They're not that far between. And frankly, instead of the one you're pointing to, I would go for one of these instead(though there's no variety there, which seems to be what you're looking for...)
That $100 one you pointed to is kinda alright, but really, IMO the G2's and the Black pearls are really poor smokes. Like I couldn't finish the Pearls I've had and the G2 I smoked was finished only because it was going to be my last smoke for a week or two, so I wanted to savor every last moment. I definitely wouldn't go back.
If I was you, I would get a Bally 100-ct humidor or even this smaller Capri and then get a nice sampler from Famous-Smoke (who I find to have much better samplers) (or get one of CI's nicer samplers cheaper on cigarbid.com
Something like one of the Famous Smoke Best of Samplers. From that bunch, I think the Best of Dominican, the Best of Medium Bodied or the Best of Full Bodied selections are pretty damn great. (Also check out the Best of Camaroon or Best of Habano samplers... good stuff in there. However, I have been enjoying this 2010 Awards Sampler from cigar.com that has a wide selection of mild to full, small to big smokes. That might actually be a great starting place, though I really would recommend that, if you go with that one, you append it with a couple singles of Arturo Fuente Short Stories and a couple Padron 2000's in both natural and maduro.
Hope that helps. Typically, though, those humi+cigar deals are filled with house-brand filler smokes and it's not actually as good a deal as it seems. Your call.

a toast!
There's this emergency candle. It has three wicks! How else would you make toast, if not over an open flame? And everyone knows how much more pleasant it is to study by candlelight. Found here
Riddle the Second
a broom?
On the arts-and-crafts list there lies a "bookbinding brush," to use when making notebooks! Not only does it look like a miniature broom, but every student needs a notebook to take notes in! Found here
Riddle the Third
a hat!
On "Chris's List," There is a lovely bundt cake pan. This lovely bundt cake pan could serve as a beautiful hat! As long as you don't mind looking like you've been caught in a whirlwind! And, it always serves to have something sweet to bribe your teachers with. ;) Found here
Riddle the Fourth
a book!
I have a whole wishlist full of books. The one I'd like most right now is The Hot Sauce Cookbook. It's about how to make hot sauce! Keeping a student entertained during holidays is the best way to avoid chaos at school! Found here
Riddle the Fifth
a trunk!
In the arts-and-crafts list, there is a beautiful wooden box. It's just the right size for a few novels. And just the right size to hide under those school books so no one finds those ahem special books. Found here
For Bonus Points
a cape!
On my "Arts and Crafts" list, I have an unfinished lighthouse. Just like the ones on CAPE Cod! A cape is necessary for those brief naps in the library. Better than a sleep mask! Found here
Mischief Managed!
Happy 50th Birthday Momma Bear!
you could find a pretty purple box and fill it with 50 pieces of paper ( cut out hearts, shapes, whatever you think she would like) with words written on them as to why you love her, what makes her a great mom, a great friend, a great person. (Examples: You have a healing smile, You’re always there when I need you, You’re beautiful “ Be sure to include a note explaining what the box is. She will treasure it.❤️
Below is a link to a pretty wooden carved box I saw on Amazon as an idea☺️
DharmaObjects Large Hand Carved Tree of Life Wooden Box Keepsake Storage Multi Utility https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XTPD7XL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_1RlSDbJQ02B4Z
The button is most needed. It will stop my need for wine by stopping all the pathetic students from their incessant whining. I know this will work to end the insanity that is us first years adjusting to our plight.
I know the supply list says a broom but I am clearly too efficient a student to not take advantage of modern technology. For riding I already have a Dyson vacuum but for floors I need this to add to its efficacy. Please allow this deviation from the list and understand it is most needed to add functionality to my primary mode of transport.
For easier recognition I need to acquire a hat for my familiar. Because I believe in formality, I feel a top hat would be appropriate attire for the feast we shall partake in. He will be the most well adorned familiar in attendance.
I will need something to carry all of my class materials. The pages of a book found throughout this bag will do nothing more than inspire but the added functionality of carrying all my belongings is most needed.
This small elephant with a trunk will be of utmost necessity. It will store those much needed small potion ingredients. The decorative nature of this box will add to my labs perfection.
No school experience is complete without a little celebration here and there. With these caped glasses, I will enjoy with super style. These will make me popular, which is a thing I struggle with, so I know they will support my quest to be the most liked student in the school!
The ones I haven't tested yet get put into a pretty little jewelry box on my dresser because I like to pick samples to test at random, so I don't really want them to be sorted. The jewelry box has a few dividers so I sort sprays from oils, etc, but that's about it. After testing they move to my destash box or my mini chest of drawers.
Re: the mini chest of drawers, I have something kinda like this (I bought mine on clearance at Target forever ago but this is close) and I devote each drawer to a different company. I use one drawer for "miscellaneous" as well, for companies I don't really buy from but I may have gotten a sample I like in a swap or whatever.
(This method might not work for everyone; I vastly prefer full sizes so I don't have or keep that many decants/samples, relatively speaking. Also, this won't work if you really want to see your samples. It took me a while to settle on, though, and I'm pretty happy with it, so I thought I'd share in case it'd be helpful for anyone.)
For stationery and things like manuals etc.. I'd get some pretty paper boxes (they are recyclable after all, yay!).

