Here is a cleaning kit. I am pretty sure there are cheaper ones on ebay or in used games stores but this will help you get the idea.

As someone who has fallen in love with some games that are hard to find an expensive let me just say I am so happy that I kept most of them or found copies before game collectors were a huge thing. There are still a handful of big ticket items I want to find but I am just going to have to save up and hope for a good deal or get really lucky.

Well, ROMs are the way to go if you want to play an old game without owning it. The fake carts are neat but generally they are buggy in one way or another. Some games have also been flooded with fakes so it makes things really complicated.

The retro game stores near me also have prices that are higher than I would like but they are a good way to get the cheaper easier to find games. You don't have to worry about them being fakes or not working but expensive games are at least 20% more than online prices usually even more than that. I can't really blame them. I know it is how they make their money and someone will buy it.

Oh, you should see my jar of resin failures. I keep trying to come up with something to do with it. Some people online suggest grinding them down and turning it into filler for solid colored pieces. If I had a way to grind it all down I just might give that a try.

u/THE_NEWEST_3DS · 6 pointsr/3DS

Those cheap Chinese ones are terrible. The two I bought were barely being held together by the dozen screws in it. Cyber gadget makes a pretty decent grip, but it's quite a bit more expensive. I find that it is much more comfortable than the cheaper versions and has some game storage in the back as well. Amazon

As far as cases... If you want a case to hold the 3ds with the grip installed, the NES classic case is awesome. Just trim out the thin strip of foam in the middle and the gripped console drops right in. Even has room for a charger too! Amazon

Hope that helps!

My friend did the same thing. He was getting a divorce and clearing out his house and posted on FB free NES, few games, 2 NES advantage controllers (one in the original box never used and still in the plastic) and multiple boxes from previous games he no longer had. The only thing missing was the power supply. I was super stoked and ordered one online. Plugged that baby in and got the blinking red light. I cleaned the games, blow the fuck out of them, stuffed one on top of the other and I could only get Contra to work briefly and it was all pixelated and crappy display. My heart was broken and I sadly packed it all up and put it in my basement.

6 months go buy or so and I find a store in my mall that repairs and sales retro games. He was like here replace this connection component on the motherboard and you will have a new system, cost $15. Bought it and swapped it out and I was back to a new system!!!

So I would suggest doing the same and always clean the cartridges with a q-tip and rubbing alcohol to remove any oxidation.

This one will fix the actual design issue and you may never have to swap out the 72 pin connector again.

https://www.arcadeworks.net/blw

This is the original replacement, it is cheaper, but over time you could experience the same issue where the pins stretch and don’t make contact.

https://www.amazon.com/Connector-Nintendo-System-Bulk-Packaging-entertainment/dp/B002DLOM6C/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=OHU19SUAITHR&keywords=nes+72+pin+connector+replacement&qid=1551190926&s=gateway&sprefix=nes+72+&sr=8-4

And here’s a cleaning kit that does well.

https://www.amazon.com/1UPcard-Video-Cartridge-Cleaning-Nintendo-NES/dp/B00S7HYEKK/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=ET82QFTGL1X4&keywords=1up+card&qid=1551191045&s=gateway&sprefix=1up+&sr=8-1

Oh and retro gaming can and will become an addiction. I now own Atari 2600, NES, SNES, N64, Gameboy (orig) a ton of games and peripherals for the systems. And wait when you find home brew games and there is a company that made a brand new game and I sponsored on Kickstarter and will get the game this year.

Good luck! And have fun!

Pi with a good wireless NES controller works great. If you can find an NES Classic (they are gonna be released again this year) you can get a wireless controller that is very close to an NES controller, of an extension cord for the included controller (you will need one, the cords are VERY short).

If you want to got he cartridge route, you can get an NES and the carts, and there are 3rd party NES systems too, but the carts might be hard to find.

I'd go with the NES classic along with a wireless controller or the extension cord. It looks like an (small) NES and works great. I have one with both an extension cord for the original controller and a wireless controller, and have had no issues.

I think both work great!

I mean, I basically outlined it in a previous post here. Take a clean cloth and some isopropyl and work it in to the connector.

Some people use an old credit card or something like it and wrap the cloth around it and work it down in to the connector where games get inserted. You could also use an old toothbrush instead of a card and cloth. You could also use something like this.

