29. Spry Fresh Natural Xylitol Chewing Gum Dental Defense System Aspartame-Free Sugar Free Gum (Cinnamon, 27 Count - Pack of 1)

    Features:
  • NATURAL CINNAMON GUM: Spry Cinnamon gum will help to keep you breath smelling fresh and is moisturizing for your mouth. It’s the ideal freshen up gum that is also good for your teeth. Our gum is conveniently packed with a screw on lid container so you can stay fresh on the road, at work, or with your friends. Natural Cinnamon gives a blast of cool, refreshing flavor, which provides a nice alternative to other aspartame free gum.
  • IMPROVES TOOTH DENTAL CARE: Clinical studies have shown that the use of xylitol on a daily basis, may reduce the risk of tooth decay. Our spry gum is part of an essential dental defense system that may also help fight off cavities. Xylitol is a natural ingredient that inhibits bacteria's ability to stick to your teeth. When bacteria can't stick, they can't colonize. Ask your dentist and hygienist about the amazing benefits of xylitol.
  • SUGAR FREE XYLITOL GUM: Instead of corn syrup or sugar our gum is made with 100% xylitol. Xylitol sweetener is derived from the fibrous parts of plants, similar in taste to regular organic sugar. We use no filler, flow agents or other sugar additives. Xylitol is a natural sugar that tastes just like real sugar and a great choice when looking for sweetners and sugar alternatives.
  • NON-GMO GLUTEN FREE NATURAL GUM: Unlike other packs of gum, Spry gum uses natural ingredients that are Non GMO and gluten free. Spry Xylitol gum is 40% lower in calories than other mint gum that contain regular sugars, but contains the same sweetness. It can be a great choice for using in diabetic foods and snacks, keto friendly foods or used in blood sugar support supplements.
  • FIGHTS BAD BREATH: Use daily after meals and between normal brushes. For best results use Spry Cinnamon gum with Spry Coolmint Toothpaste and Spry Coolmint Oral Rinse for a fresh breath. Spry Peppermint Chewing Gum can help prevent bad breath caused by a poor pH balance, dry mouth, and the lack of saliva. Chewing xylitol gum after meals can increase your saliva output and help neutralize the acids that cause bad breath.

  1. Colgate Max Fresh Wisp Disposable Mini Toothbrush, Peppermint - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HXAIN90/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_srDoDbQNF1M5N

Great for on the go and at my desk for a quick “brush” but there aren’t many in a pack so I try to use no more than 1 of these per day. I got mine at Target but probably would get a better deal on Amazon.

  2. Plackers Orthopick Flosser for Braces - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AKJ3W7I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_HsDoDbRJTQV6P

Samples of these came in my “kit” from my ortho and I ordered a stock on amazon. I use these at nigh and use my waterpik in the morning.

  3. Plackers Grind No More Dental Night Guard for Teeth Grinding- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003GDKH9C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xtDoDbMBQ84EH

I let my dentist and ortho know I use these (I prefer them to any other mouth guard I’ve tried) and they ok’d them with braces since they aren’t the heat & mold kind. I use them for a little longer than the box recommends (3 days) but toss them when they get gross.

  4. GUM Orthodontic Wax, Mint with Vitamin E and Aloe Vera- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KQ9FF1J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_iuDoDbAEJZPTT

I keep seeing people saying they can’t keep wax on. I love this wax (I got 2 kinds, no flavor and mint) because it’s perforated and easy to size out. Just roll in your fingers before applying otherwise it’s not going to stick. The mint is nice and fresh! I am using this a lot while my cheeks are getting used to poking metal but always remove before eating or brushing!

  5. Preserve Mint Tea Tree Flavored Toothpicks- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077J1K6ZY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_yvDoDbZ4D9Y

Do not use these too aggressively, you don’t want to damage your braces! But after a meal these have been a lifesaver for me. I gently (and hopefully discretely) get food unstuck. I got minty ones and keep a pack in jackets, backpack, car... I’m serious when I say lifesaver!

  6. Trident Sugar Free Chewing Gum- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07F1W4Y48/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_AwDoDb2NFAKMM

This is a bigger debate than getting wax to stick! My ortho did tell me that sugar free gum is allowed but not too much and don’t keep chewing it if it dissolves. Consult your ortho if you’re not sure. I was surprised to find that almost all gum is sugar free. Not all but most. I was searching all over for “SUGAR FREE” specifically and it was right at the register! I might get the 15 pack on Amazon though.

