It's also here at Amazon for $130, just in case shipping puts you over that mark from OP

If you loose the CD drive and throw in an extra $10, you can get a 1050 Ti, which would be much better than the 750 Ti.
With decent internet you will be downloading all your games, and should not need a DVD drive, if in the future you do need one, try to find an external one on sale.
No, not VR ready.
At minimum, you'd need a better CPU ($58) and better GPU ($140).
So your spend would be $200 to make it VR ready.
Would this work for you?
It's a full height card, with a 2-slot wide cooler, but only one-slot mounting.
144.99 for this one
https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1505247166&sr=1-3&keywords=1050ti
So after getting the job offer finalized (took almost a month but its due to work being light in the early half of the month), I decided to reward myself with a new graphics card. Didnt want to go big due to not wanting to get THAT cocky with money spending just yet so I ended up getting ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Mini Graphic Card. Im looking forward towars it sinc hopefully I can finally run games like Witcher 3 on med settings. Anyone have this card and if so, how high can it go without needing to overclock? I did my research already so I have enough physical space to fit it, hence the mini size, and the power supply is 100W lower than what I have as a supply so Im certain it will work just fine.
You should be able to fit a mini 1050 ti (like this one https://www.amazon.com/d/Computer-Graphics-Cards/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/B01MCU1ERO) in there no problem.
It looks like the psu is standard atx size so you may be able to upgrade the psu if you want a better gpu but no promises because I'm not 100% sure about the size.
For the 1050, i bought this one
and also this ram
You might be surprised.
If we take it as an even 100W difference.
the average cost of 1KWH in America is 12 cents, and 100W is 0.1KWH.
The card doesn't consume full power all the time, only when it's gaming, so let's assume that someone is gaming full use 8 hours a day, 365 days a year on a 670 instead of a 1050Ti.
0.1x 12c = 1.2c or $0.012 per hour
0.012 x 8 = $0.096 per day
0.096 x 365 = $35.04 in extra electricity bills for a whole year.
The cheapest 1050Ti I can find actually in stock on Amazon right now is $229, (which is also consistent with current PCPartpicker pricing) where I can find completed listings for GTX 670s on ebay for about $70.
We're obviously comparing a used card to a new card with a warranty, but I'm still only suggesting it as a low cost alternative for the short term to get by until prices fall.
Never the less that's $144 difference ($229 - $84.99), you could power 4 years of 8 hours a day gaming before you'd come close to even. I'm only suggesting it's for 6 months to a year ;-)
Cool, that's the best one to have.
You can put a standard ATX size power supply in there if you needed. Something like an EVGA 500B would be good and won't cost too much.
CDN$ 190.70 -GTX 1050 Ti
CDN$ 64.99 - EVGA 500B
The GTX 1050 Ti only needs a 300W PSU. It may already have that. I've seen people run it even off of something like a 240-260W PSU and be ok. May not need to upgrade the PSU.
I would put a GTX 1050 ti in there to get the most out of your A10 CPU. The integrated graphics can run WoW but it's not ideal. GTX 1050 ti is really ideal here, going much higher and you're looking at noticing the limitations of your CPU too often. Your A10 is fine for it's price, but it's not really in the same class with GTX 1060 and higher, those are best paired with a Haswell or Skylake quad. A balanced system will run consistently, whereas an unbalanced system will run very well in some titles and comparatively not very well in others.
SSD would definitely be the second best upgrade, check out Crucial's new MX300 for really good price per gig and a good solid product with acceptable speeds. If you get a 1050 ti and a 525gb MX300 you're looking at like $260 ish to make that thing scream.

Which would be better: a zotac geforce gtx 1050 ti 4gb or an msi geforce gtx 1060 3gb?
Edit: Thanks!
Wow, thank you for such a thorough reply!
I definitely agree that I shouldn't risk overstressing and breaking my current rig when I have no suitable replacement.
Would you say there is any significant risk in replacing my GPU with a low power consumption card such as this one? At least until I can gather the funds for a whole new build.
go on ebay and buy 2x2GB extra ddr2-800 ram sticks (240pin) to get a total of 8gb. This should only cost 30 dollars or so. Might be even cheaper to get a full 2x4 GB, for a total of 8gb, and just replace your current 2x2.
Then, buy a new GPU, the gtx 1050 ti would be nice. Only requires a 300 watt PSU (double check that you have that, is listed on your PSU itself) and doesn't need an extra 6 pin connector. Will handle overwatch quite well.
Also, make sure you are running windows 10 64 version to get full access to 8gb of RAM.

