I posted a similar question on here for a gift for my boyfriend, and I got a lot of great responses so I decided to make a "panic box" for him with lots of different ideas.

He is big on scents for soothing, so I got him a relaxation blend and frankincense essential oils, as well as his favorite incense.

He is also very responsive to tea, so I got him this pregnancy tea. I know that seems weird, but it was one of the few on Amazon that had chamomile and oatstraw. Although I didn't really expect them to work, I also got him stress mints, calm drops, and moon drops in hopes that having something to suck on might calm him down if some minor anxiety pops up.

As for books, after reviewing this thread here, I got him this anxiety memoir since he seems to benefit from reading other people's stories (shout out to this subreddit! Thanks guys!), as well as this workbook.

Finally, I got him a panic pete to give him something to hold and squeeze when he was anxious. Out of all the things I got him, he loved panic pete the best!

As a final, personal touch, I printed out this article which he loved reading when he is anxious, and included some of the calming mantras I found here.

So, to recap, for materials, you'll need the candle (which we'll dress on Thursday), the Dragonsblood incense, and rum. You should be able to score all that for $20 or so. If not let me know and we'll prioritize.

I have a couple of these scent ball plug ins & I love them. You can use whichever scented oils you happen to like and put them on a little strip of cotton and it works very much like the store bought kind, but with the scents you love best.

I hate having dry hands (curse the dishes) so yes I do use hand cream. There's also the saying that you can tell a person's real age by looking at their hands~

As other suggested, you could use body sunscreen and/or body hand cream too!

I really like the Skinfood rose and shea butter hand cream. It's 25 spf, absorbs pretty fast and doesn't leave my hands sticky. (I have pretty oily fingers btw) It also smells really good! It might be a bit strong for some people but I personally love how the smell stays even an hour later.

My advice to you is to make flash cards, and on the day of the test, when your anxiety is just sky high, just repeat to yourself "i know the material. there is nothing to be nervous about. They're pretty neat! I personally vastly prefer actual candles but warmers are these little pots or plates like this that you place these little cubes of scented wax on and as they melt they fill the room with the scent. They're pretty popular.

Run the water in the sink while you poop - or even better, poop before you shower if you can, and just run the shower while pooping and then hop in when you're done. I also love Poo-Pourri for eradicating the olfactory evidence. They have manly scents as well. This is how it works.

When I lived in a similar situation, I reworked my shitting/showering schedule so that I pooped before the shower and ran the shower while I did so. That and the poo-pourri soothed my shit-shyness and upheld the illusion that my poop smells like cedar and lemons. XD

I don't know if I've ever been inside a Hot Topic, but I can at least tell you that Dragon's Blood is a fairly common incense scent. You can almost surely find something pretty close, even if you can't find the exact brand. Do post a pic, tho. Good luck.

Shoyeido makes high quality incense that is especially beginner friendly. You can browse their entire line on their website and they also sell a lot of items through Amazon. Their Daily Assortment pack is a good introduction to their basic style, and Japanese incense in general. I particularly like their Plum Blossoms. I buy most of my incense from Japan Incense. They carry Shoyeido as well as many other great brands such as Baieido, Kunjudo, Keigado, Kunmeido, and Yamadamatsu.

This is my favorite inscent. I have to order it online because no shop in my town sells this specific box. I am also a big fan of lavender oil, so i have a couple of oil burners with that in it around the house. I also make a lemon eucalyptus h20 spray to help keep fleas and fruit flies outta the house. These are the backflow ones I use (like the video) and have some strong, distinct scents as well, though I prefer the first ones.

You mentioned that you're bringing Advil - have you ever tried starting it a day or two before the action starts? I've seen that strategy mentioned in a few threads lately (though nothing I saved, apparently - sorry!) and can't wait to try it next month. Poo Pourri is also amazing. It definitely saved me from inexplicably rushing my boyfriend out of our hotel room once lol. That said... while I feel it's just polite to eliminate any unpleasantness my period could cause others, periods are just something that happens. If someone can't handle seeing a well-wrapped pad (honestly why are they looking that closely at the bathroom garbage anyway), they need a reality check.

