I don't travel a whole lot, but I do take my makeup with me to work almost everyday. So I do prefer travel friendly products that are easy for me to take anywhere.

MAKEUP

I pretty much bring me with stuff I know works for me, versatile, and are multi-taskers. My favorites, that I almost always take are:

  • Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette in "Smokey Eye Beauty": I bring this and it cuts down on so many other products I have to bring. The eye shadows are also versatile for day and night looks. Also having black hair myself, I can use the matte black shade for my brows.
  • Heimish Artless Glow Base: this is a primer and sunscreen in one. Looks great on it's own and it looks stunning under makeup.
  • Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in "Pillow Talk": I swear I am not sponsored lol I just love her stuff, but anyways, this shade is pretty much a MLBB. You can definitely go with a cheaper brand to find a MLBB, but I recommend bringing a liner like this. It is great on it's own topped with a gloss or underneath any lipstick. Cannot go wrong with this.
  • I would also like to say in general, I try to find travel size versions of stuff I know I love. This is also a great way to try out stuff you don't want to commit to buying the full size.

    TOOLS

In the same bag as my makeup, I will always bring an eyelash curler. This is a necessity for me. Currently I do bring a regular one, but I am aware that travel size eyelash curlers exist (I just haven't found one yet that I like). I also toss two alligator clips in my bag to hold my hair back. I tend to skip the beauty sponge because it takes up a bit of room and also the hassle of having to wet it, it is just too much for me lol. So I exclusively stick to brushes for travel. In general, I carry something for foundation, concealer, powder, blush, highlight, contour, 2 eye blending brushes, and a liner brush. I carry quite a few, but I'll only mention the shining stars:

  • Morphe M536: recent discovery and favorite. I love this for foundation. I have a small face so it works fine for me, but it may be too small for most people.
  • It Cosmetics #103: I loved this for concealer. My brush is kinda falling apart, so I may get a new brush (possibly Morphe cause it is cheaper lmao).
  • Besame Cosmetics Rouge Brush: kinda a random discovery, but I really like this for powder. Sets the face beautifully.

    HOW I PACK

So far with any real traveling I have done (in which I had to check my luggage...rip), I found my makeup holds up really well in those Glossier pink pouches. What I love about them is they are bubble wrapped and TSA approved. Unfortunately, I think you can only get this if you order something from them and the one I specifically like is the bigger pouch they offer (with body products or buying a shit ton of products). As for brushes, I found a sturdy brush roll on Amazon and it has held up pretty well, and doubles as a brush holder when I am doing my makeup.

Nail polish can be hard since everyone has different preferences, but you could always get a fun topcoat she could add to her collection (something with different colored flecks, glitter, holo, etc). Or you could get her a display for the nail polish she has?

You can also go to a drug store and just pick a color that reminds you of her! I personally like Sallie Hansen Insta Dri because I don’t have the patience for my nails to dry, but Essie, OPI, and China Glaze are all slightly nicer brands.

But I think no matter what you decide to get her, she’ll be excited about it! It’s very sweet that you’ve noticed something she enjoys and want to show your affection by supporting it 😊

I have this topcoat and think it’s pretty fun:

https://www.amazon.com/Northern-Lights-Silver-Hologram-Drying/dp/B000PZA1MC/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?crid=38KPAJQPIMLBR&keywords=holo+topcoat+nail+polish&qid=1555300084&s=gateway&sprefix=holo+topcoat&sr=8-6

Not sure if this would work with your budget, but there’s this shelf:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01M0EM74V/ref=sspa_mw_detail_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Best of luck! It’ll be great!

Hello all, in a previous post made yesterday, I had replied with a picture of a drawer of my Alex 9 unit and received a few of inquiries about how I made my drawer organizers. So, I decided to try my best to tell you how I did it. I apologize I wasn't able to make a complete step by step with a ton of photos, but this process was done over a year ago, and I wasn't really planning on doing it again since I finished!