139. Free shipping.
I looked at both the cards. 1050 Ti, would be a good choice I think then. This mini 1050i
first of you will need a new gpu I would recommend the 1050ti heres a link
https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1483387038&sr=1-1&keywords=1050+ti
the 1050ti I linked will fit in pretty much any system and will get you 60fps on most games at 1080p
secondly you'll need an extra stick of ram for 8gb
(wont link this since you need to figure out what ram you are currently using and other the same type)
Your proccessor should be fine however if you want to upgrade your best bet is picking up a used 3570k from ebay since it uses the same socket as your i3 and also a pretty good value nowadays
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=i5+3570k&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xi5+3570.TRS0&_nkw=i5+3570&_sacat=0
Lastly I would buy a ssd which should make programs open faster and your pc experience in general will feel smoother
https://www.amazon.com/250GB-Internal-Solid-State-Drive/dp/B01LXDQX35/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1483387611&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=ssd&psc=1
GTX 1050ti Mini $180 preorder on amazon
If you can wait a little maybe you can find a 1060 3gb at this price.
or a used 970. Go on /r/hardwareswap
The 1050 TI should be sufficient. If you can find one for ~200, a RX 570 or 580 might be a better buy since they're more powerful but expensive too.
Cheapest 1050 ti I found https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MCU1ERO/?tag=pcpapi-20&th=1
Cheapest RX 570 https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814126189
That Nvidia GT 710 is really meant to give you graphics when your CPU doesn't support it so you have SOMETHING to display. It really sticks out to me as the bottleneck of your system. Get a GTX 1050 ti ($150), the difference will blow you away.
EDIT: Here's one for 129.99: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_40EfAb0J7PW6S for the power this is a steal.
This is the exact gpu I have

>without cracking the 100 dollar mar
Not new.
The cheapest new GPU that I can recommend is the 1050TI which is 140$.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MCU1ERO
Base pc at 180
1050ti mini
240gb SSD
All together it's about 430 bucks. It comes with a legit copy of Windows, and in case you need a new PSU (you shouldn't) you have plenty of budget for it.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01MCU1ERO/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1482420447&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=1050&dpPl=1&dpID=51ip90ynHwL&ref=plSrch&dpPl=1&dpID=51ip90ynHwL&ref=plSrch
Is this it the 1050ti?
https://www.amazon.com/d/Computer-Graphics-Cards/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/B01MCU1ERO
Is the exact model of it. It fit in the case I had it in, so I'm not sure (scrapped the case from an old lenovo sff build). I guess it depends on what your considering SFF. I'm sure YMMV depending on the case. Worked fine for me though.
Oh darn, I might have messed up already then. I was looking at amazon and reading the reviews, a lot of people DID fit this 1050ti in their SFF rig. And the 1050ti and 1060 3GB (both mini) being the same (111.15mm) height, is there a reason that the 1060 won't fit? Or will the 1050ti also not fit? Whew, this is getting hairy already, boys.
It says Mini- Tower. I found a https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MCU1ERO/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AVCN3MVCVULPH&psc=1 where a few people said the PC works with this watt draw.
Thanks man, you are right, did not realize how hard it is to find the old CPUs :(
On another note, just saw this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MCU1ERO/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1&tag=mpptbm8aqyadc9e-20
I think i will probably settle with 1050 Ti because this is such a good price
1060, 1050ti. Both zotac minis as they are usually the lowest priced.
Edit: sorry not UK site, but I'm US lol. Just type the names in amazon UK site search bar you'll find em. Or newegg or whatever.
Looking at the card you've got there, when you say "single slot", you just mean "takes a single external slot" rather than "fits entirely inside a single slot"?
Allowing the cooler to take up more space gives you a bit more flexibility here. I just installed one of these the other day - it only took up a single card-cage slot but the cooler took up a "slot" of space next to it inside the case. There's a GTX 1050 vanilla version of it but it's a bit above your price range.
If you're willing to drop down a bit in performance, a Geforce 730 or 1030 will fit just fine inside your case & budget. There's also some Radeon r5/r7 models that'll do the job.
Just keep in mind that getting VGA ties you to older cards that are going to be worse value for your money.
Thank you!
What about this gpu? It's cheaper. Are mini GPUs worse than the normal ones?
Sadly for some reason there are almost no availability of 1050Ti's here. And the ones available are almost at the price of the 1060 3GB.
The RX 470 Nitro+ is at the same price than the MSI RX 480 I linked lol.
[edit]
Just checked, the cheapest 1050 Ti 4GB is this ZOTAC one and I can get it for about 236 dollars... quite the difference compared to US amazon. I can get it by around 180 in US amazon WTF.
this one isnt slighty better? is just a bit more expensive. But is the 1050 Ti really worth? I've read quite some bad reviews about it.
The 1050 Ti is $139
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_zv1jybCS6B1PT
Easy! Get yourself a GTX 1070 (Any company is fine, except for EVGA) If you are going to game on new titles.
Unless you play MOBAS and FPS such as CS:GO, then go for a GTX 1060 or the 1050 TI.
Here, i'll give you links to the graphic cards mentioned above
1050 TI
1060
1070
Now unfortonatley, you are going to have to higher your budget for the 1070 if you really do some hardcore game. But for you, since you only do game, I recommend the 1060.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MCU1ERO
Your CPU might be a bottleneck in some games but you can always carry over the card to a newer PC if you upgrade.
Would this be a good equivalent to the Nvidia GTX 1050 ti?
https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1506428784&sr=1-4&keywords=nvidia+gtx+1050ti&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011
You're better off finding a used prebuilt and putting a nice GPU in it. Take this Dell Optiplex for example. It comes with a nice CPU, HDD, RAM and already has Windows installed. All you need to put in it is a GPU, like the GTX 1050 Ti and maybe an SSD if it fancies you. Then you have a gaming machine that can play just about everything at medium-high for around $300-350.
I just looked up eBay real quick and clicked on the first thing. You can probably find something similar for a lot cheaper with deeper searching. Also check your local classified listings. Most companies/recyclers are usually eager to get rid of them quickly which gives you negotiating power.