I guess it is possible this could be explained by that IR blaster mumbo jumbo that someone else mentioned, but I think that the far more likely explanation is that your Xbox is cursed. This video gives excellent advice about how to remove a curse. In my experience, the candle method is about 75% effective. If it doesn't work, you could submerge your Xbox in holy water for at least 1 hour. This method is 100% effective but there is a small chance the powerful spiritual energies involved could cause permanent damage to your Xbox. Additionally, holy water can be quite costly, and you will probably need at least a gallon of it to fully submerge the Xbox.

You'll also need charcoal and a wooden coaster to set the charcoal burner on.

Then you can pretty much follow these directions to get you on your way!

Love the idea broadly! A diffuser as suggested by /u/kroneland is a great idea, and then they wouldn't be going into the Bath & Body Works extreme plastic waste kind of product.

If you wanted to do a diffuser though now you could use the EO Scentball, which is a plug-in diffuser I've used int he past, it has pads and you can put whatever you want on them, any scent, with nothing that you throw away (except for the thing itself one day).

Can I recommend you buy some "poo pourri" for the shared bathroom? You do a few sprays in the toilet before you poop and it honest to god stops the scene of poop (by forming an oil over the surface so the smell doesn't leak out). Give it a try and avoid the issue going forward.

Firstly, carbon monoxide is nasty and difficult to detect, and can have serious health impacts, so it's worth investigating if you're worried about it.

If you're certain you're seeing things, there are many potential causes to rule out, from harmless infrasound to potentially more serious air quality issues. All of these are measurable, physical things, and it may comfort you and your son to know that they can cause these sorts of sightings.

As others have mentioned, it's possible you've scared yourself with the house history and are misinterpreting normal house noises. I grew up in a very old, creaky house and know how easy it is to do this. We're also biologically wired to see faces and recognisable shapes in all sorts of places, and if you're feeling threatened this is all the more likely.

Finally, if you're religious/spiritual and have ruled out the physical causes, blessing the house while splashing it with holy water or burning sage are traditional means of freeing spirits. I'm sure a quick google will give other, non-Christian or pagan methods. You can be confident that the method that appeals to you is as real as the ghost and will be effective against it.

Dollars to donuts it is mostly frankincense. Other aromatics may be added depending on who they're buying it from, and maybe they use different incense at different times. You can go to your local Catholic church to ask them what exactly they use and where they get it from, or you can just buy frankincense from any of dozens of online vendors. The region and quality of the frankincense will affect the aroma it produces, but you can buy a pound of quality for very reasonable prices. I personally like mine mixed with some rose.

To burn it you will need charcoal (self-lighting is most convenient) and an appropriate burner. Your burner should be open, if you use any kind of lid or cover it will smother the coal. Something like this works very well, is cheap and portable. If you're looking to replicate Catholic incense, do not, I repeat do not, waste your money trying to find stick incense. It just isn't the same.

Any Catholic or Orthodox supply site will have good stuff.

if you don't want him to hear you: cover the water with a thin layer of toilet paper. when you go to the bathroom it won't make any sound. with this method it will stink more because it's on top and not in the water

Poo pourri - just spray in toilet before you go, it creates a barrier of sorts that keeps the stink in. Any spray will work- just get some cheap dollar store body spray that doesn't smell too awful and a couple squirts on the surface of the water.

And do a courtesy flush too....

Even if what i got is a knock of of the real satya brand it still smells amazing and nothing like cheap incense you'd find in dollar stores.

Ehhh, I can't say you're in the wrong. It is kinda shitty if you know its gonna be a rumblesome digestive process. I would suggest discussing with boss or higher ups because it's not fair to punish someone for having stomach issues.

This stuff works wonders. You spray it prior to drop off and it really helps with odor.

But as other posters have said, you are moving in together. Everybody poops. Some poop stinks more than others. Who knows, you might be doing something dietary that is contributing. Also, is there only one bathroom in the house?

This is something that has saved me from making the bathroom smell terrible many a times.

1. Air mover by the window/door. On during and post smoking.
   
2. Lampe Berger. Once post smoke.
   
3. Incense. Specifically this. I keep it lit at the other end of the room. And one post cigar.
   
   1 hr later, no cigar smell.
