I think for specifically what you're looking for, a custom piece from etsy will probably be the best bet. HOWEVER...I'll share an anecdote: my FH decided he wanted a tungsten ring, so we went shopping at a jeweler. The clerk helping us kept trying to sell us gold or platinum, and when we told him we were firmly decided on Tungsten, he confided that we should buy through Amazon, since it was the exact same thing for 1/10th of the price, and that the owner of the store even sometimes ordered from Amazon when his supplier didn't come through in time, and then would just mark up the tungsten a crap ton.

So, I went on Amazon and sure enough I found the exact ring FH and I had looked at for an insanely lower price. I bought it, and then saw the exact same style in titanium. Since they were so inexpensive and Amazon is so awesome, I decided to order both and let my FH try them on and decide which he liked best, with the intent to return the other(s) (but of course, did I follow through? No. FH has six band options sitting in my house now, lol).

Anyway, FH tried the tungsten on one hand and the titanium on the other, and surprised us both after a few hours saying he liked the titanium better. SO, it might not be a bad idea to order a titanium ring on Amazon if you can find one cheap and letting your FH compare the feel/weight of the rings!

Anyway, looking at your specific search... as far as tungsten rings with blue AND texturing, I found:

  • this: which seems to have that "jewelry store" pricing)

  • this and this: which both have blue on the outside, but one of your pictures did, so I thought maaaayyybe?

  • this one: which is the same as the last one, but from Walmart instead

  • this one:
blue AND hammered on the outside

  • this option: on Amazon, kind of funky and a little different from your photos, but cool and in the general family of blue and textured

  • this one: another Amazon and looks like an inverted version of the last one in your gallery

  • this one: which looks like a different version of the last one, also Amazon

  • and this one: which is a little different on the outside but I've bought from this seller before and it's good quality and the brushing is a cool finish.

We bought in to it for about six minutes.

"How much for that wonderful ring?"

"More than you paid for your car, good luck starting a life together!"

It was just after Valentimes day, so they had this wonderful man made ruby ring that she fell in love with.

In the same visit I was looking at steel rings. Found one I loved, and ordered it on Amazon.com for 10% of what they wanted.

At the end of the day, we got burritos and beers and spent less than $100 on our rings. And we love them.

EDIT: I thought I would leave an example

This is my wedding band and it's perfect. The best part was we found it here on Amazon. We looked for a tungsten men's band at jewelry shops and they were several hundreds (some thousands) of dollars. No thanks! I got sized in a shop, picked one from Amazon for under 20 dollars and showed it to my wife. We've been married for 3 years and it still looks and fits great! My little tip to couples getting married is to save on men's bands by buying from Amazon. Hope this helps someone!

u/danielleh93 · 2 pointsr/weddingplanning

It actually is from Amazon. $20 and no different than any of the $200 ones in jewelry stores. It's heavy which my FH likes and seems to be of great quality. Even if we have to replace it in a few years, we don't mind being out the $20.

Link if interested. You can see all the great reviews it has too 😊

It is my understanding that a woman wears her engagement ring and wedding band as a set. Sometimes women get them put together into a single ring. Men usually just wear the wedding band.

Thinking about things like everyday wear and ring/stone toughness are things you should look into when purchasing jewelry. Cheap materials will wear quickly and look worn. However, no need to sell the farm for durable and attractive rings.

I think the importance of rings are really up to the couple. For my husband and I, they were of low importance. We wanted to exchange them in our ceremony but we don't wear them daily.
If cost is a concern, know that there are plenty of cheap alternatives.
This is my engagement ring. He spent less than $500 on it and I love it! Our saving went to a down payment on a house.
This is my wedding band (but I don't wear it often... so grain of salt with that one). However, if you want something a little more durable, this probably won't break the bank.
And this is my husband's wedding band.

Altogether, including the fact that I have two of each of our band, we spent $510 on rings.

