[New sheets] (http://www.amazon.com/MALOUF-LINENS-Cotton-Pocket-4-Piece/dp/B008WO22WA/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=LVGSIKENWTZR&coliid=I3LCWLGCXMRBQ2) would be awesome, but I love surprises too, it's up to you!
There's a great big art fair this weekend that I'd love to go to with my fiance. I'm such a sucker for art/craft fairs. But I will be working a good majority of my weekend. Nothing too fancy! What will you be up to?
Thanks for the contest!

If I were making a 9-in all-latex mattress, then I would make it from three 3-in layers. The bottom layer would be firm (33 to 39 ILD) and preferably Dunlop. The other two layers would be Talalay, and one would be soft (20 to 24 ILD) and one would be medium (25 to 32 ILD). That way I could layer them F-M-S or F-S-M to give an overall soft or medium-soft feel.

If it is important that you feel close to the latex, then you need a thin cotton stretch-knit cover, not a quilted cover with wool. Then you need a stretchy cotton padding layer to serve in place of a mattress protector (it won't be waterproof but it will slow and divert any liquids). Here is a good one:

https://www.cozypure.com/mattress-pads-toppers/organic-cotton-stretch-knit-mattress-protector-vine

Or if that is too expensive, you can just buy some cotton stretch knit fabric and attach some elastic bands to the corners. Here is the least expensive source for the fabric that I've seen:

https://www.diynaturalbedding.com/product/organic-double-knit-cotton-fabric/

Note that the price is per yard, for 90-in wide material.

Alternatively, if you can find an inexpensive source for jersey / stretch-knit cotton sheets, you could use a couple of those for a mattress pad.

As for the sheets, you definitely want something stretchy if you want to feel close to the latex. The best cotton stretch-knit sheets I have seen are from amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BTBRNB2/

I think 9 inches of latex will be enough for a 170 pound person. Most all-foam mattresses you see online are around 9 inches thick, usually with around 1-in of quilting or padding in the cover to bring it to 10 inches. Most 12-in or 13-in mattresses have an innerspring layer and a foam layer.

I don't think it is worth fretting much over natural or blended latex. There should not be a lot of difference in feel or durability. But if you are inclined to buy natural, it is possible to find it for not much more money than blended. For example:

I have one of those pillows with the cooling gel which helps me a lot
https://www.amazon.com/Classic-Brands-Reversible-Memory-Standard/dp/B00MGLOX40/ref=sr_1_7?s=bedbath&ie=UTF8&qid=1497840698&sr=1-7&keywords=cooling+pillow

The heat totally does me in too.

Also, I tend to run cold water over my wrists (underside, where you can see the veins) or hold an ice cube between my wrists for a few seconds or as long as I can. It really helps even though for some it's just an old wives tale. Also putting a cold cloth on the back of your neck, groin area, and on top of your head is supposed to help.

If you can Percale sheets tend to stay cooler longer, they tend to be a bit expensive (around $60US) but I've had mine for 5+ years and they are still my favorite sheets https://www.amazon.com/Perfect-Percale-Egyptian-Cotton-Comfortable/dp/B01LMDQ994

A strong (8000btu) window a.c. unit is helpful too, and sometimes you can find them on Craigslist.

I hope you find some relief

I agree duvet and hypoallergenic comforter. I love these duvets and they come with matching pillow cases. High end look and feel for great price.

For sheets I really like these . I have two sets of sheets and duvet that I rotate for same day turnovers. Have gotten many compliments on comfy bed.

I do sheets, light blanket, duvet-covered comforter, two soft pillows, two memory foam fill pillows, and a cute throw pillow, with towels rolled and placed at the end of the bed for hotel effect. All white so when I’m washing everything together if there’s a stain I can throw in a little fabric-safe bleach.

HAPPY CAKE DAY!

Sheets? I bought these in yellow recently and they are very comfy and wash/wrinkle release easily.

I would love these $9 Ball Mason Jars because I use them for very pretty cocktails I want to make on Easter. OR I would love BOMB entries. OR I would love to be surprised. I am not able to choose anything today!

TJ Maxx/Homegoods often have fantastic, name brand pillows for about $10 each. They're sent there because a seam is crooked or some of the batting is sticking out. Fantastic quality though.