Materials Needed:

Ruler

X-acto Knife

-I would recommend some extra blades as well-

--Foam Board (the more the merrier)--

Flathead Pins

--Contact Paper--

-The blades become dull fairly quickly, I think I used about four during the process-

--I was able to get a piece for $.99 at Michael’s on sale

---I decided to wrap each piece with contact paper because it makes it very easy to clean. In my actual vanity, I used fabric and it has gotten dirty and damaged and I 100% don't recommend it--

Template Materials:

Copy Paper or Grid Paper

Ruler

Actual makeup products

Steps:

  1. I first made templates for each drawer. I found using grid paper to design the setup made it very easy, each block was marked as an inch. Using the actual product dimensions I was easily able to map out what could possibly go in each location. It’s nice to know that the height of a standard sheet of copy paper is the width of the drawers! Also, to note, I made sure to give a little space on each side of the product to give it some wiggle room. (The dimension of each drawer is 11.5"x20.5")

  2. I then used normal copy paper to make a full-size map of each drawer. Then using that I transferred it onto the foam board. Measure twice and cut once.

  3. Using a straight edge, I was able to make cuts of each segment. It's easiest to first cut the width of the product and then afterwards cut the height of each compartment making sure they all have a uniform width and height.

  4. After each piece has been cut, I went ahead and wrapped every piece with white contact paper. Contact paper has a sticky back that easily allows it to adhere. Also, the back has its own grid so it was easy!

  5. Once each piece was ready to go ahead and assemble, I made a new template. This one was to make a uniform depth of each compartment (my smaller compacts all had about 3/4 of an inch between each and larger had about 1 inch) A B. This also made it very easy to ensure I had a perfect right angle.

  6. I decided to use flathead pins to connect everything together. I've seen previous YouTube tutorials that used hot glue, but that can be messy and difficult to work with. Also, if you ever need to redo something, you don't destroy what you had done. I used two pins on each side which really anchors the part. I will note, the tips of my index fingers went numb from doing this so much, but the feeling came back…eventually

  7. Enjoy!

    Some other things to note:

In my palette drawer, I created L shaped panels to allow for the palette to be better seen

I also purchased from byAlegory a liquid lipstick and lipstick organizers to build around

In my lipstick drawer, I purchased little glass beads to allow for the products to stand up better

My paper towel drawer has a holder which I created using a wooden dowel and clay

Also, I grabbed plastic liquid dispensers to easily get to my various liquids

Managed to slice my finger open making little lids of acrylic to hold all my disposable paper products

*Most of my other acrylic pieces have been purchased from MUJI

I hope you enjoyed my ~teal battlestation~, if you have any other questions about it feel free to ask. And I'm sorry if it was unclear at all. And, I'm 100% aware I have a stupid amount of makeup that I've gotten over the years as a makeup artist, Sephora employee, and a true Make Up Addict.
u/ImCrashBandicute · 1 pointr/zines

Hey! Good luck with the fair, hopefully it goes well and you have tons of fun.

I would print 10-30 copies of the zines depending on how many you expect to trade afterwards. (Usually you can trade with the other people who are tabling, or even some guests will bring zines to trade.)

Usually I do 10 of each zine I'm bringing, but I have a lot of different zines that I table (I think I brought like 20 different zines last time, I made a bunch of my mini zines "micro" so they would fit without the table being too crowded). So, depending on how many different zines you are bringing and how many trades you would like to do 10-30 copies per zine.

As for what to charge it really depends on the quality & size of the zine. I sold my mini zines (8 page book from 1 sheet of paper) for $1, but I saw a few people charging $2-$3 and they sold. If it's a bigger zine you can easily charge up to $5-$10. You need to take into account the price of printing and the tabling fee for the fair. You can also do deals like 1 for $2, 3 for $5. Or create little $5-$10 mystery packs. Hope this helps! I don't know your specific zine details so I'm trying to keep it general.

As for a display, the cheapest thing I found was these little rack things ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0719P1TVT/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_lbqhDbXGRDFJJ ) on Amazon. They have different options. But I found people are less likely to look at the shelf if you have items on the table. So put all of your "best sellers" front & center on the table. If you don't know which are the best sellers keep an eye out for what people keep picking up and you can rearrange your table to have them in a better spot.

Also, let people know they can pick up everything to look through if they want! Some people are too shy to just assume they can.

u/sunsh1neee · 10 pointsr/makeuporganization
  • Declutter what you can! I see my makeup organization as a display of my collection, and having things in there that I no longer use/like was a bit of a bummer for me. Of course, organization can be a way of making yourself use overlooked products, but for me, organization went hand in hand with my makeup rehab and forced me to really think about what I actually use and what I want to keep.