Thoughts on these? Should I focus on something that is closer to 4GB? Would I experience any bottlenecking on my CPU?

Which one would be better please? I'm assuming the EVGA one?
And do you know if this would fit in my case with everything else that's already in it? Sorry for all the questions :b
I meant something like this, but thanks anyway! (not /s)
Yeah. The 1050ti is the weakest card you should probably even buy.
https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1503102132&sr=1-3&keywords=1050ti
I'm watching a youtube video of someone who built a build with this case. He looks to be able to fit a 1050ti in with some modifications to the case and removing some plastic.
EDIT: Maybe something like this? https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-1050-TI-4GT/dp/B01N2W8MJ9/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1492901966&sr=8-1&keywords=MSI+GeForce+GTX+1050+Ti+DirectX+12+GTX+1050+TI+4GT+LP+4GB In the video I saw he used https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO?psc=1&SubscriptionId=0ENGV10E9K9QDNSJ5C82&tag=zacbuchholz-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B01MCU1ERO and it required a case mod
Ooh, my bad, it seems there are only 1050ti variants with 4GB of RAM. Sorry about that.
Still, if you can afford a ~$35 price increase, I would recommend either the Zotac GTX 1050ti 4GB OC variant or the standard model. Both are amazing cards and I have had good experience with Zotac in my HTPC.
If you can't afford that, you can stick with the EVGA GTX 1050, since it should only perform about ~15% worse than the ti model.
You shouldn't have any trouble adding a GTX 1050TI and running it with your 430w power supply. You'll be held back by your CPU but a dedicated GPU like the 1050TI is about 4 times faster than the graphics built in to your A10-7700k. What games are you wanting to play though? That's a very weak CPU and it's going to struggle with newer games. But here's the card I would recommend in your situation. https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=gtx+1050ti&qid=1550195760&s=gateway&sr=8-2
Also if you want your system to feel a lot faster, clone your windows install onto an SSD. You can easily power your current hard drive and an SSD together. Here's a decent SSD https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-MX500-500GB-NAND-Internal/dp/B0784SLQM6/ref=sr_1_15?keywords=ssd+240gb&qid=1550196168&s=gateway&sr=8-15
There's even a 1050ti that's pcie powered: https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO
I know it's a bit out of your price range but hey
I can upload one when I get back tonight. But I just checked the site, it says no additional power required. It's the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Mini, 4GB GDDR5 DisplayPort 128-bit Gaming Graphic Card: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MCU1ERO/?coliid=IK4RZD5CNQ2IF&colid=WR91D42EOQK5&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
Looks like its out of stock. How does this one look? https://www.amazon.ca/GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-Graphic-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1499801414&sr=1-1&keywords=zotac%2B1050%2Bti&th=1
Technically a single-slot...
Welp, I guess I'll stick with this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MCU1ERO/?tag=pcpapi-20
You could get a 1050ti from Amazon for relatively cheap which should give you quite a boost.
I just swapped from one to a 1060SC, I ran CSGO at max and Overwatch on High no prob.
Also you can use a Powershell command (if that's your bag) to unlock your CPU subprocessor and give you a bit of a performance boost
Thanks for your response! Is the gpu you listed the only one that is powered 100% through the motherboard? For example this gpu https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO claims to not need any external power.
I'm thinking about just buying a new PSU but I'm just trying to see all of my options. Thanks again!
I'd recommend getting a GPU like a Zotac or EVGA 1050 Ti. These, and other 1050 Ti models, don't require an additional power connector, which the power supply in your prebuilt may not have. You don't need a beefier GPU for Overwatch, it ran fine on the 750 Ti I used to have.
Will this get the job done?
https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=as_at?imprToken=Js5ttaix34titpmQ1430uA&slotNum=5&psc=1&SubscriptionId=AKIAIO22DD3AFUSKXUKQ&tag=makeusw-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B01MCU1ERO
Also I have the 4gb version of the rx550 not the 2gb as shown in the video.
Look on Amazon $123 for a 1050 Ti:
https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=sr_1_6?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1511354791&sr=1-6&keywords=gtx+1050+ti
Probably around 1050Ti range. 60+ FPS on Heroes of the Storm, Overwatch, and Sims 4. Here is a draft of part list. Thinking about getting a cheap (under $150) monitor today and maybe pull the trigger on this 1050Ti
It's gone now, but this was it: https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1511330308&sr=1-4&keywords=1050+ti