  7. Slim Brush Interdental Cleaners- https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009MHV3VW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_cyDoDb81CT899

Honestly I don’t use these that often but once and a while it’s nice to clean every nook and cranny. I have to force myself to floss every day so this isn’t something I use often. They are more gentle than toothpicks but food gets caught in the tiny bristles and it turns into a mess. I picked up a small pack at Target.
u/arnulfslayer · 4 pointsr/EDC

Hi! For a change, here's my somewhat typical European EDC.

My day consists of commuting, meeting clients and team members, and usually working at coffee shops and public transportation. Since I personally spend some hours in unfamiliar environments: trains, stations, bars, my EDC reflects that in many ways, with isolating headphones, extra battery, toiletries and lightweight laptop.

From top right, clockwise:

  • Bag: Tucano 13". Lightweight, somewhat water resistant, and fits all my stuff.
  • Laptop: MBA 13" 2013, 512 MB SSD, Core i7. Best machine ever. 12 hours of battery so I don't need to carry the charger around. I don't know what I'll do if Apple discontinues the line. I'd love to get a 20-hr battery life lightweight laptop someday
  • Phone: iPhone 5S. Also best cellphone ever. May upgrade to a SE soon, but meanwhile, the form factor is great, and battery life is decent.
  • Pen: Pilot super grip M 0.5, blue, ballpoint. Great feeling, functional, not a big deal if I lose it. I prefer not to use liquid ink or fountain pens, somehow I always end up making a mess of myself with the ink.
  • Notebook: ENRI Status 70gr, again nothing fancy. This is my EDC though for important meetings I carry a black
Leuchtturm1917 as it makes me look more "professional". Sigh.
  • Wallet: Secvel RFID protected wallet It holds a few cards which is enough for me, and blocks RFID from credit cards. That technology is convenient but also makes the CCs vulnerable to fraudulent charges by thieves walking around with a CC terminal in the metro and touching bags and pockets with them.
  • Public transport tickets: Beats the car in urban areas
  • Business card holder: Ögon Stockholm. It's actually a fancy wallet but it's too thick for my pockets, so I carry it in my bag as a business card holder.
  • Chewing gum: Trident Spearmint. A classic gum here in Spain, you can find it everywhere. To take before meetings after lunch.
  • Nail clippers: Beter Small and priceless when you need them.
  • Crappy carabiner in case I need to attach a second bag (e.g. shopping bag) to the main one, also to "lock" my bag in bar chairs. Not super secure but denies thieves a quick grab and run.
  • Store brand wet toilet paper, and kleenex. I try to avoid shitting in public places, but then I absolutely need to, I'm always thankful to have these.
  • Portable battery: Ravpower 15000 mAh Can't recommend this enough. My laptop battery lasts a lot, but the iPhone doesn't, especially when using it as a hotspot. This battery can power an ipad and an iphone for a whole weekend on a single charge.
  • iPhone cable: Syncwire. Cheap and super resistant, I love these and buy them for my friends.
  • Headphones: Sennheiser CX300 II. Used mainly for podcasts, the fact that they are in-ear provides great isolation when commuting.

You will notice that few of the items are fancy, I personally value functionality over aesthetics. As I said above, when I have an important meeting, I always grab my "good" notebook and "the pen", a very stylish black and gold Parker that was gifted to my father years ago. When it comes to business, appearances are everything!

I have other EDC-popular items which I don't carry everyday and therefore I didn't include in the picture. I don't need knives in urban areas nor multitools. If the train breaks down there's just nothing I can do, furthermore, I have plenty of tools in my office.

However, whenever I travel even if only for a night, I always take my swiss army knife which I bought in Switzerland 10 years ago. Furthermore, if I carry some food, I also take my Opinel which I've used since high school. Great little items, real life savers.

I don't carry flashlights, but I have a head lamp in my car, much more useful since you don't need hands to use it.

I hope you found some new things and interesting ideas in my EDC. Feel free to ask any questions!

Edit: Huh, I guess I forgot to include my Apple Watch in the picture, not surprising, because not only do I EDC it too, but just take it off for showers and sleeping. It's great even though I was a non-believer just a few months ago!
u/thirst-aroonie · 3 pointsr/GERD

Wow, you were diagnosed the same age I am now. Dude, pls don't freak out. The risk of getting Barrett's with GERD is like 1 out of 10, and then the risk of getting esophageal with Barrett's esophagus is like 1 out of 200. (source: https://www.asge.org/home/for-patients/patient-information/understanding-gerd-barrett-39-s)

I mean, it's completely normal to freak out over this, but that just means that you should do whatever test necessary that would give you the peace of mind and closure you deserve. Obviously within reason and means, but if I had to chose one, I would definitely get the upper endoscopy done. Getting a biopsy done will be more useful to you than a ph test, at least currently. When you get your stress down and eat a bland diet for a couple of weeks, any excess acid production should cease.

