Vacuum plates are somewhat universal, but I hate them. They really diminish the suction to the vacuum. Why do you want one? If it's for leaves, an in line leaf canister is way better.

To schedule and turn on/off outdoor lights with from my phone. I couldn't find a dedicated product intended to replace standard outdoor timers, which are clunky, noisy, awkward.

It is a shame whoever put that filter in neglected to do so. That advantage of having a DE filter, is the ability to backwash in between teardowns.
No, no, no. You buy a SPX0714BA for $70.00 and all you have to do is remove 6 screws, pull the old top half off put the new one in (matching the notch) and screw it back down.
