I don’t know what your dress looks like, but there are definitely “won’t break the bank” ways to add unique touches to your dress to make it stand out from your sisters.

  • Satin or rhinestone belt
  • A long elaborate veil (maybe even floor or even cathedral length?)
  • A fascinatior for all day or to change into just for the reception. (I wore a feather one to my wedding and loved it, definitely a fun and unique way to spice up your outfit)
  • Shoes dyed in your main wedding color
  • Super sparkly shoes
  • Unique jewelry (bold drop earrings are always a great statement- you can find gorgeous CZ earrings for less than $50)
  • Hem your dress to tea length (if possible with the cut and style of your dress). It’s a super cute and unique look
  • Ombré/dip dye the bottom hem of your dress
  • Wear a colored petticoat
  • Colorful/patterned underskirt that peaks out when you walk (or you can angle the front hem of your dress to a high-low hem so it is always seen)

The thing about damaged hair is usually once we stop using the silicone laden shampoo/conditioner we're looking at our actual hair. It's damaged sometimes. There are things we can do, like the ACV rinse to help, and oils and such but I think eventually it's probably better to just start cutting off the damaged parts or as much as we can until it's all fantastic healthy hair. I spent a lot of time trying to fix my damaged ends... I wanted my hair long and I didn't want to cut off that last 3 inches. So much time and money. Ugh. Anyway in the meantime, I'm thinking the ACV rinse sounds good, closing the hair shaft etc and some light oils. I like shampoo bars though, I dont know about chagrin valley as I'm an ACV Bar gal but the idea is the same, I presume. Natural ingredients that help your scalp...no sulfates and chemicals etc. If you decide you don't like the chagrin soap check out the shampoo bar I get on Amazon. I like it because it does a great job and I don't have to do the rinse afterwards cuz the acv is in it already. One less thing. :-)

u/friendlyforreal · 4 pointsr/SebDerm

The best one I've found is the ACV bar from Wildlands. All natural, vegan product that soothes the scalp. It took me about two weeks to adjust to the shampoo, but my itchies are gone and my hair looks great too. I just love it. I get it on Amazon here. Good luck!

u/BeckysMamma · 5 pointsr/30PlusSkinCare

This one isn't specifically for the eye area but I really like how it goes on my skin. I put it on right after I use bakuchiol. I follow up with a primer. Even after using all this my makeup goes on perfectly. The Purito sunscreen (PURITO Centella Green Level Safe Sun SPF50+ PA++++,Broad Spectrum UVA1,2,UVB/oil-free suncream/non-nano system, Acne-prone skin) feels good but isn't moisturizing but the bakuchiol is moisturizing enough so it works out. I highly recommend it!

u/blueberry96 · 5 pointsr/Naturalhair

Best advice I can give you is start using the ACV bar. It's a solid shampoo bar that is just amazing. Vegan product with no sulfates, no preservatives, just lots of apple cider vinegar, neem, shea butter, castor, etc. And this shampoo bar lathers like crazy! The smell is a little weird, but it after rinsing it smells great. It took about a week to adjust to using a shampoo bar, but my dandruff & itch are pretty much gone. :-)

u/rachel32socal · 3 pointsr/NoPoo

Well, I was using a conditioner, but with this shampoo bar I've stopped needing conditioner (I think it's the shea butter that helps with that). My hair comes out with good volume & squeaky clean (think it's the ACV that's built in to this stuff). So right now I just shampoo when necessary, then hit it with some product. GL!

I've been using https://www.amazon.com/Bakuchiol-Natural-Retinol-Alternative-Moisturizer/dp/B07Q25XXZL/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=bakuchiol&qid=1565642276&s=gateway&sr=8-3 that I get on Amazon and its been great on my skin. I got it about a month ago and its really working on my freckles and generally brightening my skin. I've tried retinoids in the past and it always made me break out in a rash. Like immediately. This stuff just feels so good on the skin and really moisturizes. No dryness. It seems to last a long time cuz I've been using it every morning after I wash my face and there's still like half a bottle. I'm not sure how it works except its supposed to support cellular turnover etc. So glad I discovered it since I really don't like using retinoids. I haven't had any purging.