  • Office supplies make the best organizers. I particularly love the stuff I've picked up at target and ikea - very affordable, cute, and functional. Mugs and mason jars are also great for storing things like liquid lipstick and eyeliner.

  • For storing things like blushes and highlighters, this is the best purchase I've made (I keep lipsticks in there too): link

  • I keep my everyday "base" products all in one place so I can grab them easily and finish a look without having to scramble around looking through random drawers/compartments.

  • Store palettes like books - this helps keep them in my sight (so my palettes don't get neglected), as opposed to something like stacking them horizontally in a drawer.
u/tb3648 · 2 pointsr/CFBOffTopic

A nail polish or two. I personally like sally hansen complete manicure polishes but a lot of people like opi. Butters has some super nice ones but more expensive.

A birchbox subscription could be fun- you pay $10 a month and fill out a thing on what you're skin tone and all that is and what you prefer and they send you 5-6 pretty decent samples a month of makeup, face stuff, perfumes, etc.

At sephora they have a bunch of mini sized items too that make good stocking stuffers.

I like Elf's bronzer blush duo

Also if she doesn't have one and has room for it on her bathroom counter or somewhere around there, I found getting a acruylic (or something similar) makeup organizer helps save time versus a makeup bag. Something like this

u/twentyfun · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

I did take a look at the brushes you linked! I have no experience with those myself, but I would still be a little wary of buying more brushes as her gift. I highly recommend the Real Techniques brushes so many others have suggested and I also like the IT Cosmetics brushes - you can find both at Ulta. Maybe get her a gift card for Ulta/Sephora/Morphe for brushes so she can pick them out herself? It would be hard to guess exactly which brushes she would pick out for herself and since she's already gone and purchased a set for herself you won't make that purchase redundant!

As far as other makeup 'gear' goes, the beauty blender u/Balea48 recommended is a good one! They're a staple in a lot of people's makeup bags for good reason. Some things I've also looked into getting for myself recently are cleaning mats like this one from Amazon and this really cool drying rack for makeup brushes from Amazon. I don't know how she stores her makeup permanently, but I'm also a big fan of acrylic or plastic cosmetic organizers like this.

I thought this might be helpful for others who are tight on space. Welcome to my 46 squarefoot closet.
This is everything I used for the vanity, but feel free to ask about other stuff in the pictures.

  • IKEA Storjorm Mirror with built-in light- This mirror has been great. It does need to wired directly into an electrical box; I think there's a workaround for that but I'm not sure.

  • BESTÅ Shelf unit with glass door - two of these bolted to the wall. Super easy to put together and put on the wall. They've been sturdy even when I forget to not lean on it. I do wish I had a glass topper to protect the top shelf from spills. These work particularly well because of their 7 7/8" depth. The unit only sticks out maybe an inch from the door jamb and was the shallowest thing I could find.

  • Acrylic Organizers from Amazon:
    Lipstick,
    Tri cup organizer,
    3 Drawers,
    Multi level palette,
    Nail polish

I find the lipstick organizer to be kind of narrow. KVD bullets don't fit in it, bummer.
u/megangigilyn · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I picked a few I thought you'd really enjoy!

This is a bright pink makeup organizer. I thought it really suited you!

Here are some pink makeup brushes to go into your organizer.

This is a pink nail art set that comes with tape and glitter! It looks really good quality :D

These are nail art flowers! They're super cute and PINK!

Finally, this is a super cute pink zebra phone case!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRLIE!

Hmmm, so I don't have an actual vanity and I am a HUGE scavenger/recycler. I basically use things that I already have and make them work for me. Here are some pics so you can better see the use of boxes and lids for organization.

I also use prescription bottles to hold all brushes, mascaras, etc. because I have A TON laying around. For the extremely brief period of time that I used a beauty sponge, I kept it in a prescription bottle cap or a metal cap from a fancy juice bottle.

The 2 boxes I've repurposed to store different make up items. One was a large mascara sampler box that is sturdy and has a nice magnetic closure so I decorated it using packaging to make a collage.

If you're not looking to buy anything new for storage/organization I highly recommend thinking creatively! Perhaps lids from jars (I use the cookie tin as a trash can and the lid as a mixing palette), shoeboxes could work, or with the upcoming holidays any boxes you may receive. Do you have baskets laying around or glasses/bakeware that are unused?

