I'd say that going for a (mostly) black outfit maybe your best shot at looking professional while also being able to mix in your personal style.

Regarding shirts,this black floaty top will certainly look smart when paired with something like a simple pencil skirt (which is petite too! and elasticated so it'll be comfortable to move around in)

I love this, this, or this (if you're in the market to spend $500 on a dress, I don't know your life). Finish up with a few tops and cardigans and you should be good to go.

Joggers and linen pants!! I was a skinny-jeans-only person for years but finally branched out into some looser pants last summer and I absolutely love them.