Then take a small regular screwdriver (like for eyeglasses) and gently lift the pins uniformly across the whole connector. Also clean the contacts where the lower pins sit on the motherboard with isopropyl and a few q-tips to make sure you lift any other nasty bits off the board.

The single best thing you can do once you get the connector cleaned is to clean ALL of your games with isopropyl and q-tips. Try not to put dirty games in clean connectors.

u/ssaltmine · 1 pointr/raspberry_pi

> then what happens when I do want to use the GPIOs?

I guess it depends on whether there is any support for them. The EmulationStation software is just an interface to run different independently programmed emulators, so it is made independently from the Raspberry Pi.

The GPIOs first and foremost are controlled by the Linux kernel, by special modules programmed by the Raspbery Pi developers and included in Raspbian. I'm not sure if the EmulationStation software even has access to those GPIOs. If there is no code to interact with the GPIOs then you wouldn't be able to use them inside EmulationStation.

As far as I can tell, EmulationStation should be able to run in Linux, Windows, Mac, and basically anywhere where the C++ compiler and libraries are available. So it shouldn't depend on the Raspberry Pi hardware at all.

USB controllers and Joysticks are handled also by the Linux kernel, through kernel modules (USB human input devices, HID). So, yes, if you would like to build your own USB controller, you would need to see how they do it at that hardware level in the Linux kernel. I guess it would be just a case of copying a bunch of code, and adjusting it to your particular hand made device. But yes, it does sound too complicated to do, especially hunting the exact piece of code, inside the Linux kernel that provides the support for such USB devices.

Your best bet, I guess, is finding a USB controller that imitates the appearance of the DS lite, while not being an actual refurbished DS. Sort of like those USB Nintendo controllers. https://www.amazon.com/USB-Classic-Controllers-PlayStation-HyperSpin/dp/B07491YH2R/

u/hipnotyq · 1 pointr/nintendo

Yeah, I feel pretty confident in saying that the employees set consoles aside, which I guess I can't be that pissed about because I did it too once (but not on a super hot item like this, just on a game we only got a few copies of at the store).

It would be nice to get one of these, but I really just want the controllers, which are also sold out everywhere and going for $600 on Amazon.ca at the moment since I already have an awesome modded Wii that I've put a lot of time into and has way more than 30 NES games. I want that controller though for authentic feel. Oh well, I'll get my hands on one soon enough, it's just like amiibos.

u/Mynam3isnathan · 2 pointsr/crtgaming

I can't wait to use a GameCube controller with this setup, I love the native ports on the Wii but I do have a USB adapter that I can test tomorrow when my controllers come in! (here - and not that it matters, but IMO this one looks the best. Nice rough textured plastic exterior and I'll always take some Japanese labeling)

With the HDMI output and generally good upscaling for GC games on the Wii U through the hacked vWii I figured this was the best way to go with an HD TV in the mix. Though I heavily considered something like the EON with a real GameCube, but there's no way I could justify that price in comparison.

Had no idea about the SNES and NES mini controllers! I've been wondering how I should get those into the mix!

u/Cheech47 · 2 pointsr/buildapc

I don't have a rugrat of my own, but I can see where you're coming from with the power button. :)

I don't know how much you deal with digital cameras or memory cards, but I ended up putting a card reader in the 3.5in slot and that's come in handy a lot. You could just get a pod and have it next to the PC, but it's something to think about.

You'll end up using the crap out of that Harmony One, and just saved yourself more headache than you know. The one big thing with WMC (and something that I haven't devoted a ton of time to) is mapping the Back arrow on the upper left to a button on the remote. If you don't get that, you'll be using a mouse a LOT. Speaking of which, it's not a bad idea (depending on budget) to pick up a wireless keyboard and mouse for the impromptu internet browsing or just general stuff. I have the Adesso keyboard (http://www.adesso.com/en/home/keyboards/91-wkb-3000ub.html) which works fairly well and I get a good range from it (about 15+ meters line-of-sight) It probably doesn't help that I have a 5dbi 2.4GHz antenna spewing 3 meters from the receiver, but it does the job.