Not everyone wishes to go my route when it comes to organization so there are specific organizers like this one from Amazon and many you can find at TJ Maxx/Marshall's/Home Goods that are inexpensive. Always remember at those stores, things can be turned into storage or organizers! Particularly kitchen items like spice displays/racks or fridge organizers.

And depending on how you'd like to store your nail polish, wall displays are also nice and somewhat space saving. Here is an example from Amazon, but I believe Ikea and other stores have single shelves that you can purchase for much less and just install multiples of.

I love make up storage and organization (despite my set up being pretty wonky) so I apologize for the huge essay!!

u/BodenVape · 2 pointsr/electronic_cigarette

For a little bit of a back story, growing up I was intrigued by my father's pipe collection, which were nicely displayed in a hutch with a glass door that he built.

This isn't the final form, but for now I've been using these type of items:

Amazon shelf display

Amazon - Cosmetic Organizer # 1

Amazon COsmetic Organizer # 2

I typically use the small square holes for clearos, RDAs, 15ml juice. the other areas get filled up with whatever fits. I would say they are ok for a small collection, and for the price I think they pretty good. Fasttech also has many options for clear acrylic displays as well.

As for the bulk of the juice, I tend to keep it tucked away inside of a drawer as well, but have found using smaller Tupperware type containers useful for helping keep it organized.

u/friedchicken7115 · 3 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

This looks great!! I would definitely recommend some more storage options, if she has a ton of makeup it can get cluttered in the drawers really quick.

Here’s a nice one with separate compartments for lipstick and here’s a must-buy, it spins and holds brushes and looks super sleek. Also maybe look into a brush cleaner if she doesn’t have one already!

I recommend this mirror, it has super close up mirrors on the left and there’s a nice nook at the base that’s perfect for holding tweezers, cuticle scissors, and other small items. Also lights!!

If she doesn’t have one already, I also recommend a holder for cotton swabs and pads. Even if she uses makeup wipes, it’s still a nice thing to have around :)

Not sure if she’s big into jewelry but jewelry holders make amazing decoration as well.

u/riotkitty · 9 pointsr/muacjdiscussion

So I recently had a beach vacation and with the humidity I wanted to keep it light, neutral and waterproof. This is what I took:

  • Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard
  • Glossier Cloud Paint in Dawn - this is looks great in the sunlight on my now NC30 skin
  • Glossier Play Nite Shine in Platinum Rose
  • Nars Light Reflecting Powder Compact
  • Urban Decay Blackout Single Eyeshadow to sketch out and and set eyeliner
  • Essence Waterproof Eyeliner Pen - I've tried the expensive stuff and this is still the best
  • Covergirl Eyeshadow Primer
  • Maybelline Tattoo Eyeshadow pot in Creamy Beige - I think it got discontinued, though. I would now take Revlon's Colorstay Cream Eyeshadow in Cappuccino
  • Maybelline Full n Soft Waterproof Mascara
  • Anastasia Brow Wiz in Chocolate
  • Glossier Boy Brow in Brown
  • Nyx Dewy Finish Setting Spray
  • Real Techniques Setting Brush - Game changer for blending out concealer
  • Real Techniques Multi-purpose brush - for power and blush
  • The Real Techniques Dome Eyeshadow Brush that comes in the the Essentials kit - the best I've found for blending out cream eyeshadow
  • Anastasia Matte Lipstick in Hollywood - Good everyday peachy nude

It sounds like a lot but I fit the brushes and long tube items in this brush carrying case which is great for keep you organized at the hotel, and the rest of the items in a glossier pink bag. I had all my skin care in travel bottles in another glossier bag, and my body and haircare in travel bottles in a 3rd glossier bag.

Couple things ...

  1. Sorry about the lighting in some of the images (my editing skills would have made it even worse. trust me.

  2. I haven't decided on a mirror. Do they make table top ones with natural light light bulbs, is that a thing?

  3. I got the 2nd and 3rd acrylic organizers here. $33.00 each.

  4. The first tower of acrylic organizers I actually purchased here. $42.00 If you think the pictures look exactly the same and went with another brand for $5 cheaper thinking the drawers would be the same size, you'd be wrong lol. They stack together perfectly (all I really cared about). The only difference is one single drawer in the 1st tower happens to be slightly taller, maybe a half inch, compared to the rest (the one with my Milani foundations in it). I think the 5th or 6th photo in shows a pic of it.

