You might be able to reuse them, but I wouldnt bother. They just get too dirty and gunked up after a grow. They're not expensive though, 5 pots for 13 bucks is honestly probably cheaper than getting 5x 7 gallon plastic pots from the store haha.

You need to use a tray that's a bit wider than the fabric pots. Most of the water drains out the bottom like a normal pot, but some will definitely leak out the sides of the pot. So the bigger tray will catch that for you. It can make it harder to fully saturate all of the soil each watering, but I never actually had issues because of that.

Here is a picture of a plant that I LST'd using the U stakes. Sorry for the bad pic, it's all i could find haha. You can see it's super well trained and still fairly small. It wouldnt be possible to LST a plant that size so well by tying the branches to the sides of the pot :)

And I found the exact trays I use with those 7 gallon pots.

https://www.amazon.com/Hydrofarm-HGS16P-Green-Premium-Saucer/dp/B008XOSH78/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1526048509&sr=8-1&keywords=hydrofarm+plant+tray

Pricey aye? They're really good trays though. Not like the shitty ones you get when you buy a plant from the nursery. It's really robust.

Thank you for your honest reply.

Being an experienced grower, can I ask your opinion on fabric pots? I have traditional pots, but they don't have enough drainage for 20% that this sub is always recommending. I assume the fabric pots would allow that no problem. It appears you are using them. I would like to switch to them this next flower. Any recommendations on drainage? Just deep enough drainage dishes? How would I remove 20% drainage? I have been reading everything on this sub. Figured I would ask you since you possibly could answer.

Are fabric pots reusable?

Would these dishes be good? Link.

Would these fabric pots work well? Link

Thank you for your previous advice above. Any other advice you provide, will be much appreciated. I love this sub, and have learned more in 1 month being on this sub, then my previous 20 years of grow experience (off and on).

Either Mars aqua 165 watt or the ocean revive t247. The ocean revive comes with legs which is a definite plus, but it costs slightly more than the Mars Aqua.

A great insight to the mars aqua black box is this thread that has all the PAR readings you could ever want: https://www.reddit.com/r/ReefTank/comments/2whsp2/400_par_measurements_of_mars_aqua_165_watt_led/

A good way to mount the black box with out going into the ceiling is using a planter hook and going into the wall behind the tank. Something of this nature: https://www.amazon.com/GrayBunny-GB-6880B1-Planters-Lanterns-Brackets/dp/B077YQC95R/ref=sxbs_ac_d_pm?keywords=planter+hook&pd_rd_i=B077YQC95R&pd_rd_r=a4a43f76-7315-4475-aeff-0518a3e5dfa2&pd_rd_w=SPxZn&pd_rd_wg=X44cq&pf_rd_p=7a617131-5633-4cbf-b289-ab47a3a4a81c&pf_rd_r=SX0RHGA371GTV8EN5VP4&qid=1558464424&s=gateway

Good Luck!

MH for veg and HPS for flowering. If you don’t mind buying two bulbs then make sure you get some universal bulbs. Here is some helpful information. Definitely shop around though. Also, if we’re being honest, HPS lights work fine for veg. It’s all about wattage and the previous comment took care of that. Make sure you get some adjustable hangars for your light enclosures since you have a 7 foot high ceiling, it will make things easier than having to elevate your plants and lowering them as they get bigger. Oh, and we have a similar setup (6 plants indoor) and so far my two 400w HPS setup is making these babies grow great.

*Edit: It’s cheaper to just buy universal bulbs than universal ballasts.

First step, is to make sure your apartment complex/manager will allow you to grow. Most people in colorado that rent are running into that issue after legalization.

As for curing, I cure in my closet in a hanging drying rack. It's simple/easy and in a nice enclosed dark space that I can easily check on it in. Don't worry about the cats, I have 2 of them as well, the hair WILL transfer to buds from your clothing, it happens...you'll end up just picking it out when you grind up your finished product to smoke. It won't affect the cure any. Just make sure they can't sneak into your growing or curing spaces..b/c some kitties LOVE weed...I've seen the havoc a cat can cause in a grow room, it's not pretty.

Edited to add links to my drying basket things. I have both of these, the advanced nutrients has bigger spaces b/t the racks if you have larger hands (I don't), but it doesn't have as many baskets as the Gro1. IMO they're both of equal quality construction. I can usually fit the trimmed branches of an entire plant in one hanging basket. Now, drying like this you WILL smoosh one side of the larger buds, you can hang those from the clothing rod in the closet using string if you prefer. I don't sell, I only share with my friends and family so IDGAF about a smashed bud ;) And these drying racks are NOT necessary, you can dry on anything just about (flattened cardboard boxes spread out on the floor of the closet, wire shelves, hang all the bud from the clothing rod, tons of options, just showing you what I use)

I made this so I could visualize it myself. Simple and minimalist, so it seems fairly low maintenance. I like a black painted wood bench (add some pillows for your style), a black metal end table, and simple decor like potted plants and oversized lanterns. I think the curtain helps close in the area and make it look more cozy. I know this style isn't for everyone and may not exactly match your house exterior, but let me know if you like it :)

I really liked peapod on this page. SKU 25959... It wouldn't let me link the actual color. Sorry.