I picked up 2 PS3 pads and haven't had issues with them yet. I know there are some USB NES pads (http://www.amazon.com/Retro-Classic-Controller-Nintendo-Entertainment-System/dp/B00281PFQI) so you don't have to screw with adapters.

u/cross_bearer_02 · 2 pointsr/minines

This is the kit I originally ordered. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CUMNIV8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

There are other cheaper kits, and for NES emulation, the kit I bought is a bit overkill. But I sprang for a slightly more expensive kit because I'm also using the Raspberry Pi for other things besides just an emulation box.

Best thing to do is just shop around. At minimum, you want a kit that comes with heatsinks, power supply, and a sturdy case. If you don't already have spare HDMI cables and an SD card, you'll want those as well, of course.

You'll also want controllers like these for NES emulation: https://www.amazon.com/Controller-Laptop-approx-Windows-Kernel-Classic/dp/B01N2YT0QT/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1492532678&sr=8-3&keywords=usb+nes+controller

If you search for "USB NES controllers" on Amazon, you'll find a good many of them available. Shop around and read the reviews, although I imagine most are similar to one another.

u/QuarterSwede · 2 pointsr/RetroPie

I went for a classic 5 pack of NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, and PlayStation USB controllers. It comes with a long USB extension as well. N64 is admittedly a pain to set up in retroarch (works perfectly well in the EmulationStation UI) but once you figure it out it’s fantastic to play with the original feel.

> They currently sell the 2DS for $80.

Apples and oranges. A 2DS has a high potential for other purchases beyond the the device (further games, accessories, downloads). A Hypothetical miniGB would be one-and-done.

> TV hookups would be optional

Didn't you just say cost to build it wouldn't be an issue? Adding this feature to a device that already has a screen that is a one and done device would be quite a jump from that of an NES/SNES mini that has a single output.

> could be done through local wireless connectivity

Still saying cost to produce wouldn't be an issue? Already it sounds like way more than it's worth for nostalgia sake.

> I actually think the N64 Classic will be a harder sell because you'd need to buy at least two extra controllers

You mean no one would be willing to buy additional official nintendo controllers like these? Honestly, the N64 assuming it happens, can just as easily come with 2 controllers (which is plenty for a solid 64 experience). Hard sell? Really? Let's be honest. You (and everyone else on this forum) would buy 2 additional controllers without thinking twice, some would even buy 3 more... at least.

u/OdinRage02 · 1 pointr/Gameboy

A set like this will get you into pretty much any Nintendo game/console, and some Sega Genesis games as well. 3.8 mm will get you into the Nintendo stuff (NES, SNES, GB, GBC, N64), the 4.5 into Sega stuff, and the tri wing gets you into Gameboy Advance games/systems as well as newer Nintendo consoles ( like the Wii and DS) as well.

u/zurratype · 4 pointsr/gaming

You can find that exact same controller cheaper or you can make your own. It is a pretty easy process to make one and you can buy the parts for about 10 bucks. Also, on underground-gamer and bitgamer somebody makes custom ones for pretty good prices. You can get a box that does just 2 nes controllers or 4 controller ports for nes, snes, n64, psx, dreamcast, etc...

edit: although for actually doing this I'd imagine you'd want to just jack the buttons from an nes controller and add them to a mouse.

u/OSiRiS341 · 1 pointr/minines

Just to show you how confident I am to get one this time around... I just ordered this case for it : https://www.amzn.com/B01LYFRCWF/

YAY! :)

u/callahan09 · 1 pointr/RetroPie

Thanks for the recommendation on the case! I've decided to go ahead and get one!

Here's what I ultimately decided to go with:

u/peachey777 · 2 pointsr/emulation

The Wii is my main NES now on my old TV. I couldn't get the official controllers when they came out, but I ended up getting this one made by Hyperkin. I actually like them better than the original controllers, but I know some people can't get over them not being the official controllers. They also make ones that use USB and ones that work on real NES hardware

u/WeebyMcWeebFace · 1 pointr/raspberry_pi

Retropie is pretty easy to setup and looks nice. Just get a case, install retropie, hook up one of these controllers, and bam.

u/Efriim · 1 pointr/snes

Yeah if it is convenient, it's fun either way.

