Oh goodness. Here. I teach preschool, these are great. You can also get regular baby wipes in similar flatpacks.

They reseal easily and last ages unopened. They're probably also handy for you guys after dealing with the grodier aspects of your jobs, and do a remarkable job removing paint/glitter/fuzz/coffee stains. You should also invest in a Tide pen

Good luck, all.

  1. If you are concerned about weight gain and want to continue the night time feeding, at least wipe out the mouth after feedings. Spiffies may be a great option for you. They are sweetened with xylitol, which can not be metabolized by s. mutans and actually shows reduction of bacteria with consistent use. Breastmilk itself is not necessarily bad for teeth. With proper oral hygiene you should be able to continue to feed and keep the cavities at bay. This article is very good.

  2. Start brushing 2x daily with a regular kids fluoride toothpaste. Really any of them will be fine. Just use a scrape of the toothpaste on the brush. This will give him the topical fluoride without allowing him to ingest it.

  3. Personally, I'm not very comfortable with moderate sedation in the office without an anesthesiologist. In residency we do rotations in anesthesia and learn to intubate and start IVs, but it is hardly a habit that we practice. It seems to be more risk than it is worth. The clinic I am in does oral sedation with a drug called Midazolam (Versed). It is a mild sedation, and has been fairly effective while still being very safe.

But that is just me. Other providers may have much more experience with it, and may be much more comfortable with it. Just don't agree to anything YOU are not comfortable with. Make sure all your questions are answered and all your concerns are addressed before allowing any type of sedation or other treatment. Most kids can be treated without sedatives or GA.

As far as certification goes, sedation is still a bit of a mess. Up until THIS YEAR you didn't need any type of training or certification to use sedatives in Hawaii. Some states still don't. Each state has its own rules and regulations regarding sedation. THIS WEBSITE will let you know what the certification requirements are for your state.

I use cloth wipes. Plain cotton ones are better than flannel because flannel tends to be too linty imo—at least until they've been washed like a thousand times. Most of the time, we use just plain water. This is the wipe solution we'd use when he was really little and his bum would get irritated more easily—it is soap-free. I got these wipes [they say flannel, but they're not like the thick flannel that others are—they're like single ply cotton]. They aren't in stock anymore, but these ones are similar for a similar price. We got about 45 of them, and then we also have about 20 of the thicker more what I'd consider flannel to be [the linty ones] wipes.

If you have soft cotton fabric because you're crafty or if you have receiving blankets that are 100% cotton, you can make your own wipes by cutting them to size [usually about 6" squares is a decent size] with pinking sheers or by overlocking or serging the edges so they don't fray. I made about half of kiddo's receiving blankets into wipes. They're also useful as hankies :)

Soluble fiber might help (oats, bananas, psyllium husk), but reducing your insoluble fiber intake (raw veggies) might also help. The former acts as a kind of glue to keep it all together so you have fewer bowel movements, but the latter is just more bulk passing through and can cause more frequent bowel movements.

Also, this may sound weird, but try to 'hold it' so that you have fewer bowel movements, and at regular times (e.g. in the morning when you wake up, in the afternoon after lunch or whatever). Your body will adapt if you keep a regular (so to speak) schedule.

Finally, for temporary relief, use wipes instead of TP. These are good and non-irritating: https://www.amazon.com/Seventh-Generation-Clear-Wipes-count/dp/B000C7QYN8 Note that they should not be flushed.

you may need to have two - olive for clean clothes and black for wet clothes - just saying.

another item i recommend for your diaper bag:

https://www.amazon.com/Buti-pods-Travel-Dispenser-Resealable-Refillable/dp/B01AAYKILQ?th=1

you can just re-fill it from the big packs at home. no need to buy "travel size" - i suggest honest company wipes or waterwipes from amazon - great for adults too, and wiping hands and dining tables when eating out.

u/momosploot · 1 pointr/RandomKindness

I was surprised to see those items so expensive and I think I found some that was for less, hope these kinks works:

Luvs Ultra Leakguards Disposble Diapers, Size 2, 228 Count, ONE Month Supply https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F6G42R9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_h5iMBbASRSSFQ

Pampers Sensitive Water-Based Baby Diaper Wipes, 9 Pop-Top Travel Packs - Hypoallergenic and Unscented - 504 Count https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C3H4ZTY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_b7iMBbKWAG5YB

If you can replace those wishlist items I’d be happy to help with some diapers for our little one?