Also if either you or your fiancée have a job that involves heavy machinery or power tools, de-gloving is a real concern with ring wearers so rings might be a no go altogether.

u/MarySuz · 4 pointsr/asexuality

Here you go, classic ring! Make sure to check if there's a cheaper model, I remember seeing the exact same ring model for 10$

Edit: I forgot the existence of CAD and USD. xD

I don't know the price you're seeing with this link, disregard my comment if you see the price in USD haha.

u/DeeLite04 · 4 pointsr/weddingplanning

My husband bought his on Amazon. Not sure of the seller but as soon as he lets me know I'll get back to you. I know he only paid $25 and it looks awesome.

Edit: here's the seller: King Will BASIC Men's 8mm Classic High Polished Comfort Fit Domed Tungsten Metal Ring Wedding Band(10.5) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010UPHPWA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_V9nHzbPB2AJ11

u/possessedplum · 5 pointsr/weddingplanning

Ooh I bought a similar almost identical ring for my fiancé (for Valentine’s Day to get him used to wearing a ring lol) on Amazon for $14.99. It’s nice and doesn’t turn his finger green so it was actually a pretty good deal and looks a lot like the $200+ ones on Etsy.

u/GinDeMint · 1 pointr/Frugal

I'm also shopping for my wedding band, but I'm pretty sure I will get a titanium or tungsten ring. My brother-in-law has this one (he paid the full $100 at a store) and it's a nice, good-looking, scratch-proof ring.

It's not too unusual to replace your wedding ring, upgrade them over time, or have different ones for different occasions. Given pricing, a lifetime of tungsten rings wouldn't come close to a gold ring in price.

u/ashesarise · 2 pointsr/FidgetSpinners

Brilliant! I HATE my kong spinner. I'm soooo going to try this. I've been wondering what to do with that thing for months. I've always wanted to try to incorporate gemstone into a spinner. Maybe

I think your tungsten one is my favorite. The copper one second to the left looks pretty neat as well.

By press fitted do you mean you used a press fitting tool, or were your hands sufficient?

Does this look doable? https://www.amazon.com/King-Will-Tungsten-Carbide-Comfort/dp/B00LEBQ94K/ref=cts_je_3_vtp?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=2897711222&pf_rd_r=EMV516N45FWVX45W2JJM&pd_rd_wg=LKDBh&pf_rd_s=desktop-detail-softlines&pf_rd_t=40701&pd_rd_i=B00LEBQSV4&pd_rd_w=fawng&pf_rd_i=desktop-detail-softlines&pd_rd_r=EMV516N45FWVX45W2JJM&_encoding=UTF8&th=1&psc=1

u/KershawsBabyMama · 9 pointsr/DIY

I'm pretty sure they're referring to a Tungsten Carbide Ring. They're popular because they're pretty cool material, are ultra hard, don't scratch, and are cheap as shit and non-ostentatious (just like many husbands...)

u/StrongishOpinion · 17 pointsr/financialindependence

Side note. It does require you & your SO to be on the same page for FI, but my wife and I wear rings like this (well, hers isn't black.. I'm a man, so I like black):

https://smile.amazon.com/King-Will-Wedding-Tungsten-Polished/dp/B00IWOMVLW/

We both agreed that we thought they looked just fine, and it feels like we're cheating the system by spending $20 on a ring. What's great is if I take it off to exercise & mistakenly lose it.. I get a new one for $20 with free 2 day shipping.

u/Loveinfriends · 2 pointsr/weddingplanning

My favorite purchase from Amazon is the bridesmaid dresses, in burgundy and grey: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KO74O7I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_qDtTzbAJ564F6

As well as the bridesmaid's shoes in ivory: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KW27IP6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_QEtTzbKXSVJRT

My flower girl, ring bearer, and cord bearer's dresses, in ivory, gray, and burgundy: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LY7DLLF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_EFtTzbNS4F9EG

My ring: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SYDODZI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_PGtTzbW071NX6

FH's ring: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07232PB2G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_-ItTzb7WW9SR2

Scrabble tile racks for name place cards (I ordered the scrabble tiles themselves from AliExpress to save $60), flower petals, tealights electric candles, chalk pens, gifts for ushers (Fifty shades of chicken cookbook, the league if regrettable superheroes comic book, metal polyhedral dice).