You will need a 4.5mm Gamebit screwdriver to open a SuperNES One that has a long and skinny neck(actualname?) like this https://www.amazon.com/Security-Screwdriver-Nintendo-Consoles-ninthseason/dp/B01ECGHJX8/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=gamebit+4.5mm&qid=1555178666&s=gateway&sr=8-8

Alternatively.

You can mold one out of a pen.

Find a pen that is relatively hard plastic and skinny enough to fit into the holes on the back of the supernes.

Take the ink out and dispose of it so you have just the pen tube.

Find a lighter.

If you have some sort of handkerchief or glasses you can use it as a mask, else get ready to hold your breath.

Prepare to melt the end of the pentube by applying heat to it with the lighter, careful not to set it on fire.

and prepare to insert the melting end into the back of the Super NES over the screw.

Execute what you prepared for, you might feel a squish of the melted plastic on the screw, and wait a good minute and a half for the pen to dry and harden over the screw,

this may take a few tries, but if you are careful enough turn slowly to drive the screws out.

u/fooblah · 1 pointr/gaming

Yeah, I have be very careful when I start playing an RTS. Usually it goes, feed him, change him, swaddle him, and then rock him to sleep. Once he's passed out for 5-10 minutes, then I have a decent shot at being able to get a game or two in. Other than that, if I do play a real-time game I try to make sure it's a SP game that I can pause if I need to.

I am looking forward to introducing him to two player games as he gets older. I have two of these and will be introducing him to all the old classics.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/Games

Bit of a stretch here but if she has enough dexterity in her right arm and hand she could use something like this and you she could then have access to a larger variety of games.

Building on that idea maybe this would be a more viable option.

u/jdjmad · 1 pointr/nesclassicmods

I appreciate the response. There are a couple wireless options out there that look similar to the NES Classic controller that have the home button, but I'm not sure I want to go down the wireless route, I've read mixed reviews. There is also a wired version coming out at the end of February that looks promising (https://www.amazon.com/My-Arcade-GamePad-Retro-Classic-Controller/dp/B01M5IH8K5/), but I was hoping for something in the mean time.

u/henrytm82 · 8 pointsr/gaming

That makes me legitimately sad for you :( The fact that this cart is still functioning is due either to a minor miracle, or someone having replaced the battery at some point.

The good news is that you can keep your old carts going by simply replacing the batteries yourself! They run on standard flat watch-type batteries that are easy and cheap to find (though they do sometimes require a tiny bit of soldering), and you can purchase a kit for pretty cheap that will give you the proper tools to maintain your carts!

u/sfblue · 1 pointr/xboxone

https://www.amazon.com/Audio-Video-Cable-Nintendo-Gamecube-64/dp/B002GCJOC0

It's not going to be the same quality of a Nintendo brand product, but it might do the trick, and for 7 bucks+shipping doesn't break the bank if you really want to play gamecube games again.

The reviews are hit or miss though, but I'm sure spare cables that won't break the bank are all over amazon or ebay.

u/nstern2 · 2 pointsr/miniSNES

Does anyone know if this will be compatible with the snes classic too? I already have an original nes30 gamepad that I would love to use.

u/lbabinz · 1 pointr/AmiiboCanada

A few US links:

Amazon - temporarily out of stock

Gamestop - in stock right now

Target - in stock

EDIT: I'm pretty sure Gamestop and Target ship to Canada, I know that Amazon does :). Probably be a pretty penny tho given the insane exchange rate...

u/inarius2024 · 2 pointsr/miniSNES

Interested in cheap? I am. Some of the cheap ones for the NESC had lots of wireless disconnection complaints. The My Arcade GamePad did not so I got it. It's been really reliable so I'm happy with it. They make a fairly cheap My Arcade GamePad Pro version with buttons that should work on the SNESC (I think/hope). So I'll probably end up with one or two of them. The controller look and shape is completely unauthentic, but cheap will probably win for me...

u/YesDingus · 2 pointsr/n64

Shoot, I was gonna see if I could buy it from you, if you couldn't get it working. I have fixed a few N64s, and have yet to add a watermelon to my collection. Hope it works for you, nostalgia is one heck if a drug. Do you have the proper screwdrivers for disassembly? Amazon sells them very cheap. A good teardown and cleaning never hurts (as long as it all goes back together properly and without static discharge, latex or another pair of gloves recomended).