I think someone from UK said that shipping is free when two bars are ordered. Gotta love free shipping. :-)

u/Mirthless92 · 4 pointsr/tressless

Not sure if these specialty shampoos actually work, but my thoughts are that it's at least worth trying. What can I lose using a good shampoo, right? Tried regenepure, didn't love it. So right now I'm using the ACV bar which was recommended. Lathers up nice, my scalp feels great and it's got all the things I'm supposed to be using. I still use Niz twice a week, but this on my off-days.

u/Estrella37 · 5 pointsr/NaturalBeauty

If your dermatologist wants you to take a break from retinol, then bakuchiol is definitely a good way to go. Really gentle. I'm using this one by Wildland Botanicals. I apply it throughout the day, massaging it into my crows feet, my 11's, and that annoying crepe-like skin just beneath my eyes. Good luck!

u/luvs2p33outdoors · 6 pointsr/tressless

Sounds like a solid plan, tbh. You won't need a conditioner with the ACV bar. Along with saw palmetto it's got Shea Butter, which leaves your scalp feeling great. You'll want that to deal with the itch. It helps me out a lot.

u/ExclamationPi · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

We're similar in age and she has the same interests as my best friend, so I'm sure I can come up with something. I know you said just rocks, but these cool handmade soaps with crystals in them are something I would want! There's even different varieties. Horror themed makeup bags with makeup inside, which could also be horror themed (or maybe a clutch?). I don't know if she has read any of the DC Icons series (the young adult novels), but there is a Batman one. I was originally going to say one of those vinyl clocks, but a batman themed one, then I saw that they wouldn't arrive until after Christmas so maybe an art print of a horror movie or batman? or maybe a cat dressed as batman? There's always Funko Pop! figures, which are cute until they're terrifying. I recommend the 8-Bit exclusive Freddy or Jason if she already has a collection, because she might not have those ones.

Funny kitchen strainer since u have other cooking/baking items.

Mermaid bath bomb because everyone needs good relaxation!

u/Harbinger955 · 2 pointsr/tressless

I sort of agree. I stopped using Nizoral, and I definitely don't think it's good for daily use. But yeah, that ACV bar helps. It's now on Amazon Prime too (really fucking love Amazon Prime). https://www.amazon.com/Wildland-Botanicals-ACV-Shampoo-Bar/dp/B0759ZNGJS/

u/Sexual_Batman · 17 pointsr/SkincareAddiction

I have lupus too, complete with butterfly rash and random redness everywhere. If you're looking for something to talk your redness, face oil with blue tansy has been amazing for me.
This is the one I use:
Moondrop Organic Facial Oil by Celeste Botanicals | 0.3 oz | Blue Tansy | Reduce Redness | Anti-aging | Anti-inflammation https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076Z2MSV3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_NQQ9Bb931F9W0

It doesn't get rid of all of the redness, but it helps a great deal and basically makes it look like I am wearing a light blush instead of looking sick.

u/Bobloblaw878 · 0 pointsr/SebDerm

Yeah sure, everyones different. And if you haven't been to r/nopoo then wait to judge - its not about not shampooing. Its about alternatives to harsh detergent/sulfate type shampoos. Most people know you clean your hair somehow. lol Alternatives. To chemical based/crappy cheap shampoos. For instance I use this a couple times a week and it's somewhat natural and has antifungal properties. It doesnt strip my hair/scalp so I don't over produce oil on my scalp. Yes it's subjective. But no one's recommending not ever cleaning one's hair

u/Ikotoo · 3 pointsr/tressless

I tried making my own oil mix, but it's not for me. Just get something like ScalpWorks. It's got all the oils you need plus all the stuff you want. Check out the ingredient list. I'm really liking it...

u/ClimbingHalfDome · 6 pointsr/tressless

Afterwards you should be massaging a quality oil mixture gently into the scalp. I've been using this one for the last few weeks, liking it so far.

u/Peaches80 · 13 pointsr/30PlusSkinCare

I'm currently using the one from Wildland Botanicals. It's on Amazon. Really happy with this oil.

u/tyrannosaurusregina · 3 pointsr/fringefashion

I still haven't found the one I'm thinking of, but here's a much more affordable version from a US artisan:

https://www.amazon.com/Leather-Paper-Bag-Lunch-Sack/dp/B01FIH71K6

This one is interesting, and it is apparently ethically sourced from artisans in India:

Here's a very doable-looking DIY:

u/sunshinenfundip · 4 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

my dream would either be a nice set of crochet hooks, a popcorn maker, orthis

the crochet hooks because I don't have a complete set and the ones I do have are cheap. The popcorn maker because popcorn! and the tiara because I'm a goddamn princess!!!

u/MassEffected3 · 3 pointsr/NoPoo

I started using ScalpWorks after getting some advice from the ppl over in /r/tressless. I don't saturate my scalp in it, instead I just massage a little in every night before bedtime. It's definitely helped.

u/Hybrid909 · 1 pointr/tressless

I like the ACV Herbal Shampoo Bar - Its got the Saw palmetto and Nettle which are DHT blockers, Neem oil which is antifungal (which is mostly all keto is) and a bunch of anti inflammatory oils. It's $13.95 on Amazon prime.

u/MishaJustMisha · 1 pointr/30PlusSkinCare

No problem! Right now I'm using this one and really liking it: https://www.amazon.com/Bakuchiol-Natural-Retinol-Alternative-Moisturizer/dp/B07Q25XXZL/