I like using baskets made of natural fibers. I have some medium-sized ones I use for electronic cords, some small lidded ones I use for supplies in the bathroom and for our cat stuff (like leash, hairbrush, etc...). H&M often has affordable ones, especially if you shop their sale. I'm not sure where you're located but Flying Tiger (US) or just Tiger in Europe currently has some cute little ones for $3-5 each.

I would either use a plastic bin (if looking on the cheap) or a nice metal box for your medicine cabinet stuff. I have this which is pretty large but I like that it looks pretty on the shelf so I don't have to hide it. Yamakazi home makes some nice caddies.
This is a pretty good humidor for only around $40 with shipping.
As far as Cutters i'd suggest staying away from the cheap ones (you'll be constantly replacing them), and picking up a nice Xikar, I'm partial to the Xikar V-Cut
As for cigars, I'd suggest checking out some of the samplers on sites like Smallbatchcigars.com, cheaphumidors.com, cigar.com, cigarsinternational.com and even cigarbid.com, It may seem a bit daunting at first, but many sites will have a flavor profile and strength indication for the cigar, as well as a blurb about what to expect and customer reviews. One thing to be mindful of is over-inflated prices on the Ghurka line, you'll see sites advertising them as 90% off MSRP! but still like $60 a box, most people here will be more than happy to share their hate for Gurkha with you, and to be honest there are only a handful of good cigars from them imo.
Decorate already! These books ends would look wonderful and go well with the decor you already brought in. I think that This little guy would look simply adorable keeping an eye on your computer desk. I love black cats and books so if you do too this trinket box might work out well. Could we request a GC? I am saving for a vaccum otherwise surprise me, I wish you the best of luck finding some things for your desk/office area.
Oh no. Yeah, get all those random bots of paper in a binder! I do the same as you and just sometimes google a vegan version of whatever I fancy. You could keep your recipes on cue cards and keep them in this sort of box.
I would suggest if you know you are going to have a busy or tiring week, to make something big at the weekend that will last for a few days. I do this quite a lot. My favourite is chilli because you can do so much stuff with it. I make a big pot full and put it in to plastic tubs and keep them in the fridge. Anther thing is lasagne, you can get quite a few meals out of that. Soup is good too.
This is my favourite website for recipes - Post Punk Kitchen - but mainly for cakes! Haha. I love their books too - Veganomicon is awesome. The chickpea cutlet recipe in there is great. You can find most of the recipes from the books online.
That's a big box. I hope you're not putting anything heavy in something that size. Depending on where you are, moving companies will sell you boxes and deliver them. They are expensive but they'll be selling you ones they're happy to use themselves.
As a mover, while you can get free boxes in supermarkets but they're not well looked after and once they deform or dent they will take very little punishment before they split or crush. Also, since I guess you'll be paying someone to move your stuff, you're better off having boxes with a consistent size- it massively cuts the time it takes to load a truck.
Do not go anywhere near the boxes sold by Ikea or argos or any of the other ones with the raw cardboard finish- tape doesn't stick to them which makes them a fucking nightmare and a prime reason for stuff getting broken or lost on your move. The Ikea ones are particularly shit. Basically, as long as the cardboard has printing on the outside you're laughing. Also, don't use duct tape. It doesn't stick to any boxes. Use actual packing tape.
Something like this is better. Smoother finish and better tape sticking-ness.
If you have more questions PM me or pop over to /r/movingday. It's pretty american but every mover wishes people had just asked beforehand and loves to help.
I'm still early in the process of KonMari and new to the Reddit, but while it might not spark joy in the squealy sense of the word, I believe this piece sparks a sentimental joy in you, which is why you so loathe to part with it. I recommend you find a pretty keepsake box that will fix the piece and put the box somewhere you would like to display. There are multiple keepsake boxes for sale on Amazon (my favorite is this one bearing an EE Cummings quote but I don't know the size of the piece you have - https://smile.amazon.com/Cummings-Keepsake-Christmas-Anniversary-Heirloom/dp/B016YSPH5O/ref=sr_1_8?s=furniture&ie=UTF8&qid=1550158378&sr=1-8&keywords=keepsake+box). You'll know the piece is inside the box, but the box is more appropriate for display in your space.