Looking at Amazon they do already have several products like controllers out there, so I don't doubt they will release this. Then again, judging only by Amazon reviews for their NES GamePad Pro the reactions are very mixed.

u/SWgeek10056 · 1 pointr/gaming

This is why I am confident PC gaming will keep on top. You can still keep the magic feeling of the controller.

u/Farores_Wind_ · 3 pointsr/nintendo

There are already extention cables available, like this one. It's still super lame to have to buy an extension for a controller.

u/Dark_Shroud · 2 pointsr/buildapc

Just a quick warning, some of that emulation can require a beefy CPU.

Ok first off does the computer currently have a VGA port on it? If so try a VGA to RCA/S-video cable. This is the cheapest test run option.

Now then as for hooking up controllers:

Could you PLEASE stop buying original Nintendo controllers and tearing them apart? Just buy third party controllers, and use those. As a classic gamer, it kills me that all of these classic controllers that are no longer in production are being torn apart. There are a finite number of NES Nintendo controllers. Why can't you just use third party ones instead for your ecigs that cost $30 to make and 20 minutes to put together that you're making $100 profits on. It's probably cheaper to buy these other controllers. Just in case you have no idea what I'm talking about, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000UCF9TA here you go.

  2. 8BitDo Mod Kit for NES Classic Controller
  3. 8BitDo NES Retro Receiver

8BitDo's DIY line are fantastic, and as best I can tell are the only way to get an original form factor wireless controller for the NES.

Nintendo also sell modern wireless NES controllers, but they have extra buttons and rails for connecting to the Switch, which I think ruins the look.

8BitDo also sell the n30, but those aren't styled like the NES controller and have extra buttons.

I bought this RDS Industries NES Classic Edition Carrying Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LYFRCWF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_yhQw26EJxHILs

I have no regrets. Everything fit perfectly and it has a hard shell

same as thinkgeek, except 20 bucks cheaper.
FYI that is not a quadcore.

It takes less than an hour to setup RetroPie. How is that a lot of work? RetroPie is also very polished.

We got bored at work one day and a bunch of us ordered some Pi's, some nice cases, and proper controllers and once they arrived it was about an hour to set up before we were all off playing games.

P.S: This was the controller: https://www.amazon.ca/Tomee-NES-Retro-Classic-Controller/dp/B00281PFQI

This looks just like the receiver for the Nyko Miniboss Bluetooth controller. Any idea if I could get that to do the same thing?

u/dexter311 · 3 pointsr/gamecollecting

Yeah that's what I mean - all I want is the controller for my Wii.

u/BrujahRage · 1 pointr/RetroPie

If you're talking about this one it looks like it could easily hold the Pi, but the controller slots are too small.

u/komentra · 1 pointr/minines

You talking about this? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LYFRCWF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_W-q8ybB0KASNP

If so I already have it. Just wasn't sure if I needed to take it out and put it in a tray or just keep it in a carry on. Don't want to be one of those people who ends up holding up the line because he doesn't know what he's doing, lol

u/Obi-Tron_Kenobi · 1 pointr/nintendo

https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-NES-Controller/dp/B01JT77EDK/

Here you go. It looked identical to the original NES controller listing.

u/monkey3 · 1 pointr/gamecollecting

Well the original controllers may be finite, but there are companies that still manufacture replacement controllers. They are not branded with Nintendo logos, but are basically the same thing.

u/TenguKaiju · 1 pointr/gaming

I got one of these extention cables.
https://www.amazon.com/My-Arcade-Extender-Cable-Gamepad-Classic/dp/B01M4QC20Y/ref=pd_sbs_63_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=M2X8RDYVFE6ZS5A5Z9YE

It's expensive for what it is, but it makes playing on the couch so much easier.

To everyone looking to Amazon for pre-orders/early release, what's being sold might not be the actual console. Check the Edition and Description before buying it.

$300 NES Classic Controller, it comes up as the default product when looking to buy the console because the console is not available yet. Don't be fooled, wait until 2pm PST when the console becomes available.

u/JCreazy · 6 pointsr/miniSNES

Amazon

Receiver

Of course this is the SNES controller that closely resembles the SNES. There are other options.

