Reddit mentions: The best varsity jackets for men

I’m looking for a warm jacket that would look good over a hoodie with khakis and possibly navy jeans. Price range would be around 100$ but flexible. I looked at multiple Harrington jackets but couldn’t find one that wasn’t either super expensive or one that I thought would look good. Any help is super appreciated.

I’m not sure about the quality of this because there’s not many reviews and it’s a cheap price but it’s the kind of look I’m looking for.

I picked up a Calvin Klein Flight Bomber Jacket for about $30 on Ebay about a week or so ago. It seems to run a bit big, I'm a large but their medium fits just fine, but the quality seems pretty good to me. The coat is a bit thicker than it initially looks. I'd definitely recommend it for $50 or under.

The only other budget bomber that I like was the Amazon Bomber Jacket, but they have some pretty meh reviews.

Yay! I finally decided who I'm going to be this year: Mira from Donut County. Trying to convince my SO to be BK. We host a party every year but Halloween is on a Wednesday so I can't decide if I want to have the party the weekend before or after.

I already have white sneakers and just bought some black jeans from the thrift store to rip holes in. I'm going to dye an old white shirt pink and buy this varsity jacket and a black headband like this (or I might make one from scrap fabric).

The final touch is the donut patch on the back of her jacket! I already do embroidery so I'm going to make my own. And I want everyone to play this game so people get what my costume is haha

I'm looking for a white mid heavy jacket I can wear until winter gets too cold around here. Id like a recommendation under $100. I have a few questions about jackets:

1. Does anyone know how the alpha industries M-59 fishtail fits? I'm usually a Medium in men's but the fit looks kind of boxy in pictures I've seen. Other black fishtail parka suggestions are welcome.
   
   
2. Looking for a rain jacket/something waterproof but I don't like Rains or Patagonia Torrentshell.
   
   
3. Looking for a black varsity jacket with black leather sleeves. Found this and this but the quality is obviously cheap. I'm looking for something with a slightly better quality but I'm not spending $300 on a varsity jacket. Suggestions welcome.

First and foremost, I've kind of been wanting a black varsity jacket for some monochrome fits. Almost pulled the trigger on this yesterday, but then I stumbled upon this. $40 for one is really nice but it makes me worried about the quality. Thoughts?

Then I've been wanting an Everlane rucksack for travel (my other big hobby) and just everyday use. Anyone have experience with these?

For the above mentioned monochrome fits, I've been needing (wanting?) some black shoes that aren't canvas, specifically the Vans or Fred Perrys I have. How would these work?

And finally, I've been really wanting an elongated, uneven shirt for said fits. Voidthebrand makes some I really like. And while I am willing to spend that much on a t-shirt, they only have a size large in the one I linked which is my favorite. I'm normally between a medium-large on t-shirts, but these are already oversized, so I'm almost certain a large would be too big. I'm just not sure when they restock, and how hard it would be to cop one in a medium when they do restock. So, basically, should I risk a large in this? If not, anyone know of any similar shirts for a similar price? Cheaper would be nice too.

Last week, one of the special needs kids I fostered showed up on my doorstep. He's aged out and had a really hard time this year. We immediately started trying to get things sorted, and I just got a call 5 minutes ago that he can still register for classes at the local community college.

I can't wait until he gets home to tell him!

Anyone know where I can find a purple varsity jacket for under $80? Doesn't have to be a super nice jacket. just something I can wear and won't fall apart on me and fade colors real quickly.

Lastly, there is a cosplayer named Zlurpo on Therpf who is planning on making a run of the jacket. This will likely be the most accurate replica that you can come by, and is the one that I plan on buying. The downsides are that it will be about $140 and won't be produced for several months.

I bought this jacket on Amazon. It fits well, I got the small. The only thing is, the back is not covered in blue like the front.

It looks like they put patches/iron-ons onto this jacket.

It'd likely be easier (and probably cheaper) to order custom iron-ons and add them to the jacket.

You're looking for a varsity jacket and an oversized iron-on patch.

I doubt you'll find the Red X patch, so if you dig around on etsy, there are people who can do custom embroidery for a large patch (the machines are mostly digital, which is cool) and you can add an iron-on patch to it.