Best part - the glass top. You get to stare at your beautiful, sexy, glorious sticks!
When you go to career development for your initial appointment they should order you retirement certificates. There will be one from the president and one from either the cmsgtaf or the csaf. You should also get a retirement pin. Your have to call them and go for an appointment or they won't start anything, which surprised me. Also, make sure your ask for this stuff. It's suppose to be automatic but I had to go back and ask them. After those are ordered go buy a shadow box. I found a nice one on Amazon for about $300. Fill that up with coins, patches, your ribbon rack, and wherever else you can think of. Name tapes and rank for your ABU fleece look nice if they are in good shape. When you get down to the wire just schedule a going away with your shop. If you do all that you shouldn't be missing out on much.
Edit: I bought this and it's really nice. E-7 Air Force Master Sergeant (MSgt) Shadow Box/Retirement Display https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078WWMJQN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Wdc7Bb251WAXG

Humidor + 10 cigars for $30 (This does not seem to be the same humidor, but I ordered one and I'll see just how different they are.) This one is much better quality than the first one!
This is my first humidor, and I was impressed by the quality when it arrived. I would have expected something of this quality to be too rich for my blood.
In following the advice of a reviewer, I'm currently calibrating the hygrometer with salt water in a bag, and I'll charge it up with a shot glass of water tonight!
Edit: And...my hygrometer is broken. It wasn't calibrated correctly, and the needle ceased to move (broke?) when I tried to adjust it. I've contacted the vendor to see if they'll send me a single hygrometer.
Edit2: I'm returning it to Amazon due to the broken hygrometer and buying the $30 + 10 cigars instead. Hopefully I have better luck with that one.

President Abraham Lincoln AKA Grandfather Hipster. His costume would look something like this. One of his weapons for his outfit ties in with his special power, his briefcase. You see, his briefcase is one of a kind. It can clarify all the truths of right from wrong to even the most stubborn-minded people. How you may ask? Well, you see, whenever there is a scenario in which moral or physical wrong doings are occurring, Grandfather Hipster pulls out whatever is necessary to shed light on the truth from his briefcase and change the mind of the evil-doers. His other weapon is the power of music, although, being the patriarch of all things hipster naturally he will not stray from the path of the vinyl.
Bridget's First Contest. Thanks! I had fun doing this. Surprise me!
I tried really hard to use proper grammar and punctuation, feel free to grade me! Also, is your curriculum by any chance changing to Amplify Learning? If so, I worked with them on the design end this summer and would love to hear feedback on it!
I've actually got mine in an art storage box like this, I picked mine up at Hobby Lobby and used a coupon so it ended up being like $10 or less. I got it as a cheaper alternative to a train case and it's worked pretty well for me, I like it because I can close it up and move it and it keeps everything pretty safe.
I bought a black 12”x12” shadow box off amazon and made this for my trip to Acadia last fall.
Acadia
My inspiration came from shadow boxes I found on Google but I couldn’t figure out how to use photoshop to do the words like in this picture and gave up and just made what I have above. I’ll probably try to redo it at some point because it looks super plain but I’m just not that creative so I’m waiting to steal someone else’s better idea haha.
Inspiration for the shadow boxes
There’s also this scratch off National Parks map I really want to get.
Map
If you don’t want 50 single shadow boxes you can find thick ones off amazon where you can just toss in the maps and pins together. They have ones without words and they also sell these and bigger ones at Michaels Craft Stores.
Amazon shadow box
another idea would be to do a giant US map and then cut out each National park in the shape of the state it’s in and fill in the map as you go.
EDIT: added the idea
they always say get the biggest humidor you can afford, that being said, amazon has some nice ones starting at around 30 bucks.
also cheaphumidors.com (reputable) has imperfect humidor sections, which has had great feedback. very small imperfections for a fairly good discount.
http://www.cheaphumidors.com/c_imperfect-humidors.html
i got mine (presidente dos by CC) at ebay for 50 dollars. love it.
reason you should get the biggest one you can afford because,
1 youll buy more than you think you will having storage.
2 should not underfill or overfill, too many cigars and they wont breathe, too little and the environment wont be ideal, can fluctuate.
ps. toss the green stuff inside the humidifer, replace with beads (NOT getl) cheaphumidors again has them, also heartfeltindustries.
pps analog hygrometers are not very good, tend not to be accurate most of the time and prolly need constant adjusting. recommend getting humidor with a digital one or eventually buying one along the line avg cost 15-20usd
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002TOK352/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This one is my first and I love it. I have put a drymistat tube in and also a digital hygrometer. Stays around 68% humidity now. Just make sure to follow the directions with the humidor in seasoning it correctly and to calibrate your hygrometer. Simple salt with water in a bag (you can find specific instructions elsewhere) is good enough.
drymistat - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004QCAGM0/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
digital hygrometer - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000H6CZQE/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I realize those put it above 30 bucks... But you can get the digital hygrometer and drymistat later. Just calibrate your analog hygrometer and use either distilled water or some type of "cigar juice" in the humidifier disc and it should work fine. There are a few ways to keep the humidity levels right.

