't be happier.

Have fun playing with the 10+!

Used to have the same pump (700 series). Was never satisfied with the cases Medtronic sold. Below are links to the cases I used daily for casual and professional attire. They're marketed as cell phone cases, but fit the pump perfectly. They can be clipped or looped on a belt: suggest threading your belt instead of using only the clip, as the clip will wear out over 6 months or so. For bed time, I used the "athletic" zipper case sold by Medtronic.

Now on the omnipod for about a month after the Medtronic for 3+ years. Happy I went tubeless, though I miss some things about the Medtronic.

Best of luck!

I remember my dad having one for his S4 as well. The rubber around the plastic stayed intact unlike my previous phones (iPhone 4, 5s, and Droid turbo 2 and Z3v) and dust got trapped really badly around the edges of the screen. Which eventually ended up getting inside somehow.

For the value, I don't like Otterbox.
I would recommend some much cheaper options. Such as the Amazon specials like the Unicorn Beetle Pro. Or the Griffin Survivor.

As far as screen protection, I'd go with a separate protector. A wet install such as IqShield or Skinomi will be very easy to apply, and will protect your screen way better than the hard plastic films. Not to mention, if you were to tear one or rip it beyond their "self healing" capabilities, you can have then replace them for free. As they all include a lifetime replacement.

Plus, it's always nice to save a little bit of money in the process. I'll give you some links here in a sec.

If you find one, let me know.

Every holster's clip I've seen has been made of plastic.

https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Galaxy-Wallet-Design-Holder/dp/B073RWKCQ8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1518670908&sr=8-2&keywords=spigen+wallet+case+note+8

My personal favorite wallet case. Holds 2 cards, does not come with a holster or phone clip.

I used to run it with the holster from this case:
https://www.amazon.com/MoKo-Samsung-Absorbing-Protective-Kickstand/dp/B074M77J5Q/ref=sr_1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1518670963&sr=1-3&keywords=moko+note+8+case

I really like the case on this one (am using it right now), I just wish the kickstand faced the opposite direction and they made the 3.5mm port a little bigger (i carved my second copy out with a knife, really easy fix). I no longer recommend the clip that comes with this case, it's a metal pin through plastic that breaks stupidly easily. I'm only posting it here to alert you to NOT buy a plastic clip like this one, it will NOT hold up to every day use. Despite that, it was my favorite combo. Even though the spigen wasn't specifically made for that holster, it worked far better than the moko case it came with. Go figure.

There are some actual holsters that loop through your belt and are made of leather. Personally, I don't like them as you have to take your belt off if you want to take the holster off, and none of them can double as a kickstand. If you don't need a kickstand, then I would recommend one of those types of holsters. Really any of them should do. I think the spigen case I linked above and a generic belt-loop holster from amazon will work for your needs.

I found these which look promising which all have button cutouts:

For a dupe to the $40 fabric case sold by google try this: kwmobile Case for Google Pixel 4

If you are someone into a clip case here would be a good choice: Ailiber Google Pixel 4 Case with Belt Clip Holster

For an all-around simple and sleek case try this 0.03 inch one available in many colors: Anccer Colorful Series for Google Pixel 4

This one is about the same, but from the affordable yet established and trusted brand Spigen: Spigen Thin Fit Designed for Google Pixel 4 this would be my pick over the others as the brand has a solid reputation and good customer service. It also does not prohibit wireless charging.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you get one and if so what you think!

Five hours late to the party, but I wanted to say that if you get one of the belt-attachable cell phone cases (magnetic or velcro, I recommend magnetic for ease of use) like this (you can find them in local flea markets for cheap) depending on the size of your box mod you can fit it in there. I used the Alien 220w for the past 8 months and it fits in mine perfectly. I recently switched to the Tesla Punk 220w and while it's a tighter fit it holds the mod very securely. Pop that sucker on your hip or at your back and you can carry your vape with a much, much smaller chance of it accidentally firing. But still lock your mods, people.