Don't get that old ass fx stuff bruh. It's not worth it as you can see.
(I just did this quick and rough btw don't hate)
CPU - Intel i5 8600k $239.
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO $30.
Motherboard - MSI Z370-A PRO $100.
RAM - Patriot Viper Elite Series 8GB DDR4 2400MHz $81.
SSD - PNY CS1311 240GB $70.
HDD - Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB $44.
Video Card - Zotac GeForce GTX 1050-Ti 4GB mini $200.
Case - NZXT S340 Black $70.
Power Supply - EVGA SuperNOVA G3 80+ Gold 550W $70.
Total Price: $904. Throw in Windows for an additional $90-$100. It's really hard to get a decent PC to be under $1,000 nowadays with the price of RAM and GPU's :( I think this build will suit you best though. It's definitely not bad,
I second the Dell Optiplex.
Here's one for $150. It includes an i5 3550, 8GB of ram, a 500GB HDD, an optical drive, and Windows 10 Pro. A very good deal that will overcome the overpriced ram problem.
Here's a $90 1080p, 60Hz, IPS monitor.
Here's a $225 GTX 1050 Ti (MSRP: $140). All graphics cards above a GT 1030 are overpriced right now.
Here's a $95 Samsung 860 EVO 250GB SSD. You can clone the operating system on the HDD to it.
Here's a $27 blue switch mechanical keyboard. (or if you want a more silent keyboard get this $40 brown switch keyboard).
You may want to replace the power supply. Here's a good one for $50.
Total: $637
I'm sorry, but you will have to forgo having a blue case with LEDs and a side-window if you wish to have a decent PC at or below your $700 budget. Good luck building!
I've got a Zotac GTX 1050 Ti Mini, if you're interested.
Same one listed here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=twister_B01M3U7DDB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Since your PC is based around an Intel CPU, I'd recommend the GTX 1050 ($109) or 1050 Ti ($139). This Zotac GPU should work just fine for Astroneer, considering my old GTX 660 pulls 60 FPS (at least in a new game)
Bruh I’m talking about a prebuilt pc. Just slap in https://www.amazon.com/ZOTAC-GeForce-DisplayPort-128-bit-ZT-P10510A-10L/dp/B01MCU1ERO/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1535919649&sr=1-4&keywords=1050
