Although be sure to get a bigger size than you normally would if you have thighs. I'm normally between a M and L but the XL are heaven and the drawstring is pretty good.

I have 3 pairs of these champion women's shorts - They never fail me in FL summer sweat or pouring rain. They shed well and are nice and light. Inner undie in case that is a pro/con for the ladies.

I also love my free lululemon speed shorts. :-D And my oiselle mini strides.

These shorts would greatly improve my way of life. Now that it's warmer, I found that have I less workout shorts than I thought. I cannot work out in pants. it's miserable. They are a bit pricy though.

I have some from Marmot and Athleta that I really like. The Athleta ones are better as far as pockets go! I've seen Champion ones on Amazon for $12 to if you're looking for something a little cheaper. Added in some links :)

I’m looking for athletic shorts that are high waisted but then flare out, kind of like these I like to wear high waisted stuff because it provides me more stomach coverage and works well with crop tops, and I don’t like having my ass out in shorts. Any recommendations?

Key takeaways are the built in brief (not bicycle style shorts), approx 3" shorts, and drawstrings. I really like the RBX and Reebok pairs I grabbed. Not as sold on the Under armour (the outer short rides up so I get chafing). Our lows have hardly dropped below 70°F in over a month, and these have been life savers. I have consistent thigh rub which is why I'd held out before, but I haven't actually had issues with the ones the fit my body shape well.

I only buy running shorts with a built-in key pocket now, I love them so much. I also had a spare key made so I don't have to pull my regular one off my ring all the time.

I really love 2 in 1 Running shorts.. You get spandex shorts for security and comfort and a loose overlay for modesty.

I’m loving these Asics shorts. A tiny pocket in front for my key fob, and that flap in the back is actually three pockets across the back. Not big enough for my phone, but certainly holds my gels for long runs!

Is there a man's version of the Oiselle Toolbelt Roga? I don't see it on their site, but has anyone seen other brands that have shorts like this, but for men?

Oh, I know how that goes. I wear this Brooks skort - it has rubbery bits on the end of the shorts so it stays put. It's kind of amazing. (Expensive, though. I've bought two pairs on sale - both under $40, which I think is worth the price. I can't even wear my cheaper $15 shorts/skorts because they make me so miserable.)

Baleaf makes some good ones. I don't know if your phone will fit but at they have pockets.

Do they have to be skin tight? I use something like this. If they get tight as you go down, I hike them up a little so the band of the shorts is near my belly button