  5. Sitting on top of the towers are individual lipstick/lipgloss oganizers, the first and third of which I got [here] (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E00X3VO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) (lipstick organizers). It was $13 for two :) The second/middle one I got here (lipgloss organizers). $25.00 for two (one not shown).

... BUT if I had to do it over again, I'd go to the container store. They have the cheapest I could find anywhere (Target, Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond, eBay, etc.) at 48 slots for 12 bucks (at 12", they'll fit perfectly on top the drawers as well).

The pallette organizer I got here. The three larger slots are all different sizes, the biggest one hold three Morphe pallettes if that helps anyone!

All in all,the acryclic drawers are holding:

    -3 face primers

    -15 foundations

    -3 setting powders

    -2 settings sprays

    -3 concealers

-2 eyeliners (I need recommendations! Status: URGENT)

-2 mascaras (I wear eyelash extensions, so mascara isn't really on my list :))

    -4 brow products

    -27 compacts

-254 lip products (72 in the holders on top)

    To complete the collections:

-16 palettes -cheek and eyes (pallette organizer)

    -36 lip liners (glass jar)

I'm not sure about over there, but you can get some clear acrylic dividers from the cheap shops here. Pretty sure you can get them from Amazon. Like this but it's one single flat plate. I hope that makes sense lol.

u/welshcorgi · 2 pointsr/MakeupAddiction

I got some small, black office desk organizers for Wal-mart to organize my makeup with. I think they were only $6 a piece. They've got 3 drawers, and the top has an additional compartment with a lid. Some of your palettes won't fit in them (I spy the Lorac Pro!), but they're great for all of the small-medium sized products. There's also some cheap, great options on Amazon if you look around. I own this carousel from Amazon. It's really sturdy, and a little bit bigger than you'd expect. I use it for foundations, primers, lipsticks, and miscellaneous products. The brush holder in the middle is nice too.

bottles

bottle organization

for when you have 30 or more bottles steeping fits the unicorn bottles well or your typical 10 - 13 ml dropper bottles of concentrates.

also nice for holding the bottles when mixing (i mix by volume still)

i would suggest cap sweet strawberry and tfa strawberry ripe, 4% of each is an nice starting point for strawberry in many recipes. tfa brings the tangy realness cap brings the sweet. imo better than any stand alone strawberry (haven't tried them all yet just enough to be very happy with this)

u/alyssaxmoore · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

I actually just got this one from amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MFX4B3C/ref=s9_hps_bw_g194_i3

With tax and everything, it came to $53. It is a little smaller than I thought it'd be, but it still fits all my makeup & the drawers are pretty deep. My makeup finalllly looks nice and organized now! I really like it :)

u/PM_ME_UR_UFO_PICS · 2 pointsr/organization

I have a nail polish shelf like this on my wall. they come in all kinds of sizes and materials (wood, metal, plastic, etc) and can be custom built. this is good for not only displaying them like art, but also it helps you be able to see everything you have. I used to keep them in photo boxes sorted by colours and I found that I never used most of them because I couldn't see the bottles when they were stood upright.

I use a train case for all the tools/accessories. you could also try looking at arts and craft supply stuff because they often have all sorts of containers that can be useful for nail stuff (hobbies like jewelry making, sewing, scrapbooking, etc require lots of tiny pieces so the containers have little compartments for everything)

(I also recommend majorly decluttering if you haven't already. I used to have probably around 300 bottles of polish but one person obviously can't use that many, even if you did your nails every single day it would take years to get the moneys worth for every colour. just keep what you use, donate or sell the rest. so now I just keep what fits on the acrylic wall shelf)

Okay so maybe 6 months ago my aunt got a cold that would not go away. She went into the doctors and after many tests she was diagnosed with cancer and given about 6 months. We all had been hoping she'd make it past christmas, but we got word yesterday she's about to pass. Things have been getting worse and worse but now she's unconscious, non-responsive and her vitals are dropping. We thought she'd pass yesterday, but last we heard she was still just out, her vitals are still really low, but she's kind of hanging on. I didn't get to see her before because it was sudden and we've kind of been trying to give her husband and kids time with her, ya know. I know she's been in a crazy amount of pain, so I almost hope she passes sooner rather than later so she's finally at peace...