Lastly, we are using Amazon for our registry. We just received our first gift the weekend. It's a little bonsai tree!

u/ohnoitsthem · 1 pointr/NonBinary

My husband and I decided to forego traditional rings entirely, and got tungsten spinner rings with a band you can rotate. I've always loved worry rings like that, he thought it was a neat idea, and we both found something similar we liked. I went for a thinner one that reads neutral to feminine, he went for an 8mm one that was more masculine.

u/uabeng · 1 pointr/personalfinance

FYI - don't get screwed on the bands like I did. I thought I did my research on bands, especially men's. My friend bought this Tungsten ring from Amazon while I bought my tungsten ring from the jeweler. He paid around ~$15 for his and I paid a little over $100 for mine. Rings are identical.

u/adrun · 12 pointsr/weddingplanning

My plan for when I don't want to wear my engagement ring is to have a completely separate, completely plain spare band. I only plan to wear it for things like the gym, doing housework, or any other time my rings might get damaged. It will just be something super cheap like this. Enough to be a placeholder symbol of my marriage, without being at all sentimental for when I inevitably scratch/smash/lose it or drop it under a lawn mower.

u/WellTimedPoop · 1 pointr/pittsburgh

I've never been to McFadden's so I definitely didn't find it, but Tungsten rings are cheap (in price, not quality. My wedding band is Tungsten and I love it. I'm not calling your SO cheap), so you could always just order a new one if you can't find yours.

u/kellyfish22 · 1 pointr/weddingplanning

I'm not sure yet what we're doing with mine. FH wants to get the matching band, but I am okay with something else.

But with his, we bought this: http://www.amazon.com/Tungsten-Carbide-Wedding-Comfort-Finish/dp/B005CD7QNE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411652047&sr=8-1&keywords=mens+wedding+band
I know it sounds CRAZY, but it is the exact same material as a jewelry store. Without paying the name brand price. We bought it early and to test and he LOVES it. It's weighted and doesn't scratch. We couldn't believe it! We believe the ring is more of a symbol than anything so we definitely want something simple. Read the reviews on amazon if you don't believe me! :)

u/FlightofaPhoenix · 2 pointsr/asexuality

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016EVR14G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 That's the one I got- it's not really solid black, more like dark gray, but it looks really nice.

u/Yahooyellow · 1 pointr/financialindependence

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LEBG328/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

thats the one I got, real nice heft to it, but they have tons of them and they come with a nice box

u/sundowntg · 1 pointr/malefashionadvice

This tungsten band

It's nice and heavy, and identical to the one from the jewelrey store that was $300. It's especially important since I always am misplacing it.

u/crimelabguy · 4 pointsr/shutupandtakemymoney

I got my wedding ring off of amazon for $20. I feel cheap now. Here it is. That said, I saved a ton of money.

u/Gtownbadass · 1 pointr/AdviceAnimals

Or you could buy three rings like I have so far. King Will Men's 8mm Tungsten Carbide Ring Polished Beveled Edge Matte Brushed Wedding Band (9) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LEBG328/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_GIKlybM95CRS5

u/TheLawIsi · 6 pointsr/wedding

My husband got this one after losing our 300$ Zales one at applebees and its the exact same in every way. I really suggest buying mens rings for cheap on amazon if you don't want gold there all the same.
here are some other common ones I've seen
light colored

darker finish

blue fibers

wood in the middle for the country folk

patterns dark

light

black carbon fiber

Also you could buy stainless steal but its not as strong and not as heavy and my husband says he likes the weight of his ring so he can actually feel that its still on his finger

u/my-name-is-erin · 1 pointr/Frugal

My husband has a severe metal allergy so I got him a tungsten ring . I paid $24.00 for it from Amazon. We didn't know if the tungsten would really be hypoallergenic, that's why I didn't want to spend a lot of money. He only wears it occasionally because of his job, but it hasn't caused any allergic reactions. So if you are sensitive to metal this is a good alternative to gold or silver.

u/ediblesprysky · 65 pointsr/LifeProTips

Not resale value; they're just marked up. $20 on Amazon vs $240 on Blue Nile.