In terms of immediate relief, I agree with /u/rdizzy1223. Alka-Seltzer, Pepto-Bismol, Tums, Pepcid AC, Zantac, Prevacid 24HR, and Prilosec are some popular options. If you don't mind spending your money on bottled water or beverages, I treat myself to Essentia once and a while, even if it probably doesn't do anything. I drink coconut water almost daily, especially if I haven't been eating a lot of salt. Almond milk helps me. I chew ginger gum and fennel gum after I eat to help digestion, and I noticed that the fennel gum I chew gives me almost instant relief.

Also, meditate! It's not as hard as it sounds lol. When you're able to focus on your breath and change the relationship you have with your thoughts, it'll help you take your mind off the pain depending on how tolerable your pain is. Plus it's just generally good for anxiety and depression. Anything that you can do to distract yourself is gonna be worth it until your next appointment.

Take good care of yourself, and godspeed my friend!

Crest Whitening Strips

Apply it 1x or 2x a week to make it last longer instead of using it everyday, which could irritate your teeth and gums. The last time I used whitening strips was about 7 years ago. I drink coffee and soda almost everyday. As long as you maintain your dental hygiene, you'll keep the whiteness a lot longer.

Philips Sonicare toothbrush (or any other electric toothbrush)

Use at least twice a day. This will keep your teeth super clean, hence, whiter. I cannot go back to manual toothbrushes. It's amazing what a difference it does in cleaning your teeth. Do not skimp on your toothbrush if you want whiter teeth.

Sensodyne Toothpaste

Get sensitive toothpaste because whitening strips will make your teeth super sensitive. You don't have to get a whitening toothpaste. Those just use more abrasive ingredients, which doesn't necessarily make teeth noticeably whiter.

Water and Gum

Always try to rinse water after every sip of a drink and bite of food. If water isn't available, drink your beverages through a straw and/or chew a sugar-free gum. It doesn't need to be whitening gum - plus gum is just good to have around because many people don't realize they have unpleasant breath.

Floss

Every night. I did this for 6 months straight (I normally flossed infrequently — like once or twice a week) and had a perfect dental checkup after flossing everyday. The dental hygienist didn't even need to scrap off any plaque. This also helps make the sides/gaps between teeth whiter.

Listerine Mouthwash

Use weekly or as needed. I doesn't have to be whitening mouthwash. Do not use it everyday because it will create an imbalance of good bacteria and saliva which is essential for a healthy mouth.

Oh, and get a tan :)

If you can find mints or gum made with erythritol, stevia or artificial sweeteners, they're 0 carb.

Erythritol may be listed as having carbs but the body doesn't absorb them like regular carbs (no blood glucose spikes and minimal effect on the digestive system) and you basically pee it out.

Stevia is a safe natural sweetener, and artificial sweeteners are 0 carb, but not everyone likes them.

Beware maltitol and maltitol syrup. Those definitely count and can put you on the toilet for a while.

http://www.amazon.com/Orbit-Peppermint-Sugarfree-Gum-packs/dp/B001IZCY4Q

Orbit sugar free gum seems to be safe enough. It's sweetened with xylitol. People on keto generally seem to be okay with xylitol, counting it as no carbs or only a half carb. It's only a 12 on the glycemic index which suggests it's pretty difficult/slow to absorb, so if you have no other options it might be a decent choice for now. If you dig deeper I'm sure you'll find more than I did.

As for mints, you could always try your hand at making your own sugar free hard candy with erythritol and a minty flavoring oil?

I see you like cinnamon gum! Spry is an awesome brand that makes gum and mints in many favors including cinnamon. What’s awesome is that it’s sweetened with Xylitol. Xylitol is recommended by dentists a lot. It’s great at preventing cavities... long story short when you eat your saliva turns acidic and causes cavities. This returns it to a basic ph. So chew to help your teeth 😊

u/turkeyvulturebreast · 2 pointsr/tifu

Good on you! Keep it up! If you find triggers keep gum or even get some of these, lol.

World Confections Bubble Gum Cigarettes, 8 Piece per Box (24 Count) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005OKVO38/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_jpdVAb39D3TCD

They will be a great conversation piece and prevent you from actually smoking.

And avoid vaping too. I just seen too many people switch to vaping because they were told that it’s better and I think back to switching to Marlboro Lights because it was supposed to be better, and it wasn’t.