Sudden change of topic and on to something less depressing! Since husband isn't buying me a christmas gift (and lets be honest, no one else is either) I got myself this nail polish holder, and this one too. Yay for me. Super happy to move out of boxes and into pretty displays.

Hope everyone is doing well. <3

I love my Muji drawers. I have the two of the large 2-drawer ones, and they stack beautifully. The drawers feel luxe -- a heavy weight acrylic -- and glide very nicely. For the sake of comparison, I also have this organizer. The acrylic is a bit thinner, the edges aren't as smooth, and the drawers don't glide as easily. But, the price point is better, it holds a boatload of stuff, and it's Prime eligible. I access my acrylic organizers daily for my makeup staples vs. for added storage, so I appreciate the quality/user experience of Muji drawers. I'd definitely repurchase them if I need more storage in the future.

I replied to another comment on here but here's a few more ideas:
This thing is cute and kind of compact. Not sure if big enough for all of them though.
This one has 41 spaces and this one has 48. Need more than that? Get that plus this super cute circular one with 28 holes.
And the mother of all lipstick holders....72 Holes. Kinda big at 10"x6" but if you've got room for it, this seems like it could work!

ByAllegory has compact and single eyeshadow holders and they’ve come so in handy! They’re on amazon and have their own website as well. They also have lipgloss organizers which are perfect for liquid lipsticks and lipglosses that would fall over in regular lipstick organizers.
I also recommend getting your lipstick organizers at the container store because they’re cheaper they’re only $6. They also have little single containers they’re perfect for storing things like concealers, mascaras, eyeliners - I have 3 of the small ones for concealers, mascaras, nail polish (i have only 4 nail polishes) and then 1 larger one for lip liners cause they tend to be longer in length.

u/thosemoonsongs · 2 pointsr/makeuporganization

This desk from Wayfair is actually the one I purchased, however in espresso. I'm pretty pleased with it. I have everything in easy reach and still have a ton of "work space" to get ready.

I also have these for my nail polishes. Be aware that the sides are open though, so if you have cats you probably want it out of their reach. I learned that lesson the hard way. 🙄 It is really hard to see what color polishes you have when you have them stored away, so if you have space for something like this I highly recommend it if she's into nail polish. It is so satisfying to be able to view all of your collection at once. :)

u/brianpi · 1 pointr/minipainting

I used to use one of these racks.

It was fairly easy to move from one room (storage) to the other (my work desk) when I was ready to paint. Now I'm starting to build a dedicated workbench for painting, and after some consideration, am going with these racks. They probably wouldn't work the best for storage, but are great if you have the dedicated space to paint in one area.

u/ce54r · 1 pointr/electronic_cigarette

Amazon has similar items at a better price, in some cases. This one, and this one, and this other one are the best I've found so far, but I bet there are even better ones!

EDIT: Just to add this last one, it's even named KLOUD, haha.

u/BlameReligion · 3 pointsr/DIY_eJuice

These are going to be your friend when it comes to organizing your flavors. You may only need 1 for a while, but if you pursue this further you will thank me later. As for storage solutions for larger stuff (VG/PG, bottles, etc), this is what I use personally. It's cheap and is great for basic organization of your larger containers.

u/Au_Ag_CuSn · 2 pointsr/RedditLaqueristas

Sure! Got it on Amazon, came super fast: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0EM74V/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It can fit 8 OPI bottles across and more if the bottles are the square top (like Avon). I like that you can see all the bottles in the back since they're up higher.

u/whenthereisfire · 1 pointr/MakeupAddiction

I have a MALM Ikea desk that I purchased solely for school/regular desk stuff. Since then I've become more invested in makeup and have transformed it into a half vanity half regular desk hybrid. I fit a lot of makeup (like palettes, primers, and large highlighters and bronzers) in drawer organizers in the top drawer of the desk and use the large bottom drawer to store school stuff. On top of the desk I have two Ikee acrylic containers from Amazon here and here that I use for eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipstick, foundation, blush, concealer, and basically everything else. I also have a couple Sonia Kashuk brush holders on top of my desk as well, along with a lighted makeup mirror. I also hung a larger mirror on the wall in front of the desk.

