I've got Ortlieb Panniers. Somewhat pricey but have had them 3 yrs now and still going strong. A few minor repairs needed. But still 100% waterproof which is a must for london. I have no concern when it comes to rain with these.

Rack wise it's pretty basic. Topeak Explorer Tubular Rack Disc Brake version with spring flap. Pretty close to that. Not sure I have the spring flap. I have bungy cords instead

To add onto what's already been said, Google your area and see if you can find any club programs to get some coaching. For example, many clubs near me offer lessons to juniors 1 night of the week, usually Friday. I'm in NJ, but I assume this isn't something special to here.

If you can, try to play some sand/grass over the summer. It'll get you actual game touches, and since it's doubles, you get to work on a lot of skills simultaneously, unlike indoors. Personally, I prefer sand, it's easier on the body when diving for me. The drawback is that you're typically not as explosive on sand as grass or indoors.

As for a ball, this is my favorite

PS - I'm hoping for Season 4 in Fall 18, such a good show

I personally like a backpack, but for you I'd go with a duffel/gym bag. Nike has some pretty good ones, and I always advocate for Mizuno because they're my own favorite brand.

My old club uses this duffel: https://www.amazon.com/Mizuno-Bolt-Duffle-Grey-Black/dp/B01449G7WC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1475066243&sr=8-2&keywords=Mizuno+duffel+bag

Hey thank you!

So no, it’s not... you’re totally going to laugh at me but check this out..

I actually used the strap that came with this . I went OTB and fractured my foot in Feb. so I ordered this just to give me added stability for a few months. I never used it. (Luckily I didn’t need it).

However I was pondering the same thing as you and I just so happened to think of the strap. It totally worked! I could pull it tight and keep it snug. Would def call it ghetto, but hey.. it works great lol.

If you're looking for something for grass and portable, I bought a Park and Sun Classic net and it's pretty good. It's relatively easy to set up once you get the instructions right and hasn't seemed to sag at all. I use it mainly to practice spikes on so it gets banged on and holds up well. I will eventually start a meetup group for grass using it. I only wish it the bottom was more taught - you won't recover any balls that hit/roll off the net with this one.

I'd be willing to bet you're actually referring to the "pro touch" that was the standard in men's ncaa before the "flistatic" took over. The "super touch" was - and still is - the ball used by women's ncaa. They look similar but the pro touch has less padding and as such stings a little more on receive and requires adjusting if you go for an overhead pass / set if you're accustomed to more padding (the reverse is true when going back to the super touch)

I have really weak ankles as well. That + being overweight for 18 years and never building up certain muscles means that I am really prone to ankle rolls.

Some things that have helped me:

-I have these ankle braces that I wear when I played rugby, am rock climbing, or doing rocky hikes. I always bring them backpacking with me although I don't usually wear them. Ankle braces are good for stabilization as you build up muscles but I wouldn't wear them all the time - especially for things like walking - because it makes your ankle reliant on the brace and it never builds up the necessary muscles.

-Spend a lot of time on your feet. You don't have to be running but things like walking and challenging your foot to stabilize itself (walking on sand, grass etc) will make your ankle stronger and stronger

-I went to physical therapy but stopped because $30 a session was too much for me. But take those exercises and do them on your own time. Use a bosu ball or couch cushion and just stand on it with one foot. This is an ankle routine specifically for runners that I've been doing

-Go to a running store or podiatrist and tell them about your pain in flat shoes. The podiatrist gave me a pair of inserts that I wore in my running shoes for the first two years or so.

The good news is that your body adapts and will build the necessary muscles the more you use it! My ankle is so much stronger compared to when I first started running. When you almost roll your ankle it's terrifying but those are actually the times your ankle really learns to restabilize itself. You don't have to force it but things like balancing or unstable terrain can be really good to build up those muscles...just be careful!

In regards to running, find a program and do it. Don't push your body too hard. If you haven't been running consistently as your body has been growing then it's new (and stressful) for your body - give it time to catch up!

I've used a D43 ( https://www.amazon.com/Mikasa-D43-Olympic-Replica-Volleyball/dp/B003WCOMMU/ref=sr_1_12?s=team-sports&ie=UTF8&qid=1519651869&sr=1-12&keywords=volleyball ) for over a year now just volleying and passing against brick walls and stuff and it is perfectly fine, for the price it's better quality than you'd expect and it's pretty durable.

u/tuckerific · 1 pointr/racquetball

They don't hold up, at all, on your knees. The honeycomb pattern tears almost instantly with any sort of sliding action across a wood floor.