These are the best sheets I've had, especially for their price. Great quality, super soft. Target has really nice high thread count cotton sheets, but they're 2-3x the cost and honestly, I like these better.

u/kopson · 2 pointsr/BDSMcommunity

I think Amazon has a great selection of sex & BDSM stuff, but the website makes it hard to find the good stuff. I'm convinced it's designed to lure buyers to buy specific products from certain vendors, so window shopping might be difficult and lead the buyer to cheaper products.

The way I shop on amazon for kinky stuff, is I find a really good pro domme's Amazon wishlist and go from there. Seriously, you find some REAL gems that amazon never suggests (or even shows up in feed).

That's how I discovered this. With the rest, this isn't a bad crop IMHO and this guy is fun and simple.

I went with these and i frickin love them. They look awesome. I look awesome. We all look awesome. They also feel awesome.

u/DonNHillary4-20-2017 · 3 pointsr/personalfinance

Definitely, below I'll add in the links to the sheets I buy as well as the comforter.

Sorry, can't help you with shoes though, I'm always afraid to buy them online. I go to a small local place that's insanely expensive but also super high quality, so well worth it.

Sheets = Solid Taupe 450 Thread Count Queen Size Sheet Set, 100% Cotton Deep Pocket Bed Sheets 450TC. at around $50

Insanely warm blanket, maybe too warm for most = MARRIKAS REVERSIBLE Microfiber Down Alternative KING Comforter IVORY AND TAUPE at around $90

Protip, if you don't already use camelcamelcamel.com, it will help a lot. You can catch when the price drops a TON.

If you want some good sheets for cheaper, amazon has some microfiber sheets
that are pretty great - I've had them for a year or more and they've held up well. Best cheap sheets I've had, my girlfriend likes them too.

Happy Cake Day!

I'd love this if I win

As for sheets, I've had these on my wish list for a while. I think they are a great deal for the thread count (1500) and come in a variety of colors!

Thanks for the contest!

Pinzon has a nice selection of some well priced sheets that are pretty highly rated. I like a sateen sheet. I like the feel of them and I love how they wear. I have some Pinzon flannel sheets that are holding up well.

u/kittenmommy · 5 pointsr/niceguys

You could grow your own. As an alternative, you could get some that's already prepared. There's just no excuse to be without eggplant - heck, even your dog should have one! Oh, and be sure your hair is cut, styled, and colored nicely.

Once you've lured m'lady home, be sure to have the right kitchen accessories and the right sheets on your bed (you might want to fortify yourself before any "bedtime activities", though!).

I hope this comment hasn't stressed you out a lot. As you can see, it's pretty easy to get all the eggplant you might need to impress any m'lady out there!

u/HeyThereBlackbird · 1 pointr/assholedesign

I only use percale cotton for sheets, I like them crisp, I like them cool and I need them to stand up to washing because I can’t stand dirty sheets.

The best reasonably priced sheets on amazon are the Eddie Bauer percale cotton sheets (with Poppy and Fritz being second).

I got the EB ones for $45 for king size. They have canoes on them, but they are excellent quality. The price changes frequently, and there’s a few different patterns, but they are seriously good sheets. I ended up getting a second set I liked them so much.

I'm not sure where you live, but if you let me know - I can recommend some stores.

General advice, ignore most of the marketing - thread count and all that is non-standardized and not very helpful. You want cotton sheets that feel durable and well made, but that are soft. You spend every night on these, they better be comfy. As cotton sheets age, the fibers will relax and soften even more. More expensive sheets, like egyptian cotton, are like good leather, with time they wear in and will last a while. Some quick suggestions for the low priced ones are:

u/dogsent · 2 pointsr/AskReddit

A satin sheet is fun. We just use the top sheet. Satin is slippery. It feels like there is lubrication, without being messy.

These are very inexpensive, but a real bargain for the price. Wash before using, and only use the top sheet. Great for rubbing and playing.

u/Knugles · 1 pointr/malelivingspace

So I've been looking around and I was thinking these sheets would look great. What color comforter do you think would look good with them? I like the idea of either a khaki or maybe an olive green if that would look good.
