Original recipe is here.
My version with slight changes:
2 cups white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup corn syrup - can sub up to 1/3 with honey for a flavor twist
1 cup evaporated milk
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 cup butter
Line a a 12x15" sheet pan (thinner candies, as in photo) or 13x9" cake pan (thicker candies) with parchment paper, leaving a little sticking out as handles.
In a large, heavy pot combine sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, evaporated milk, whipping cream, and butter. Throw everything in there over medium heat, stirring gently until sugars are dissolved and butter melted.
Attach a candy thermometer. Heat the caramel - gently stirring the whole time - to 248 degrees F - just short of the firm ball stage. This can take up to 1 hour, especially for a double batch. As the water cooks off and the sugar caramelizes, mixture will easily triple in size. It's like napalm. Use a big pot.
At 248 degrees remove the pan from the heat, remove the candy thermometer, and stir the mixture a few times.
Pour carefully into prepared pan and, optionally, sprinkle lightly with coarse salt.
Let caramel cool and set in pan 24 hours; 48 is better. Cover loosely but allow air to circulate.
Lift caramel out of the pan, remove parchment paper, and use a pizza cutter to cut into bite sized pieces. I get about 100 per batch.
Wrap in wax paper squares. You can cut your own (this sucks a lot) or you can buy them for pretty cheap on Amazon.
I make these every year for Christmas; everyone gets a bag along with their regular gift. They're soft, not too sticky, and taste amazing!
For bags, I put a whip on the other end as well, this way I don't have to remove the bag to hit it. I can get very large rips because I pull the vapor that has already collected in the bag.
edit: 2 more tips...
7th floor makes better elbow adapters... http://7thfloorvapes.com/index.php/seventhfloorvapes/accessories/adapters-attachments/water-pipe-adapter-frit-worked.html you need 18mm (sometimes called 19mm) male to fit the traditional cyclone bowl
if you use bags, of course you can use roasting bags.. but those are make a lot of noise and can get expensive, average like $1 per bag. cotton candy bags work really well, they're food grade and have a good shape, and they cost less in the long run, 100 bags for $12 on amazon, that's $.12 per bag

I got this for Christmas last year, and have used it tons of times! I follow the recipe inside, just using sugar free jello. I believe it was one flavored sugar free jello, five unflavored gelatin for regular gummies (I don't remember how much water), for regular gummies, and 1/2 a powdered drink mix packet - for sour gummies. So many combinations can be made.. and it's really worth it to have keto gummies. They also have a recipe for gummy vitamins included with it.
I personally use the recipe I found here:
https://stepawayfromthecarbs.com/keto-low-carb-gummy-bears/
It’s just a packet of sugar free jell-o, a packet of unflavored gelatin, and water.
I got one of these as a house warming gift:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00EY81OPO/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1522154683&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=gummy+maker&dpPl=1&dpID=51siz3NjxKL&ref=plSrch
So I use that to make them. I tend to add a little more water than the recipe and just fill the cup that comes with the gummy kit.
I've never tried it for this use before but you could maybe try these Candy Melts EZ Thin which are literally just dry flakes of oil used to thin out melted chocolate.

The size would work, but it's open on one side. The helmet I need has to be clear 360, so this wouldn't work :(
hell yeah! Vegas is a lot of fun, I hope you enjoy yourselves!
side note on melting chocolate: we quazi-recently picked up this chocolate melting pot - it's fucking awesome. idiot proof. we just chuck some Hershey symphony bars in there and then dip shit it in.

Yes, indeed.
Here is the front.
Apples. Sticks. Nothing weird here at all.
Most likely made from this thing.
You can actually buy a wooden ball on the end of a stick. Plenty left over for gift-giving!

The theme of my pitch is a Viking Dakkar Boat. So the bases were made using wooden treat sticks.
For the more RPSey of you, here are some classic sticks that paper

I've seen this to many times here now and i need to say this: This dude's assumptions are wrong. I don't know if you have ever held a teddy bear and a sponge next to each other, but typically the teddy bears are several times the size of the sponge, so either Spongebob is a huge ass sponge or those aren't teddy bears but actually gummy bears. This makes sense since if you compare Spongebob's size to Patrick the starfish and sandy the squirrel he is clearly the size of a normal sponge.
So assuming those two are gummy candy that places each at about 2.5 grams.
Now we need a bar that is also scaled to the same size, and sticking with the candy theme im going to assume it is a lolipop stick which assuming it is this (the first thing i found in google) his bar has a mass of about 1.67 g.
So 2.5+2.5+1.67= 6.6 grams is all he is lifting.
Now assuming Spongebob is this sponge (again first result) we find he weighs about 45g and therefore he is only lifting 14% of his body mass.
Bruh
Editted because my grammer and spelling were garbage.
I'm going to base my calculations off your .gif, which shows the lollipop's stick (and not the actual lollipop) smoking.
First off let's assume that each lick is five newtons of force (roughly one pound)
Next, because the only way to accurately know the coefficient of friction between two objects is experimentation, let's assume that tongue -> lollipop is similar to lubricated glass -> lubricated metal, which has a friction coefficient of roughly 0.25.^1
Friction is calculated by multiplying the coefficient of friction (in this case 0.25) by the normal force (in this case 5 N). This gives us a frictional force of 1.25 Newtons of kinetic energy being converted to heat each lick.
Assuming a lick is somewhere around three inches (this is a big lollipop), this gives us 1.25 N 0.0762 m = 0.0953 Joules per lick.
Lollipop sticks are made of rolled paper covered with a thin layer of wax^2 , so we'll use the melting point of wax paper in our calculations, which is 65.8° C. We're using the melting point because once it begins to melt is when gasses are actually going to come off the stick - this is when it will start "smoking".
Ignoring heat dissipation and distribution and assuming every bit of energy is being funneled directly into the wax coating, this is a fairly simple calculation.
This product is listed at one pound, equal to roughly 454 grams. Some math shows that each lollipop stick is around three grams in mass.
Starting at room temperature (25° C), we want to get to 65.8° C. The specific heat capacity of paraffin wax is between 2.14 and 2.9 Joules per degree Kelvin, so let's average that out to 2.52 Joules per degree Kelvin. We want to change temperature by 40.8° Kelvin (because Celsius and Kelvin scale the same). So:
Heat = 3 grams 2.52 Joules per degree Kelvin 40.8 degrees = 257.04 Joules
257.04 / 0.0953 = 2,697 licks
2,697 licks in one second would be enough to reach the melting point of the paraffin wax coating on the lollipop's stick, so 2,698 licks should be enough to begin melting the wax coating.
I'm ignoring heat dissipation because that involves many many more calculations and maybe even modeling. I'm not that invested in this question, sorry.
This is ignoring heat dissipation around the lollipop, around the stick, and into the air but I don't think it'll be a huge* issue. This is a very small time scale (one second) that we're working with, and I don't think the heat will be able to dissipate too much in that time. Somewhere around 3,000 licks would be my high guess taking heat effects into account.
So there you go. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,700 - 3,000 licks per second.
I’ve been using the Wilton Candy Melts candy melting pot for a couple of years now and it has never let me down. It has a removable silicone pot and two temp modes, 110F & 140F. I have run it continuously for up to 24 hours with no issue and the temp is very stable. I see no reason why it couldn’t run longer than 24 hours, I just haven’t had the need.