Baby mittens? I bought a 12 pack on Amazon that are awesome. Babies will scratch the shit out of themselves, you and anything else that comes near them.

Paper plates. Every time.

oxo wipes dispenser there's a special kind of rage you'll discover when trying to pull out one wipe and you get 5. At 3am it's enough to make you throw the wipes across the room.

this dimmable touch light because at 3 am when one or both babies poop, the nightlight isn't enough and a regular lamp is too bright.

u/issue9mm · 1 pointr/quityourbullshit

I mean, I don't, but you could carry those little packs of wet wipes. Something like this would do nicely.

I'd bet that lots and lots of mothers have them on hand.

What works for me:

  • Vitamin A + D gel caps before I go to sleep. This is based on the fact that Accutane, the acne miracle drug is essentially a mega-dose of Vitamin A. I also take a multivitamin (gel cap) before bed. When I wake up, my skin is noticeably improved overnight.

  • Big salad every day with very little dressing. I go for butter lettuce, the highest in Vitamin A.

  • ZERO fried foods, ZERO oily foods, ZERO grilled foods. Includes chips, popcorn, many cookies (with too much butter), sauteed foods, anything greasy. If you eat ANY fried foods, just throw in the towel and accept acne.

  • Don't over-wash with soap (dries out skin), don't under-exfoliate or over-exfoliate.

  • Carry the thickest baby wipes and wipe your face off one half-hour after each meal. Wipe your face off after any dirty job or workout.

  • If you must eat chocolate, which is loaded with cocoa butter (oil), try dark chocolate, the darker the better.

TL;DR Vitamin A, eliminate oil & grease from diet, eat folic acid (salads) every day, keep face clean several times a day but not too much soap.

I always have some of these compressed wipes with- http://www.amazon.com/Green-Sprouts-Disposable-Compressed-Wipes/dp/B004FW3QYG Well, not this brand but you get the idea. I am not a fan of baby wipes, but these work really well.

If I am sweaty, I use one of these and then reapply deodorant and am on my way. I would probably wear a different shirt, depending on how sweaty I planned on getting. :)

Amazon is a life savers for new parents - you are overestimating IHMO.

Diapers - At most 10 / day, probably 8 / day. Will go down when baby sleeps through the night, and after 1 year it will be 5 / day. $20 for 84 - subscribe and save @ amazon or about $30 / 2 weeks.
Diaper cream - lasts 6+ months. $8 on amazon.
Baby wipes - 1000 will last 6+ months. $25.
Baby shampoo, cream, oil. Buy one and use it for 6+ months.

Baby formula - ready to feed is expensive, use baby formula powder and mix it yourself.
Baby clothes - get hand-me-downs / buy used. A baby's wardrobe will change every 3 - 6 months so the clothes don't really get heavily used.

I've been using these guys which are alcohol and antibacterial free. Very gentle, if heavy.

u/TheSharkAndMrFritz · 3 pointsr/clothdiaps

I use these solution cubes and you can get a [starter kit] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01090QDDI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_nzp8AbDWPT3AS) that comes with a spray bottle. It's really been perfect for us.

Try this Bebesup Korean brand baby wipe:

https://www.amazon.com/Bebesup-Signature-Premium-Embossing-Sensitive/dp/B0797H9JGH

It works better than 7th gen or any one out there. Its unscented, alcohol free and suppose to help on baby rash. Only issue is slightly more expensive because its imported.

Aah, Baby wipes ++++

I forgot how many of those I went through. We had the "grown up" version , boogie wipes. Not that you want to order online now, but I'm sure you can find something like it locally.

u/sometimesineedhelp · 1 pointr/collapse

google "family cloth" and after you're done gagging at the thought, realize that cloth diapering is perfectly hygienic when done correctly...

here's a link to a starter pack from amazon

Rainboots
because my feet always get soaked by the rain and I have to keep washing them every week. My feet are wet 24/7. wipes are very useful for my body

u/autieab · 1 pointr/ABDL

Wipes. Either Huggies Natural Care or Pampers Baby Fresh. Both choices are about that changing time smell rather than anything else.

Powder. Johnson's Baby Powder. Accept no substitutes :P

I really don't bother with rash cream. Unless you've got really sensitive skin or stay in the same diaper way too long, adult skin is much hardier than baby skin so rashes shouldn't be too much of a problem. Also, the best treatment for a rash if you do get one is to not wear a diaper for a day or so - a choice ABDLs have the luxury of being able to make...

*link fix...

I really need some diapers and wipes for my one year old twins. We're getting low and we go through them so fast!
