I work at a bike shop so I'm sorry in advance for the wall of text.

I would recommend going into a local bike shop and talking to them. There are so many different options for saddles, seriously.

Also what you might want to consider is getting someone to check your bike fit. Your saddle might be in the incorrect position causing you to lean more on your bits. Also if you have your seat height to high it will cause you to wiggle over your bits.

You could also get a liner short that you can wear under your clothes while commuting and change when you get to work (something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Pearl-Izumi-Womens-Shorts-Medium/dp/B0091TFJCA/ref=sr_1_2?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1426884412&sr=1-2&keywords=womens+bike+short+liner)

Hope this helps!

There are ones that wick away moisture so they stay cool. Something like this. Look into Pearl Izume shorts. I own a couple of pairs and I highly recommend them. They aren't usually cheap but don't skimp on quality. The few extra $s will save your butt (pun intended).

Give one of these a try, my fellow super-sweater. Sweat evaporates pretty quickly off of it, and the little flip-out sweatband on the inside front stops a lot of that from getting in my eyes. I could probably fill a kiddie pool with how much I sweat from spring to fall, but this thing's made everything much nicer to deal with.

Worst superhero ever.

Oh cool! I will totally be checking out CC creams!

Also, I just felt my credit card jump out of my wallet. I swear I didn't touch it.

I think you're a dude, but I'm gonna post this in case any ladies are reading this thread too. I got these last winter and haven't looked back. For the money, they are my single favorite pair of winter tights.

I’m loving these Baleaf ones I bought last winter.

There are also bike underwear with a built in chamois . It’s kind of like wearing a diaper but good for longer rides.

u/gimper1056 · 2 pointsr/UltimateFrisbee

There gloves that you can get for ultimate. It depends on you entirely. I don’t wear them at all because I lose the sense for how I hold the disc.

I got these for my son and he loved them.

I have these gloves They are really good and waterproof. They run a size small. I live in MO. Perfect for temps from 25-40.
If you are wearing cleats I like shoe covers so you do not have to wear crazy socks to kill the cold. I have gone through several pair. I like the bontrager water proof boots. they are light weight and water proof.
Lastly if you do not want boots go to an outdoor store and get fleece shoe liners. That helps a ton and is a cheap fix. Problem is on longer rides they can get sweaty.
To give you an idea I ride about 20 miles each way to work 3 days a week.

I am an instructor and swear by these very affordable padded leggings. The padding is stitched seamlessly into the fabric so there is less of a diapery effect. Plus they’re comfortable! BALEAF Women's Bike Pants 3D... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0752FNRJK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Slightly over-budget at £35 is a pair of shorts from dhb. You could always combine them with a pair of leg warmers for full coverage (ones from decathlon are very cheap)

Another option are padded shorts, which are designed to be worn with trousers/pants over the top. I found them considerably more comfortable than anything unpadded, but I later made the leap to bib shorts anyway

u/Embolisms · 12 pointsr/xxfitness

Thanks! The no underwear alone would be a game changer lol. Have you tried cycling leggings? It's kind of cold out, and I still prefer leggings at the gym since I work out after class. Can you still go undies-free in something like https://www.amazon.com/XGC-Womens-Cycling-Trousers-Legging/dp/B07H1PM5NL/ or https://www.amazon.com/Baleaf-Womens-Compression-Cycling-Waistband/dp/B0752CTJJX/? Are the seams a bad sign, or does it not matter because of the cushioning?

u/NoMoreCookies · 1 pointr/running

You must be me in the dark.

In colder weather (basically 32 and below), I have swapped out my Xinglet for the Proviz nightrider jacket, which is like in-your-face reflective. Doesn't really breathe well though, so only for cold weather.

u/dvito · 2 pointsr/bicycling

Just as a further tip if you think you might pick up some shorts, thought I'd let you know you dont' have to go with the traditional bike shorts (I know some people get awkward wearing the tights around). They make pairs that have the tights underneath then a loose layer over that often has pockets for a cell phone/keys.

I own something similar to these personally: http://www.amazon.com/Pearl-Izumi-Womens-Canyon-Medium/dp/B004ELBZ7S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323701138&sr=8-1

The noodly leg feeling is fun! Eventually you start pushing out some serious miles without even noticing :D

u/iCarriedaWarermelon · 1 pointr/pelotoncycle

Bought some nice shorts and use them for rides 30 min and longer. TBH, my “sits bones” didn’t hurt after the first few rides. I needed to work on holding my core more securely and taking breaks out of the saddle to make sure I didn’t get sore.
