Hey /u/awesomesauce1492
Pretty cool! If you wanna use more of it, why don't you make a towel ladder for the bathroom? Something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IA8EMDA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_6MqdzbD8A85GZ
You'd get to see it every day, it'd look nice, and still be useful
Edit: adding links
We have found the adjustable metal can organizers are great because they have a front lip. The shower organizer listed above was a great addition.
Over door hooks are incredibly useful, our bedroom has a sliding door, but the thin over door hooks I found at Bed Bath and Beyond fit in the gap between the rollers.
I need to figure out the huge under bed space, I am currently wasting a ton of space there. I will try to find links to the hooks and can organizer. The items listed above can be found on Amazon using the text I posted.

Wow that last link, the tension pole, seems like it could be a good cheap solution!
What about something like a floor to ceiling tension rod?
http://www.amazon.com/Manfrotto-170-Spring-Loaded-Ceiling/dp/B001M4HUGA
(I'm guessing you'd be able to find or jury rig something less expensive than that particular item.)
A floor to ceiling rod seems like it'd be an even more stable non-permanent solution than the tripod solutions people have been talking about, with the advantage of having a smaller, almost non-existent footprint.
edit: Here's a cheap floor to ceiling shower caddy pole that might do the trick:
http://www.amazon.com/Zenna-7013W-Behind--Tension-Corner/dp/B004EPXKLS/
It all started when I needed some new shelves for my books and antiques. They needed to be large, have the right look and not be incredibly expensive. We ended up with three World Market library inspired metal and wood shelves. (Full story involves shipping damage and hurricane flooding as well). Each comes with a light ladder that hooks on to a bar at the front. We only use one, mostly for esthetics. So I had the other two just hanging around taking up space.
One day, I was brainstorming shoe tower options and realized I had the ladders. Two pieces of scrap wood and 4 screws later I had a shoe rack.
To recreate this you need to search on Amazon for things like "decorative", "rustic", or "towel" ladder. Need to find something with round rungs. This one looks pretty good https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K86W8XF
I'd put wooden dowels in the legs to hold the screws if I used a pair of those. If you are handy at all should be a snap to put together if you find the right ladders.
I would recommend floor to ceiling tension poles. These have almost no footprint so they are perfect for maximizing room space

And then these to secure the lighthouses to the pole

Is free standing a requirement? I use bathroom towel racks with clip-on camera mounts.

My shower and bathroom are tiny! I got a shower stool but also considered getting a small folding one, like this
To solve the height issue, I put in a suction mount low on the wall, similar to this
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004EPXKLS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought two of these per someone's recommendation way back and they have served me well. Good if you have a low enough ceiling. Sturdy enough to keep the lighthouses stationary. The only con is that the lighthouse clips have rubber pads which seem to chemically react to the plastic on the arms of this product (it looks almost melted together after a couple years now. Doesn't detract from function though.
I'm thinking there has to be an adapter out there to install a regular shower head. Something like this maybe?

I got these along with these. Haven't gotten them or the Vive yet so I can't speak to how well it works, but it should do the job. Two of these with two clamps were $56, and less space than a tripod.
> You can't get your whole body wet at the same time - one side of you is always chilly
Get ye one of these and also one of these and you'll be so happy!
This too. You're welcome.
And this if you don't shower alone.
You could have ordered this or something similar.
Right Here
EDIT: Definitely not a strobe light, my made-up disorder keeps me from being able to distinguish things
Aussie checking in. I have a less industrial version of what the guys here are suggesting:
http://i.imgur.com/5d0j8Rp.jpg
It's a tension pole from a shower shelving system, spring loaded so it presses between the floor and ceiling. 6 months in and the setup has been rock solid (im lucky enough to have a high cupboard with 240V AC inside of it on the other side of the room). Bought on amazon, you just gotta find an item they will ship internationally. Here's the link for the one i purchased:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004EPXKLS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Alternatively you can hit up the hardware, some terms to help you get your google fu on: contractors poles, drywall poles, tension poles.
You'll also need a suitable clamp. It takes a standard 1/4-20 camera mount.
Hi again. I'm nervous that if I order, say, one of these trim kits, that the valves/stem of the existing work won't fit them. There seems to be tons of different types of valve systems (such as this one, recommended for that Kohler you linked) and I'm worried that unless I get an (ugly and cheap) Pfister, I'll go to put the trim on and it won't fit on the valves!
Is this a legit concern? If no why?