I personally bought this one, right now I'm seasoning it, but reviews say it's good and from all the ones I looked at this one seemed the best for the price.
If it has to be bought from amazon, my friend and I each have this one of these right now, performs quite well. However, if you can, I would actually try out cigarbid for humidors, they usually have all the standard humidors for a great price if you can pull the bid off.
Thanks! I don't really feel comfortable saying what I like about cigars yet, because I would most likely be guessing or talking out of my ass. I tend to enjoy some scotch with them, I don't know if that is any help. I have looked into some sort of storage device because I tend to smoke 1-2 on the weekends rather than mid week. [This] (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002TOK352/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_details) was recommended in another thread I read and also looked into seasoning them correctly and keeping the humidity at a good %.
How about cute dog slippers

Or something cute lil box for keepsakes like this

Well in case you or any one else is wondering this is what it is. Its good if you need to add something extra to an amazon order for free shipping.
Sure!
The arcade buttons came with all the relevant wiring and the usb cable.
I got a coupon that I used on the tea box, which is why it was less than $30 total for me, but it still ain't an expensive box. I also drilled all the button holes into the bottom of the box, because the bottom is made of particle board and much less prone to splintering when cut/drilled.
(I already had this from making my trash stick). The printed design is one I saw on Pinterest--not my own. It's really meant for a marquee but I adapted the sizing of the image for this. I might suggest others use a paper with a glossy finish, or design their sticker on redbubble for a higher quality finish. That would probably be more convenient, since the box is longer than a standard piece of printer paper so I had to add more sticker to the ends (that's the brown borders along the right and left side). You could also just not screw up with ugly holes like me and then not do a sticker at all. =P
That's it. =)
This is a pretty good deal. I recommend this one because I myself bought a small humidor. Soon enough, I ran out of room. I ended up buying another 150 count humidor and I may need another by the end of the year.
LOVE this. Took only 24 hrs to season, and I didn't wipe it down. Would buy again, and recommend.

I've had 2 humidors (first one gave up the ghost to an empty glass dropped by a drunk person)
I just bought this one on Amazon, and am really happy with it. Something comparable would've cost me like $100 at my local smoke shop
Everyone's giving you advice about shrugging it off and going the tuppedor route, but I think the thing you're missing here is that you bought this thing and if it happened in transit then you should call them about getting a new one or at least a refund. I have this one and while its certainly nothing amazing, it's a humidor and its working just fine. I struggled with the rh at first because I simply didn't understand it but now it's fine and looks pretty classy....the only downside is that I discovered cbid, so now I have like 50 sticks coming in...for my "50"-count humidor....which is already filled with about 30.
First world problems...amirite?
That’s weird my appointment was in the morning around 9:15 at the Tampa location and I was paid and all squared away by ten.
What number do you call? I’m gonna do the same and call on Tuesday. Hopefully we get pushed through early!
Me and you are in the same boat, I’m on probation and haven’t smoked in two plus years so I’m dying to get pushed through. I’ve been rebuying everything, just got a grinder and an awesome weed box with a kief catcher.

I also bought a glass top bc I like the looks, I did quite a bit of research before purchasing. Found one that came with a sealer "technology". I really like it, I don't have any issues at all holding steady numbers no matter how full or empty it is. Purchased on Amazon for about $75, for anyone interested:

I use tea bag organizers. I have to pad the bottom for some lipsticks but it has worked really well for me and I like the way it looks.
Thanks. Also does this seem like a good humidor?