This is the cheapest option if you want the controller and receiver, especially if you get it used.

u/Luxuriousmoth1 · 1 pointr/buildapc

Looks good, but I'd suggest buying a hyper 212 and overclocking that pentium, as can be fairly CPU intensive depending on the accuracy of the emulation.

Also, why not get some USB NES/SNES controllers?

u/eltra27 · 1 pointr/gaming

Amazon sells them cheaper.. not sure what the difference is

http://www.amazon.com/Retro-Classic-Controller-Nintendo-Entertainment-System/dp/B00281PFQI

Saw some on Google for $6.

You can get them for $11 on AMazon, or get the snes controller for $4. Depending on the phone you may need an adapter and/or some programs to make it sync up. Just Google the name of the phone and 'nes/snes controller'.

This one. And here's one of 8bitdo's retro receivers. They work the same in Bluetooth adapter mode, by the way. But since I'm not seeing a Switch Pro Controller mapping in the Xinput section of the manual, I guess it doesn't work as of now.

Yea they make ones for the classics that come with a bluetooth receiver or you can buy them separately. Dongle for NES & Dongle for SNES

u/dariakus · 2 pointsr/nintendo

I can't even order a controller, and that page is up and says IN STOCK. But every time I add it to cart, it doesn't work.

u/RickVince · 4 pointsr/nintendo

Oh they made one for the NES Classic. This whole time I was searching for older Wii cables. No wonder I was having such a hard time.

Thank you.

Yup, found it. I'm guessing this could be a big seller unless Nintendo makes an official one.

u/SPDSKTR · 2 pointsr/YouShouldKnow

Yeah... I cried when I saw the price.

How does $10 sound? Amazon.com is magical like that.

u/hypermog · 1 pointr/nintendo

The item page is pretty much the pleb link. This link is how people got them. When they are in stock, Amazon will be top of the list. I learned this from the Amiibo wars. Unfortunately I then forgot about it until it was too late this time around.

u/zombie_breeder · 1 pointr/minines

I have not played with it but I have read a lot of mixed reviews. I have seen a bunch of people complaining about the signal dropping constantly during gameplay. Look through the reviews on Amazon and you will see what I mean. I almost bought the controller and passed because of the reviews.

These are the ones I have and they work fine although you need a small Phillip's head screwdriver to remove the little plastic piece on the connector that connects it to the console but no big deal. I haven't had a problem out of them.

u/PostComa · 2 pointsr/minines

Shit, glad I grabbed mine when I did, two days ago. It's $59.99 now.

u/stockcar1414 · 2 pointsr/nes

Hmmm...you might look around a bit and try to score a couple of NES Classic controllers (https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Classic-Mini-Entertainment-System-Controller/dp/B01IH5O186/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1538599636&sr=8-3&keywords=nes+classic+controller&dpID=514d3-f2vgL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch) , it seems like people are starting to find them easier now.

Then, you could just take the button pads out of those (or even the whole shell and buttons themselves too) and drop them into your regular NES controllers.

It's too bad nobody seems to make a wiimote port to NES port adapter, otherwise you could just use the actual Classic controllers on your NES (of course that would add to cost).

u/Bacon_Hammers · 2 pointsr/nintendo

I was pissed as well. So fucking pissed, that I bought every reputable alternative to the first party controller instead of paying those fucking scalpers what amounts to the same price I paid for the console itself.

And what I found is, besides buying an NES to NES classic adapter, this is the most authentic feeling controller out of the bunch. The shape is a bit different, but I very quickly got past it since the buttons feel very very nearly identical to the controller that was packed in.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MYBKI5A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Whatever you decide to go with, don't even bother with the wireless controllers. They're all garbage and have connection issues.

u/MuTrain · 1 pointr/minines

I bought one from world wide distributors on Amazon. It is a legit OEM controller. The only thing is I had to pay $59.99 for it which sucked. https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B01IH5O186/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all

u/ExogenBreach · -5 pointsr/Games

Unless you only play sidescrollers (sucks to be you), I don't see why you would base your purchase of a controller on that. The analog stick placement on the dualshock are an order of magnitude worse than the D-Pad on the 360 controller.

You can buy USB NES pads for side scrollers and shit. Or just use the keyboard.
