Yes! I love shoes! You can never go wrong with Under Armour. They are good quality, good-looking, and will last you a long while. Check out all the reviews, stellar!
Now, I don't know what you will use them for whether it's sports or casual, but shoes can be versatile. Here are some I really love!

  1. Casual
  1. Hello leather
  2. Have some color, also there are different colors in this style. I also really love the gray ones.
  3. These seem to be great for sports.
  4. Sporty casual if that's your jam.
  5. Here is one also in a variety of colors.

Now, if I had to rank them (and ofc, this always depends what you will be using these shoes for) I would go with 5, 3, 2, 1, 6, 4... I think. I may have messed up the tabs. What do you think?

Edit: oh, and if I had to pick something from my WL in that range it would be one of the two dark red lipsticks :) But you can also surprise me!

> I wear Keen shoes, specifically because they fit wide feet better.

Yes sir! Me too! And they last for a while and don't hurt my feet at all from the shape. When they do finally break down, they break down good. But up until that point, they are a tank of a shoe. I actively bike/hike in the foothills of Colorado in those shoes, plus I literally wear it for everything else too. I have taken these shoes into some really bad environments and these shoes don't fail me. For someone with problematic feet, I can't find a better shoe on the market.

I will be going on my third pair of these in the fall: https://www.amazon.com/KEEN-Targhee-Hiking-Gargoyle-Midnight/dp/B005D4U04Y/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2CSA7YWPESHXM&keywords=keen+targhee+ii+mens&qid=1557687574&s=gateway&sprefix=keen+targhee%2Caps%2C211&sr=8-1

And the only reason I am replacing them is because the were burned by accident and don't look as nice, but not because they are failing. As long as Keen keeps making these shoes, I will never buy another pair.

If I can get the shape, style, construction, reliability in a SPD pedal, I would virtually never take the shoes off but to sleep.

Keen's sandal hasn't gotten good reviews at all, and they might have even discontinued them: https://www.amazon.com/KEEN-Commuter-Cycling-Sandal-Gargoyle/product-reviews/B00RLY8Z6Y/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_hist_1?pageNumber=1&filterByStar=one_star

And the Keen Newports look like a similar shape and style of the soul: https://www.amazon.com/Keen-Mens-Newport-Sandal-Black/dp/B0006FSKF6/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=Keen&qid=1557687868&s=gateway&sr=8-2

So I would probably just do the Newports in the Summer and the Targhee's the rest of the time, but I need to clip in at this point. What I need is for Keen to make the Newports in an SPD pedal, but I don't think they will do that just for me ;)

If it wasn't for knee problems and the need to clip in at this point, I would just keep using Keen shoes and find a good sandal and just keep riding on platform pedals which I like better anyway.

But it's all about the knees now :(

I tour hot springs and combine neoprene booties with comfortable water / hiking sandals. I just switch to regular socks for dry conditions. I haven't tested them "long range" but they're well broken in from years of daily use and light hiking.

These are my favorites so far. A single snap closure to pop 'em on and off. Or skip the closure to just wear 'em like slippers for quick jaunts. The closed toe and covered heal are important given all the sharp rocks I encounter. Seems to offer good support and fit for me and my wide feet. YMMV

https://www.amazon.com/Clorts-Mens-Closed-Toe-Hiking-Sandal/dp/B00YOPVMQS

Now I'm just looking for good sandles with SPD clips for trail bikepacking with a Trek 1120 Mountain Bike. Unfortunately, the Exustar sandles I've tried aren't as convenient and comfortable as my Clorts. Not many good options for biking yet.

I'd be very interested if someone can recommend a truly BIFL pair of slippers. I am older than most Redditors (around 40) and have always had hard floors (oak and concrete) and I let it get down to 55-60F in the winter here. So the floor can get cold.

I've always used Acorn slippers from REI in the past. They were comfy and warm but they only lasted about 3 years. Now I'm actually using these and these Addidas shower/pool/home/light duty sandals in my house to protect the oak floors and they seem very solid and extremely comfy so far. But I'll have to wear wool socks with them and I don't know how long they will really last. But at $20 per pair, they are much more cost effective than most slippers.

So I'm wondering if there is a truly BIFL slipper.

During the summers, I like the KEEN sandels. Pretty much all I wear. Winter, it's Merrell Moab's. When I mt. bike, I have found the Pearl Izumi's are pretty good. For work, Rockports are comfortable.

I got a pair of Keen H2 Sandals for water things, they're a bit heavy but very solid and I walk around in them everywhere. If you hunt about a bit you can probably find them cheaper. http://www.amazon.com/Keen-Newport-Sandal-Black-Lichen/dp/B003NYQ0XQ/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1341689515&sr=8-5&keywords=keen+shoes

For every day all purpose, I really recommend the Salomon trail running shoes. Very comfortable, very durable, and no laces. I'm a big fan. http://www.amazon.com/Salomon-XA-Pro-3D-Ultra/dp/B0054TJOUE/ref=sr_1_2?s=shoes&ie=UTF8&qid=1341689609&sr=1-2&keywords=XA+3d+ultra

I bought these last night. Haven't had them on the boat yet, but I took them out in the rain last night and waded in the neighborhood pond. They seemed to work pretty well and have nice grip and drainage. On sale at cabelas for $59.99

I got [these] (http://www.amazon.com/Teva-Mens-Tanza-Sandal-Black/dp/B002KKCVT6/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1396943345&sr=8-9&keywords=teva+sandals) a few days before the festival last year and they required pretty much zero break in and they were so comfortable the whole time. They're easy to put on and take off and your feet stay cool. You can get them wet and they dry quickly. Can't recommend them enough.

u/Kakuz · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

Nice.

I just got some Tevas myself, and I'm liking them. Nice alternative to Birks imo.

I wish I had seen this thread earlier, I'd tried submiting something.

Congrats! Where are you going to school?
I would recommend this for transporting your stuff back & forth to the shower dorms and some shower shoes because if your dorms are anything like mine were they are nasty.
Would you like a falafel with that?

u/IceCreamforLunch · 3 pointsr/BuyItForLife

If you're not stuck on leather, I have had these for about fifteen years. That's fifteen years of wearing them down to the water and walking around in the lake to put boats in or into the woods to take the dog out, etc.

Super comfortable and they still look almost new.

u/lobster159 · 1 pointr/CampingGear

I would go for a Chaco Amazon knockoff.

Something like this has served me well.

I rock some Teva Toachi 2s because we camp on the river a lot and I like an open toe. Very comfy and durable.

Better footwear.

I have chronic pain. I just finished a 5-week trip around the world. Started in Beijing with two days in the Forbidden City in a really nice, comfortable pair of sneakers. By the end of the first day my legs felt like they ended in bloody stumps rather than feet. No blisters, just...agony. I could barely make it down the hall to my hotel room.

Switched to my Keen sandals, which are constructed so that when you're standing still the heel portion is juuust slightly off the ground, and your weight is mostly on the ball of your foot. Even with the previous day's damage, I walked 5 miles that day.

And continued on the rest of my trip with miles of walking each day and no pain. Got one blister when it rained like crazy and got my feet wet - hydrophilic bandage on that and went on my way, it was fully healed in 3 days.

Here's the men's version of my sandals. Get overnight or 2-day delivery to your hotel or use an Amazon lockbox and you're good to go.