Its very tough. I am 190lbs and have to fit into my seats which have pretty big side bolsters. The first one broke when kind of slid in the seat causing the bottom of the holdster to get caught on the edge thus pulling it apart. When I showed Encased the screenshot of what happened, they sent a new one. I have had the note 8 since February with no issues. I recommend getting the Tough armor variant since it will work with other types of cases. Actually the Tough armor is one of my favorite cases, I love the kickstand and it complements the case very nicely. Good luck in your search.

I have these two cases for my Note9 and my S10+ and really like them. I'm super safe with my phone, but I work in a design studio with heavy objects and I'm frequently on the ground getting dirty with clay and sometimes water. But at lunch I sit back and watch a movie and these kickstands at first seem weak when you unlock them to prop them up, but when they lock into place, they're the most solid kickstands I've used. And I've bought and gave away or tossed out several before using these two.

I like the tire tread pattern on this and it's the one I use for work. The treads do get full of clay on mine at times lol

This one I use at home. It's a little lighter yet just as strong I think.

Have you considered a case that comes with a belt clip? Something like this could be attached if you're creative enough, or if you need the holder to actually protect the phone a case like this might be your best option. It's a stand-alone heavy duty cover, with a holder that has a clip on the back of it.

u/caseytatumsgf · 0 pointsr/xxfitness

I've solved this problem by buying a phone case with a detachable holster clip. Sometimes people poke fun of me for having this "middle aged dad" holster- BUT- it makes working out SOOO much easier and I can just clip it on to any pair of pants! I love it.

this is the one I have.

u/dilvish-damned · 2 pointsr/EDC

What about a double holster? Might not be the look you're going for but super convenient and it frees up your pockets for more useful carry.

Alternately you could do one holster and one in your pocket....

Yes grab your your own. It’s worth it.

Also, pick up one of these pouches.

Have fun and good luck!

I've used the $20 Unicorn Beetle Sup Case for my last 3 phones. I drop things pretty regularly because I'm awful and I've never broken a phone (iphones included).

Best thing is it comes with a screen protector built in. And wireless charging does work even with the case on.
My only critique is the phone is beautiful and the case covers all that beauty.

I bought an off-brand Otterbox to replace my sagging name-brand case, and loved it even more than the original. The outter shell was a harder, firmer rubber and thinned the design just a little. I popped out the built-in screen (Just like the Otterbox) and used a tempered glass screen protector. Confident enough to remove insurance.

Also, it's unbranded!

> What is the best/good case to get for the LG V20?

The screen is the most vulnerable and expensive to replace part:

If the phone happens to fall flat on the screen - screen facing the concrete - the screen will burst.

See the end of this video:

  • Android Authority LG V20 Drop Test - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=or7rwO7wuSU (which supports other claims on how sturdy the phone actually is)

So whatever you choose, make sure the front of the case has an edge to prevent the screen from touching the surface. If you also want to use a screen protector, make sure it does not interfere with the case. I prefer thin & non-glass myself.

The camera glass for the back cameras can also break. But shattering can also happen without dropping and seems to be a manufacturing batch-related issue. Unlike the front screen+digitizer, the camera glass can easily and cheaply be replaced.

    Also: if you intend to:

  • swap batteries
  • use charging cradles
  • use a gimbal

make sure the case is easy and quick to take off. Some need tricky steps to take off (like an Evocel case that I still use for my spare H990DS AME), which can be a pain in such situations.

    Also:

  • Read the 2-star and 3-star reviews, they are usually the most helpful
  • Buy some different ones, so you can alternate for different occasions, e.g. dinner party vs adventure trip. Cases for the V20 are dirt cheap these days anyways.
u/Sherlocked_ · 1 pointr/apple

Here's the case I use and I love it. I don't use the holster part but yea, the case is awesome. It's thin and has a durable kick stand. I've had it for about 6 months and use the kick stand all the time and it hasn't broke. Also, it's only 13 dollars on Amazon

u/SkyeCrowe · -12 pointsr/funny

I think what they mean is that if you're going to spend $700 on a smartphone, it shouldn't really bother you to spend an extra $20 on a case and something to keep it attached to a belt or inside of a purse. Anything that isn't your pocket. I have a galaxy and I know not to put that thing in my pocket, and even still I have a big thick case that has helped it survive many falls.

*edit
I should also note that I am a lady and even if I wanted to put it into my pocket, it wouldn't fit.
