I've got an older version of this Brother P-Touch and it works great! I label every single game that doesn't have a full working storage insert. Never had any issues with it.

I used my wife's label maker. Here is a link to the one she has. Works pretty well.

Uses vinyl labels that over-wrap on themselves protecting the print and allows them to stay on the cable longer. QWERTY key setup is nice when you have a lot of labeling to to do. It also stores command formatting so you can recall them easily instead of having to re-type them in the future. Spring for a power adapter if you are going to use it a lot in the DC.

Get yourself a Dymo handheld labeler and a cartridge of nylon/polyester label. The standard dymo tape doesn't like dirt and is better for filing but nylon is much stickier. You can then print and stick them on like this. My bike has been stripped down in bits at the moment and there's a mountain of neatly labelled sandwich bags for when I get round to reassembling it; lots of little bolts and screws all labelled so I know exactly where they came off.

You can also use it for other things too, it makes everything neater than a bit of masking tape and a sharpie. I have also used paint pens in the past but they're not as neat.

You can upload the database to it and print them all off. Gives you the ability to choose what type of labeling you want as well.

One reviewer mentions MS Access so probably between a database and a Word template you could do a whole bunch in batch if needed or if it’s just one off it seems like the average person could edit the necessary info on a Word template.

Zebra if you need weather resistance.

For basic address labels, you could use something like this .

I say skip the pen!

EDIT: additionally... you could 'seal' the pen/marker with some transparent tape afterwards as well.

I use a Brother label maker: https://www.amazon.com/Brother-P-touch-PTM95-Styles-Patterns/dp/B01GQHHYFE/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=107SDYUV4T7AN&keywords=brother+label+maker&qid=1556727128&s=gateway&sprefix=brother+labe&sr=8-4

Sure, I can learn which switch does what - but guests won't know. I label all my switches. Small black text on a white (or clear) doesn't look tacky, IMO.

u/antikaos · 4 pointsr/electronic_cigarette

I actually already had it around, might not have bought it otherwise, but it is really nice to have, laser printed so no ink to smear, takes no time to type up a new label. At $15 it's probably worth it

I got this label maker and these refills. The refill tapes seem to be lasting a long time. I’m not even through half of the first wheel.

I've been eyeing this thing for rear product labels (serial numbers, MAC address, that sort of thing): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DSYEB28/ref=ord_cart_shr?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
