Not OP, but I used to use that style of contact lens storage and each of those tubes holds a pair of contacts in them. The A and B would either be because they are different prescriptions for different uses or because they swap back and forth on some sort of schedule for whatever reason.

Here is a link to the best picture of these I could find on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Clear-Care-Cleaning-Disinfecting-Travel/dp/B00FDXACA2/. One or both of the blue and white sides is marked with an R or L. The gray gear looking thing on the bottom does something (reacts with the soaking solution, I think) and I think got replaced periodically, but it has been a long time since I have used that style case so I am a bit fuzzy on the specifics.

edit - Found this listing that has more pictures better showing lens holder looks outside of the tube: https://www.amazon.com/Mosuch-Plastic-Contact-Cleaning-Lenses/dp/B01MZ4OD3I/ If you zoom in you can barely make out the "R" on the one side. Could also just be that my work laptop's monitor is not the best and that is obvious on something better.

It's a container for cleaning your contacts using Clear Care.

It uses Hydrogen Peroxide to clean built up proteins off the lenses, and God help you if you put your contacts in before they're done cleaning.

Hey! I’m getting new lens cases from amazon and the listing calls the size “standard” and “universal” if that helps, and the dimensions are 3.9 x 2.4 x 3.9 inches

Here’s the listing

Thank you so much for offering!

Contact lense people: this solution has a $4 coupon making it two bottles for $10 which is a pretty good deal

I'll third this. I traveled 15-months with (at one point - 6) Clear Care hydrogen peroxide travel size bottles and one of these. I've used a spoon to pop the lid off to refille.

This set would probably look pretty cool with some white paracord.

According to my ophthalmologist, eye drops such as Visine and Rohtos aren't so great to put in your eyes when you're wearing contacts. Something about how they degrade your contacts or something, so instead I use these. They help with the dryness of contacts after you smoke, which in turn clears up that redness in your eyes. They work for me at least and make my contacts feel much better after I smoke. I actually use them whenever my contacts get a little dry, so they're great for that too!

For both contacts and this purpose, I recommend the flip up style cases like this!

They're usually super cheap (its the kind my eye doctor gives for free lol), and no more worrying about losing the lid.

After using these for a few years I find the screwtop ones so cumbersome.

You can get those contact lens cases and carry around a little dab of each with you. When they run out, just wash the case then refill. Walmart sells a rainbow pack like this for less, or you can find cute ones!

Blink eye drops bro. Saved me so many times.

You can buy a lens remover tool. It's like a little plunger for your eye!

http://www.amazon.com/ULTRA-Hard-Contact-Lens-Remover/dp/B0076LCMSE/ref=pd_sim_hpc_4

Just replace it every other month. It's hands down the least stressful way to remove contacts.

Clean and refill: pop the lid off by jamming your pocketknife between the lid and the body and working it away from the bottle. I've been using the same bottle for 7 years for 2 day-5 week trips. Hasn't let me down yet.

Can we just use regular saline solution?

Such as this?

u/steve257 · 1 pointr/onebag

Not worth the risk (of infection) or the hassle. I ONLY buy travel size contact solution (60ml) bottles and use these even when not travelling.

Like everyone said, it's protein build up or dry eyes. My optometrist has suggested adding a drop of artificial tears when putting in the contacts to prevent dry eyes. They also suggested using a contact cleaner every two weeks.

Here's the link for the device.

u/handbasket_rider · 1 pointr/GrassHopperVape

Any old case will do, but these are good, as they're opaque, and the cap is greenish :).

These are also surprisingly capacious, no doubt to sell more contact lens solution.

u/tjdinh · 2 pointsr/BurningMan

I wear contacts everyday and use these to pop them in without having to ever touch it. Use one day contacts and throw them out after.