It's a pretty big desk so I can fit a lot on it and it works well for multi-tasking with all of my school stuff.

u/Bwardrop · 1 pointr/DIY_eJuice

I bought this from Amazon. It works perfect for me. Here is a pic of it on my wall loaded up. Note that I just put the larger bottles on top as they won't fit in small channels. The rows hold up to 30 ml bottles. Great solution for me.

u/HermioneGee · 1 pointr/makeuporganization

I actually had a big corner desk for my collection before I got my Alex drawers and those small plastic drawers from Walmart were a lifesaver! However since you are interested in going with the acrylic drawers, I would highly recommend them. They display your makeup beautifully. I got my large acrylic units from Amazon. They hold so much! I store my palettes in drawers but If you want them on display I like the idea of a wall mount or maybe a mail organizer.

damn.. i see this thinking sweet a cheap easy way to store my 50 bottles for easy display when mixing and the 30 im ordering.. nope -.-
i currently use [link 1] which i got for under $20 and use only use the top 4 levels which holds 49 15ml bottles, 2 30 ml bottles, 2 60ml bottles of vg, a box of 3/4in circle stickers [for labeling for me and coworkers so nothing fancy] and a few spare bottles for decoration with the entire bottom two levels open for pipettes, steeps etc.. im about to upgrade to the [link2] just for kicks so ik it fits more :).. only downside i have for the one im using now is it doesnt hold my 100ml of vg/pg blend which is why vg is in 60ml im a high vg guy so it doesnt bother me. just gota balence it or lay on its side for moving the rack from its storage spot.. i to like to take advantage of the empty space to store attys in the same area lol

This looks so nice! I don’t have much space in my bathroom, so I bought this. A few things don’t fit on it, like my Cetaphil pump cleanser and AmLactin, but it holds everything else include my makeup brushes and meds. It has a place for everything and I love that!

u/overthemountain · 2 pointsr/minipainting

Hmm. I use this rack meant for nail polish. I'd have to count to see how many bottles I'm actually able to fit in there. The Vallejo rack looks like it holds 52 or so, plus spaces for larger bottles in the back. I want to say this nail polish rack holds 70+. It works pretty well, too.

u/wwaxwork · 3 pointsr/Warhammer40k

I have a nail polish rack I use to keep my paints on I use the larger model but there are others designs including wall mounted. If I am careful it lifts easily in & out of a cupboard onto my painting table, if I ever bother to clean up the area. I have just bought another one yet to be assembled to hold my ever expanding paint collection. I have a row for each colour, all major brands of paint fit fine.

I use a paintbrush roll (check out art supply stores) to store my brushes and an old glass jar to stand them in when I am painting and a couple of old make up cases that zip up to store the many tools. The roll & cases all live in a small plastic box that fits next to the paint racks on my shelf, you know if I were to actually put them away.

PS First time trying to do a link. Sorry if it messes up.

u/geb999 · 2 pointsr/DIY_eJuice

thanks. the $11 Amazon price was still cheaper than what I saw on ebay. I'm a prime member so I get free shipping. Amazon got me with an impulse buy too. A item "suggested for me" was some sort of two piece make up organizer. I think it would be perfect to hold all my building gear and wire etc. The top piece I'll use for individual mixes - I'll look up what I need for the juices I'm going to mix that day and put them in the top rack and bring them up into the house. I have little kids in the house so I keep all my vape related stuff in the garage - it's an attached garage so I don't have to go outside for anything. I'm regulated to vaping in the garage as well. here's the item: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BCOFYF8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I know what you mean about the tough plastic bottles you can't squeeze - vape wild sells their juices in those bottles - they suck. you can break your fingers trying to squeeze out juice.

u/SiameseGunKiss · 1 pointr/RedditLaqueristas

I recently purchased this rack from amazon and the shipping was very reasonable and it arrived quickly. It mounted quickly and held almost all of my collection, although I am in need of a second rack already haha. I would definitely recommend it.

u/lordxi · 1 pointr/minipainting

Lots of battlestations have the laser cut MDF paint racks that look like stadium tiers. A quick google turned up this nail polish rack on walmart's site. I've got a desk facing the wall so I use one like these but made from aluminium scraps from where I was working.

edit: Before I got the racks I used to keep all my paints in one of these drawer stacks. It worked great while I only used GW paints.