And I'd like these S hooks for my craft booth, if I win!

Happy Hooker!!! :)

I separate each variety with 2 bricks. I have the most amazing labels. Some are 10 years old. I print on Avery 5630 Clear easy peel address labels. I stick them to the zinc plates, and I swear, they NEVER come off - it is truly amazing. Here are the markers I use:

Hi there! So I read into the information and I can't help but wonder does she physically go out and garden or just kinda tinkers around the yard? (Maybe a shelf in the kitchen with stuff?) I have a few ideas.

She into decor at all? I know some people who just have bare minimum of things and hate decor, so I wanted to ask!

EDIT:

Item ideas:

Bird shaped watering baubles! - I have the "normal" round ones and they work great.

Mountable hardware for planter! - Unsure about the room issue, but if its something you thing she would like. Having those lil decorative touches make a garden yours! There are a few different designs available all within the same prices!

Macrame plant hanger (3tier)! Goodness the amount of these I wanted to link!! There are a ton that are sooo lovely!

u/drogonz · 21 pointsr/houseplants

Amazon! I’ll admit it’s extremely overpriced to the point where I felt guilty buying it, buuut it’s ok to treat yourself sometimes haha :) here’s the link!

u/heydoughnuts · 2 pointsr/IndoorGarden

Sure, here ya go! It’s pretty affordable and has held up all the plants wonderfully!

u/vitaestiter · 4 pointsr/interiordecorating

It's a bit more traditional, but I purchased this one from Amazon and like it a lot. It holds quite a few plants, and you can customize how it's assembled to some extent. It's decent quality and the assembly took about 10 minutes tops.

u/hikelsie · 2 pointsr/orchids

I have mine on bamboo shelves (from amazon, they are slatted). The shelves are light and easy to move around!

These keep my nice bookshelves from getting ruined and they’re easy to move outside when it’s warm. Plus it’s not terribly expensive!

If bamboo is ok this one is way cheaper:

At least this will give you some keywords to look for! :)

u/Gun5linger67 · 3 pointsr/IndoorGarden

May I recommend a square wire rack/shelf like this one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Hyper-Tough-3-Tier-Rack-Black/143377471

You can lay/hang your LED on the top shelf and keep your plants on the bottom shelves. Later on, there are clip hangers for LED and grow lights that you can suspend from the ceiling as your collection grows. Here is a link to those: https://www.amazon.com/Growsun-Adjustable-Hangers-Ratchet-Growing/dp/B01AZ85Q9Q/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1536623528&sr=8-8&keywords=light+hangers

This is what I've done since launch and it's been great. I bought two of these from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/TENSION-INDOOR-PLANT-POLE-ADJUSTABLE/dp/B008937EIG/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=floor+to+ceiling+rod+plants&qid=1557162518&s=gateway&sr=8-1) since the rods holding the plants are optional attachments though there are cheaper options out there too.

u/makdadd · 3 pointsr/succulents

I have 2 of the Ufine brand 3 tier plant shelves from Amazon for the balcony that is also full of succulents and plants. The capacity on each shelf is pretty decent and assembly was fairly easy.

I like to combine this velcro with the soft rubber garden ties ( https://www.amazon.com/32-Ft-Rubber-Coated-Purpose-Garden-Flexible/dp/B00Z7YH7GO )

You can wrap the velcro around the end of the rubber ties and then they stick to your fabric pots. I find the sturdy rubber ties make it a bit easier to adjust the tie downs

u/KrombopulosPhillip · 2 pointsr/microgrowery

Got it off amazon, it used to fold neatly into a small bag , I'm pretty sure it was round when i got it (Ca Link) , then i kinda just bent it so it was a rectangle. I think it has another 2 racks somewhere but i don't use them and it fits snugly in my makeshift veg tent that i made in the spring for my first grow, It's a little run down but it can be rebuilt

im not a fan of manifolding (its just a very specific set of training/pruning and is not worth the extra growth time) but have done lots of topping and training in those hydro bucket lids youre using. i bought rubber coated wire made for this purpose: https://www.amazon.com/32-Ft-Rubber-Coated-Purpose-Garden-Flexible/dp/B00Z7YH7GO/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1479566606&sr=8-7&keywords=soft+wire

if you strip about an inch of the rubber back so there is just bare wire, you can bend this bare piece over the edge of the bucket and then place the lid on the bucket, with the lid holding the wire pinched in between the lid and bucket with a kind of s-hook shape.

I used a bunch of paper towels, and a very low speed fan to keep the air moving, it worked, but it was obnoxious. I am wondering if something like this would work. tough to tell how fine the screen is.