Take care and be healthy!

u/Bjr34b · 1 pointr/loseit

I really like the Juicy Fruit Starburst Gum. Its sugar free and has 5 calories per stick (sugar alcohol) and it really helps when I'm having a candy craving, especially at work! The flavor lasts like ten seconds maybe so I chew it for a few minutes and spit it out, but it helps if I know I'm going to walk by someones candy jar or if I'm really craving some candy.

The other thing that helps my candy cravings is drinking tea. I ordered a bunch of tea samples and I've been trying a different one every day. Making the tea helps distract me from the craving and drinking the tea helps keep my mouth busy.

u/chrislikespizza · 2 pointsr/nostalgia

I love sour candy, it's pretty much the only sweets I eat. If you can find these anywhere definitely give them a try. They are long tubular gum strips with the sour in the middle and you can break off a piece as big as you want. Definitely the most sour I've had.

u/Splitsurround · 2 pointsr/candy

try these:

They're sugar free, but still a bit sweet. They're chewy, the flavor is delicious and they're DEFINITELY not too sweet. They come in lots of flavors too...

u/Mikurotsukami · 17 pointsr/lifehacks

Its basically pure menthol for your taste buds and clears out my sinuses every time. But I do it in emergencies because its so strong for me it feels like Im breathing ice and burns a bit! Its super intense. https://www.amazon.com/Lotte-Black-Chewing-Gum/dp/B00028LDJC

My favorite review : "Gum gives feelings of triumphant power; feelings I associate with conquest of Manchuria and destruction of American electronics industry. I ate a stick of this gum, started a software company, proved the Riemann hypothesis and set myself up as generalissimo of a small Latin American country. Upon finishing the pack, I found my eyes had turned blue, I could fold space with the power of my mind and I could see the golden path in my genetic memory. Strong stuff; don't chew too much."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY :)

That means I must help celebrate 3 birthdays today!

Hope you have a smashing day :)

These are pink-ish?

As is this sort of :L

Not many mens products are pink tbh :P

I don't know if you've ever seen it, but at my aunts wedding, they had a little children's section with wedding cupcakes that had these pearls on them. It was amazingly adorable and I never knew they made pearlesque gumballs! I guess its sort of wedding related :P I wish I still had pictures of them! >.< They looked like these here, the pearly ones

I read about these stones for a little while now and wanted to try them. I headed to my local smoke shop after work yesterday and picked one 75g Xhale Steam Stones Bubble Gum flavor to try it out.

Opened the jar and placed them in my Vortex bowl and put 3 Coco Nara coal. The flavor was good, it was not strong, but you can taste a hint of bubble gum.

I was afraid that the smoke was going to be thin, but it turned out to be thick! i was getting huge clouds and enjoyed the bowl for over an hour.

I will definitely buy more soon. Especially for my fiancee who does not like the "Buzz" feeling.

u/bignnatural · 2 pointsr/FODMAPS

I like Glee gum--the peppermint is made with sugar.
You can buy it on Amazon here and the ingredients list on the Glee website here.

u/Ugstuboy · 2 pointsr/snackexchange

I'm from the UK and I have never seen this flavour, But I would recommend that you look at some online stores. This could workout cheaper because you would not have to pay as much for shipping. Here is a link to Amazon where they are being sold. But on that Amazon auction they are out of stock :(. Although there are some smaller stores selling them too- Like this one and This one But they do look a bit dodgy. Good luck in your hunt for the gum :)

u/Freybae · 2 pointsr/vaporents

If you need a container to put your stuff in I suggest buying this. The bubble gum smell is quite strong and they close pretty tight, Im sure its not air tight, but as long as you keep stuff clean its good.

One time i ate almost a whole box of those fiber one chocolate fudge brownies in one sitting. The amount of pain in my guts followed by liquified brownies exiting my rear was AGONIZING. I didn't take the whole "fiber helps you poo" thing as legit so my disregard for the impact they'd have turned into a tough lesson learned.

On a separate occasion, i chewed a huge bag of [juicy fruit sugar free gum](JUICY FRUIT--Fruity Chews Original Sugarfree Gum--Original Fruity Flavored Sugarfree Chewing Gum--1-120 Piece Resealable Bag https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QT2ACY2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_reHUBbFDN7DPG) over the course of 48 hours. Needless to say i quickly learned just how powerful (and painful) a laxative sugar-free foods can be.

I wish you luck, it's gonna be a rough few days for your guts 😪

Legit the greatest sweets ever made. Plus you end up getting a fun visit to the dentist after eating them!

If you call your favourite sweet (not candy) shop ahead of time, then they may be willing to order a tub of them just for you.

Also, it seems Amazon sell them: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fizzy-Bubblegum-Bottles-kilo-bag/dp/B004705HLG

You could order them to a Locker or Pickup Location near wherever you're staying.
