Yoga Friends looking to start meditation suggestions

Meditation Cushion (I think I have the 13" one) - I specifically have this Reehut ($23) one and a Manduka one (I cant find it online! but it was about $50) and the manduka definitely has a better suede feel, the Reehut one feels just as nice to sit on).

Headspace account - you can get a year premium account on eBay just saying for a fraction of the price... (I'm talking like $5 versus $100).

Journal - I got the meditation cushion and added a journal for my friend (I ended up getting a 3pack from Costco for $11 and gifting to 3 people! 😁

Odds and Ends:

If you want to spend money on your yoga friend, a Liforme yoga mat that's $150-200 might be right up your alley.

I also want the NOW Tone Therapy speakers but cant talk myself into spending $150 for 3 minutes of sweet bells.

Jessamyn Stanley also has Every Body Yoga for someone who practices yoga and is interested in hearing Jessamyn's journey to yoga. She's very inclusive and I really enjoyed reading her story. The yoga is very basic though.

I posted a similar question on here for a gift for my boyfriend, and I got a lot of great responses so I decided to make a "panic box" for him with lots of different ideas.

He is big on scents for soothing, so I got him a relaxation blend and frankincense essential oils, as well as his favorite incense.

He is also very responsive to tea, so I got him this pregnancy tea. I know that seems weird, but it was one of the few on Amazon that had chamomile and oatstraw. Although I didn't really expect them to work, I also got him stress mints, calm drops, and moon drops in hopes that having something to suck on might calm him down if some minor anxiety pops up.

As for books, after reviewing this thread here, I got him this anxiety memoir since he seems to benefit from reading other people's stories (shout out to this subreddit! Thanks guys!), as well as this workbook.

Finally, I got him a panic pete to give him something to hold and squeeze when he was anxious. Out of all the things I got him, he loved panic pete the best!

As a final, personal touch, I printed out this article which he loved reading when he is anxious, and included some of the calming mantras I found here.

So, to recap, for materials, you'll need the candle (which we'll dress on Thursday), the Dragonsblood incense, and rum. You should be able to score all that for $20 or so. If not let me know and we'll prioritize.

I hate having dry hands (curse the dishes) so yes I do use hand cream. There's also the saying that you can tell a person's real age by looking at their hands~

As other suggested, you could use body sunscreen and/or body hand cream too!

I really like the Skinfood rose and shea butter hand cream. It's 25 spf, absorbs pretty fast and doesn't leave my hands sticky. (I have pretty oily fingers btw) It also smells really good! It might be a bit strong for some people but I personally love how the smell stays even an hour later.

I don't know if I've ever been inside a Hot Topic, but I can at least tell you that Dragon's Blood is a fairly common incense scent. You can almost surely find something pretty close, even if you can't find the exact brand. Do post a pic, tho. Good luck.

Shoyeido makes high quality incense that is especially beginner friendly. You can browse their entire line on their website and they also sell a lot of items through Amazon. Their Daily Assortment pack is a good introduction to their basic style, and Japanese incense in general. I particularly like their Plum Blossoms. I buy most of my incense from Japan Incense. They carry Shoyeido as well as many other great brands such as Baieido, Kunjudo, Keigado, Kunmeido, and Yamadamatsu.

This is my favorite inscent. I have to order it online because no shop in my town sells this specific box. I am also a big fan of lavender oil, so i have a couple of oil burners with that in it around the house. I also make a lemon eucalyptus h20 spray to help keep fleas and fruit flies outta the house. These are my favorite, each scent is really different and fun to try.
These are the backflow ones I use (like the video) and have some strong, distinct scents as well, though I prefer the first ones.

Here's what I've learned. This coil is part of a Shoyeido series called Horin. You purchased the highest grade in the series. It has a stiff learning curve, being a Kyara blend. I've noticed that it's hard to pin down- the notes shift and bend as it fills the space. It's got a tanginess that might be strange coming from the Bosen Blessing coils. All the coils in this series have oils and that might be strange for you too. The first in the series, Nijo, is a very easy entrance, but relies greatly on oils for it's surprising identity. This one seems like a deal, but the additional varieties, excluding superhit, are all chemical smelling junk with a totally different consistency(they light instantly and give off lots of black smoke before you blow them out).
