I have a regular size bathtub but I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/Munchkin-Soak-Baby-White-Months/dp/B07L4DHQY5

It might not be ideal for a floppy newborn but our sink isn't really appropriately sized for a tub either and I like that I can put this one on the counter and it's not too big, it's deep enough to keep baby submerged in warm water and is easy to store.

This is great. Comes with an infant insert in a bundle too.

We're in a one bedroom here too (about 800sqft). Space saving ideas:

Hanging closet organizer if you need more storage

Puj Tub!! We don't have room for those huge plastic tubs

Bouncer plus swing combo, instead of needing both pieces

We aren't getting a changing table, just adding a changing pad to the top of our dresser.
We got that over-the-toilet storage for the new towels and products that will be in our bathroom. Plus, added a hook to hang the Puj Tub to dry flat.

Try getting the tub seats for infants, it prevents this

I know this is random but I have a newborn as well and the first few times we gave him a bath, he cried bloody murder. Our friend saw a picture my wife posted of him in the bath, crying of course, and she suggested buying a towel that goes on their chest to keep them warm so we bought it. He now loves bath time. Just something to consider if your newborn isn’t the best at bath time!

Here is the one we have!

I just hoard the baby towels from my local thrift store. (between .50$ and 1$ each) Most of them are synthetic fleece (think polar) but sometime they also got these (I have no idea how you call those). I make double layers and it works like a charm to absorb urine. Starts smelling after 5-6 days with two rats in the cage. 3-4 days with 4. I wash the ones that survives (the towels not the rats). They usually last ~3 weeks and then I cut whats left into tiny pieces for nesting. For the poop they use their litter 95% of the time. I just put a box and fill it with aspen bedding. I change the bedding whenever I change the blankets but it literally never smells.

How about one of those tub partitions? There's this one on Amazon, though it has some mixed reviews. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N7T6THZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_w9B6CbS4DEZXJ

Nothing even remotely special. Hudson Baby Bamboo Hooded Bath Towel and Washcloth, Purple Owl except a 6 pack I think (although we have this towel too)

They've held up well after three years of getting washed at LEAST once a week. Not soft anymore but not fraying and still plenty absorbent!

I came across this lobster towel in one of my many internet forays; if you don't already know about it, you probably should.

We have the blooming bath right now and I really like it for bathing little one in the sink. But I'm not really fond of the maintenance. I dislike having to wash it after each use. So we also have a basic baby bath like the first years one but I hate that it doesn't hold much water. We are planning to buy this one now that little one is nearly five months. It also works for littler babies.
