Credit kitty!

I have three black cats, so... I shall choose one of them to talk about. This is Archie. People say he looks like Salem the cat from a programme I watched as a kid called "Sabrina, The Teenaged Witch".

Archie is funny. He likes fuss, and cuddles. He once shredded a caravan awning. He catches lots of mice, and also has a habit of bringing half-eaten slugs into the house.

As for a specific wishlist item - this is what I need the most, as I'm about to have my baby and witch hazel is very soothing for... afterwards.

Nerve pain is hard to treat. A topical lidocaine gel, ointment or cream might help. Do not apply a steroid (hydrocortisone) or any hemorrhoid preparations that might have a steroid. The best thing is to get started on the antiviral (Valtrex) as soon as possible.

> i wash my hands 2x with cold water and soap every time i get off the press.

Buy it. $9 for some piece of mind is well worth it.

Specifically for hemroids but I'm sure they'd help with all sorts of discomfort.

I had a 4th degree tear and found that this was more relieving than the dermoplast. Motherlove Sitz Bath Spray. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000K2YF1S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_eWr3xbJENAH8M

Ok, here's what you do:

Get yourself some Preparation H Cooling Gel and some witch hazel wipes - all of which should be available at your local pharmacy. Use them every single time you go.

The other thing you need to do to decide if you need to go to the doctor is find out if this hemorrhoid is on the inside or the outside. If it's prolapsed (on the outside) - which makes it especially painful - you can try using a little bit of lube to push it back in yourself. If it's not, just keep applying the Preparation H.

Also, try spending as little time as possible on the toilet. It sounds silly, but the way your butt slopes into the bowl can irritate it further on top of trying to just poop.

It may take a few days before you see any difference. A little Aleve or Advil can go a long way too.

I hope you start feeling better! Hemorrhoids suck.

Witch hazel soaked soft pads used to disinfect and reduce pain and inflammation on the bum. You can make them yourself but the convenience of Tucks is nice.

Its available at any drug store. They're wipes. Just follow the directions on the box and be religious about treating it.

I got the Preparation H Wipes with Aloe & Witch Hazel. They are a life saver!

You are one tough lady. Thank you for explaining that getting a rape kit done is a pretty grueling and miserable experience. I think a lot of people who've never had one don't realize how invasive and time consuming they are. I really hope this guy ends up in prison.

These may help to alleviate some of your physical discomfort.

The interval doesn't really matter. It's not like laser. Imagine if you went to laser every two weeks. It takes awhile for the dead hairs to come out. You would be wasting money zapping already dead hairs. With electro, that's not happening. You can be assured that each hair you zap is still alive.

If you're worried about one week not being enough time for the skin to heal, you can always alternate areas. One week you can work on the goatee area, another you can work on the neck, another on the sideburns, etc. I'm currently doing electro sessions once per week.

If the pain really bothers you, there are numbing creams available. There are some available. Something like this is pretty good, and there are stronger ones available by prescription. I typically do two hour electro sessions, which would be impossible for me without getting all numbed up first.

I hope I'm not too late to the party!

Apply this to your lady bits a half hour before, but be EXTREMELY CAREFUL on the "mucus membranes" eg the red/pink parts (different on everyone, but generally inside the labia is a mucus membrane). It's a local analgesic (lidocaine, in this case), so it should numb the pain.

Unless you don't like the feeling of novacaine. Some people think it feels like tingling. Any -caine is a sodium channel inhibitor, so if you've ever been given a -caine and had side effects (vomiting, irritation, rash, uncomfortable tingling) take the pain instead.

I was using a lot of suppositories after I delivered, do to some massive hemmies and a fissure. I began to get concerned about the cortizone, because I think it thins the skin if you use it too long (check with the doc on that one). Then spent an embarrassing amount of time reading "chronic hemorrhoid sufferer" message board.

A winner among the hemmie people was Calmol suppositories. There is no hydrocortizone in them, but they effing worked for me. They're also a much more butt-friendly shape. The cortizone-based ones always make my butt feel weird, but Calmol didn't. I keep them in the freezer, btw.

Also, stick the witch hazel (Tucks) pads or a cotton ball soaked in witch hazel on your butt when you're done with the bathroom and just leave it in there.

I've been there girl, and they suck so so so so so bad. Mine finally healed and now I'm pregnant again, damnit.