I previously used these nail polish wall racks. There are also table racks and rotating racks.

My collection has exploded beyond what can be reasonably displayed on a wall or a desk, so now I use four Ikea Helmers. Many ladies also use Michael's 3-drawer craft cubes, which have come to be known as Melmers.

The racks are obviously great for displaying your polishes, but they lack space for additional pieces and nail art tools. However you decide to store your polishes, make sure they are standing upright. I hope this helps! :)

u/ceairaraptor · 2 pointsr/RandomActsOfPolish

I have a couple of these wall racks. They're pretty durable and I've never had an issue with the racks falling, even while filled to capacity. I just like how presentable they are and how easy it is to find the polish I'm looking for.

u/Route66_LANparty · 1 pointr/Warhammer

My partner and I finally bit the bullet and got enough wall mount racks for our (non-air) GW paints. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0JT8J8/)

We've got them organized into:

  • Rack for 3rd party and GW Texture basing.
  • Rack for Bases and Metallics.
  • Rack for Layers and Edges.
  • Rack for Contrast, Shades, and Drys.
  • Desk rack with GW and Vallejo Air paints in another room.

We went back and forth on mixing the bases and drys in with the layers and edges so all the colors would be next to each other. Giving a better idea of the gradients and hues between types. In the end we separated them out by type.

Sorry for the long link. These are great for 10ml bottles and nothing else. Also, you can find them for less than half the price listed here ($8-something) from China based sellers on Amazon, but (predictably) they will take awhile to get to you. Quality seems to be the same as US sellers.

u/panxzz · 1 pointr/DIY_eJuice

Yeah I mix by weight, I can usually knock a few out really quickly if I already have all the flavors set aside. I just need something better than a big box to store all the flavors in. Are you talking about something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Multi-Level-Premium-Quality-Organizer-Collection/dp/B00FPOOJL2

u/To0nMaN · 3 pointsr/DIY_eJuice

How about this bottle stand? Or a nail polish display.

I have a smaller version of the nail polish display and it works great but i wish i had gotten the larger one as my collection of flavors has grown quickly. Recently i was looking at wooden medicine cabinets with glass doors, just waiting for the one i want to go on sale at Menards.

u/Foment_life · 3 pointsr/electronic_cigarette

Some folks recommend things like nail polish organizers.

I use a foam filled hardshell case from harbor freight for mod organization (I have too many mods) and a cheap plastic toolbox to organize atties (in the tool tray up top) and building supplies below. If you drill little holes for the 510s all your atties can stand up neatly in the tool tray.

u/Nylerak · 2 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I'm lazy, so I have a lot of beauty hacks to make this kind of stuff much quicker. For instance:

  1. Use dry shampoo the night before so it absorbs overnight.
  2. Use a nail buffer when you have no time for polish. Your nails will at least look shiny.
  3. Find a bb cream you like to combine lotion+sunscreen+foundation in one step.
  4. Use a washed mascara wand with hairspray to smooth flyaways.
  5. Vaseline Rosy Lips gives you color and moisture. You can use it on cheeks and lips.
  6. Nude lipstick, easy to apply, less mistakes.
  7. (Having a makeup organizer so I don't have to look for anything)[https://www.amazon.com/Unique-Home-Acrylic-Cosmetic-Organizer/dp/B01BCOFYF8/ref=sr_1_2_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1484244977&sr=8-2&keywords=makeup+organizer]
  8. brow mascara is the easiest thing ever and keeps eyebrows polished all day!

I went on Amazon and searched "fingernail polish rack".

The one I bought was a wall mounted rack I put above my desk. It holds like 100 paints and I think I spent $20 on the rack. And if I needed to I could move the rack over on the wall and mount two side by side.

But when you search for nail polish racks on Amazon you'll get desk mounted and wall mounted results.

It might technically be a nail polish display rack. I came across the recommendation somewhere else on reddit and these guys did a video on them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oreOa_rIUj0

Bought my fiance a smaller one of these for christmas and a light bulb went off in my head. So I purchased this one for all my flavor bottles

This basic wall rack is good for anyone with under 100 polishes. Assuming she's okay with having them out in the open. Though I hung mine in my walk in closet so it's on display but No one ever sees it.