The compression quality is quite good though.

I wear the viper sleeve under a Mizuno kneepad with great success.

I like the style you linked. G-Form is another low-pro option that is nice. I find myself using these more often because they are easy on/off but still comfortable.

edit: Sorry, reread and noticed you probably were asking about a net system, not a net. We have an old Senoh (Sports Imports) as that was the top of the line at the time. Not sure about now.

We ordered two nets last year from a no-name brand. The top cable snapped the first time we put it up.

I looked earlier this season for nets on Amazon. The only one I could find was this one from Champion Sports:

https://www.amazon.com/Champion-Sports-Official-Olympic-Volleyball/dp/B000LY0NLG/ref=sr_1_8?s=sports-and-fitness&ie=UTF8&qid=1473186910&sr=1-8&keywords=volleyball+nets

Note that it ships in 1-3 months.

We wound up ordering Senoh net for $400. Yeah, ouch.

Keep the ball you have for outdoors.

Everyone who I played with loves the HS game balls since they feel the best link

But those balls don't last at all. If you're looking for longevity, get a composite ball link No one really had a problem with these since teams practice with them all the time.

the international balls were never popular wherever I played

the college balls were okay too.

u/ManonRheaume91 · 3 pointsr/Real_parents

I run warm and will do the same thing. I have a light wind breaker and prefer to layer under that than get a thick coat. The cold is.. I don't know.. invigorating to an extent. I prefer colder weather.

I like compression gear and have been getting these pants off of Amazon. If you order at size you'll have some compression. Order up if you don't want compression. I like them for the pockets. They've held up well. They aren't see though as long as you don't order too far down.

RURING Women's High Waist Yoga Pants Tummy Control 4 Way Stretch Running Pants Workout Leggings, X001b, Large https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0792KB89K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_4qL6Bb3BFM85Q

I want to try these but I want pockets.. gotta be able to carry my phone, gloves, and ear buds.

Tough Mode Womens 3" Compression WOD Athletic Shorts Yoga Volleyball Crossfit Running MMA Active Booty Black Red Blue Green https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06ZYFCZBR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_ysL6BbJSBZYJE

Shirts.. summer anything racerback that is relatively loose. Winter is just a basic long sleeve shirt. Or a tshirt if it isn't that cold. The racerbacks were just cheap tanks from Walmart.

My bigger deal is bottoms. They have to fit the junk in the trunk and the legs.

u/LordOfThePayso · 3 pointsr/MuayThai

I've never trained muay thai in shoes. I would not want to take a kick from someone wearing shoes either to be honest.

At my gym shoes are worn only for wrestling and that's optional.

You could get a pair of ankle supports like these maybe?

u/444775 · 2 pointsr/Purebarre

I know I personally can keep going with PB because it's so low impact on the joints, but I honestly never considered that other people in my class might also need low impact exercise too! Bunch of bad knees and bum hips :) I looked around and I think these are the donuts we use in my studio - if they're the same brand then I can attest they are nice and dense https://www.amazon.com/dod-fitness-Knee-Donuts-kneeling/dp/B00ANU7N1G/ref=lp_8063115011_1_1?srs=8063115011&ie=UTF8&qid=1543505841&sr=8-1

u/delila00 · 5 pointsr/orangetheory

I sweat a lot too and I always had issues with finding the perfect fitting head band. I am an Amazon shopper myself so I always felt like it was hit or miss on finding the right size head band...that is until I found the "head tie headband".

Head Tie & Sports Headband - Keep Sweat & Hair Out of Your Face - Ideal for Running, Working Out, Tennis, Karate, Athletics & Pirates. Performance Stretch & Moisture Wicking https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G4SM2M0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_DGZLBbZXT20GS

Now I just find myself staring in the mirror, mentally preparing for the class by tying on my headband while walking on the treadmill.... Kinda of corny but I am able to place the band where I want and make it as tight as I need and it keeps the sweat at bay.

u/breakingbeauty · 3 pointsr/hockeyplayers

for me it did after i changed my lacing:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D671VgevDcg&t=131s

you can immediately feel the difference. while i was recovering, i used a gel pad:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073BZJQXJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

but after recovering after a few weeks- i don't need the pad anymore.

also i skip an eyelet near the top of my lacing

u/rastafarian_eggplant · 3 pointsr/running

It's been really hot this summer and I got sick of wiping sweat from my face while running. I bought a head tie and it's been a blessing. Keeps the sweat out of my eyes without making the rest of my head overheat.