So I've been lurking here for a while, and recently purchased this humidor. Two things I was wondering about:
Any help would be appreciated.
I'm so sorry to hear that 😢 A few things that helped us when we had to put our Dobby to sleep we're, making paw print ink cards as well as a clay mold impression for our tree, spent the morning of doing amazing bucket list items, and I have a small memorial box that's ment for ashes but we buried her so I keep her collar and tags in it. If you like these add them to a list and I can get them for you Friday if you'd like(or another one)

Wow! I'm seasoning it with a shot glass filled with distilled water. The instructions say do it for a day. Will my cigars last in a ziplock if I Gould do it for 3 days? This is the humidor I have for reference:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002TOK352/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1409109274&sr=8-1&pi=SX200_QL40
I bought mine from amazon and it has been amazing. I had to make a second divider for it but that's just a preference thing. Here's a link to the one I bought(I think its just the first one that comes up when you search 'humidor'): This is the one
It holds humidity well and only costs $30. I don't know what size you're looking for, but this is a great one
So are these voids in the top corners and the minor case of giggling glass gonna be resolved by seasoning the humidor?
Link for box: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002TOK35M/ref=oh_details_o01_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks! I'll check through those.
I was looking at this one until you said no glass tops.
Cool, I might pick some up, thank you. My humidor was also for Christmas:

I'm going to pick up some aquarium sealant for the glass. Maybe I'll put 2-69%'s in there if it leaks at all.
I did basically the same thing except with a bamboo tea box from amazon
It is a little bit smaller but I can fit my palms on it for when I want to rest, which is all I really need the size for:

Go on cbid, you can get a deal. Or hit amazon thats what I got for my first humidor, it works well. Don't take advantage of the nice people on this sub.
Ya it’s the best. So I roll a lot of blunts and joints and I even break up my bud for bowls. Well In the past I would break my bud up on anything(magazine, video game, table) and would lose a lot of kief just on the break up. The kief box is a little box you break your bud up on, it has a screen so all the kief you would typically lose on the surface you break it up on , is caught. I never realized how much I was losing until I got it. After breaking up maybe 3 blunts, I’ll have like 2 bowls of kief. It’s legit. Highly recommend it

This is the one I have.
Old humidor?
You mean the one you bought off Amazon for $27?
http://www.amazon.com/Quality-Importers-Desktop-Humidor-Capri-Glasstop/dp/B002TOK352/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1449361104&sr=8-1&keywords=Humidor
I only knew because I have the same one ;)
That humidor on the left, is that this one? How do you like it?
I just saw something cool on amazon - Willow Tree Grandmother, sculpted hand-painted keepsake box.
Well, sort of, but a humidifier is generally used to humidify a whole room or something, and a humidor is specifically for keeping and/or aging cigars. Here's a good example of one. They can vary in size though. That's more on the small end, but I've seen whole rooms rigged as humidors.
Here's some decent ones, but they are a bit overpriced compared to non Amazon prices.
I edited my price. My scumbag brain twisted the 5 and 7. Still is under $150 rounding up. If I look for those cigars on atlantic, cigar.com and famous smoke or any site you get a reddit discount, easy to shave the price down. You can certainly get that humidor for next to nothing on amazon.
Amazon, and order these. 20 quid for 5, and believe me that's a lot of box. They fold in and out of shape, are incredibly sturdy, no tape necessary, and are 100% reusable, got them for my last move and I'll be using the same ones for my next move. If you like, I could unfold one and take a scaled picture. The pictures of the woman holding them on the ad are completely inaccurate, they're much bigger in reality.
I purchased this and outgrew it in less than a year:

The tupperdor suggestion is probably good. If you get a shit ton of tupperware, then you buy a huge cooler.
Just ordered this yesterday as I had some amazon gift cards lying around. Same company, but I got one of the other style options.

Will let you know how it turns out
For instance, would this be a decent purchase? http://www.amazon.com/Quality-Importers-Desktop-Humidor-Capri-Glasstop/dp/B002TOK352/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
I have this humidor- https://www.amazon.com/Quality-Importers-Desktop-Humidor-Capri-Glasstop/dp/B002TOK352/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1486606699&sr=8-3&keywords=humidor and the only reason I have the oasis is I found it for $10.
For the lazy.
You could aways buy a sifter
https://www.amazon.com/RYOT-Walnut-Wood-Sifting-Box/dp/B00E6BVTHW
There's this, you could also do this one.
Not the best box, does what I needed. but you have to be careful when drilling through it. I had broke part of it in-between 2 buttons
I got one identical to this one. It looks nice for sure, however I find it seriously leaks contrary to the “sureseal” technology. From some of the reviews people written, some people suspect the leak is due to the hydrometer not being sealed properly. I’d buy the used one if I were to re-buy this product.

That’s what I’m planning to do. I’m going to build a kit with a Pi, 4 way joystick, 6 buttons and a spinner using this box: Lipper International 8188 Bamboo Wood Tea Box with 8 Compartments, 12-3/8" x 7-3/8" x 3-3/5" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000MM79X2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_6UrWBbE06DAW9
Someone in the comments posted pictures of their own fight stick build too.
