These things are the best, eggs are so much better.
Best for egg whites.

u/smoothmann · 2 pointsr/instantpot

I like to make these egg bites. That key is for scale lol. You'll need to get the mold on Amazon. Scramble some eggs, add a little milk and some chopped meat. Could be cooked bacon or sausage. About 5-8 mins. Here's the link for the mold

Edit: I put the mold on the trivet with a cup of water underneath. Put some foil on top...doesn't need to be tight on top of the mold. Just to cover it a little

u/WhatTheGentlyCaress · 2 pointsr/AskCulinary

Agreed. I use this to 'cheat'.

Place eggs in lightly greased pods, keeping them out of the holder for now
When water starts boiling, place pods in holder and add cover (water should not be so deep that the pods are touching the water)
Wait 3 & 1/4 minutes (timing may vary with location)
Take out pods and turn out perfectly cooked poached eggs wherever you want them

u/naysay3rr · 1 pointr/Wishlist

Happy 3.14159 day!

I have this for baking and then these egg things for hard boiling eggs look neat.

u/PM_ME_UR_KNITS · 1 pointr/xxketo

I only found out about it because I was researching the Eggtastic. I liked the look of the one I bought much more than the Eggtastic -- it didn't look as kitschy, to be honest.

I'll get a picture in, tomorrow! It's going to be turkey links though, and not patties. Boo-licious.

u/deadly_penguin · 3 pointsr/KnightsOfPineapple

As a matter of fact, I do cook rice and eggs in the microwave. (/u/VoidTorcher) For rice, I use something like this (but cheaper), so it doesn't go everywhere. Eggs can be poached with something like this (I think I had a Netto one once, it was iffy, but worked), but scrambled egg is much better in the microwave - just beat eggs, milk and pepper in a jug and microwave, stiring with a fork at regular, short intervals.

Edit: Check this, turns out you can do chicken in the microwave! (though it isn't recommended, it looks mank)

u/howsyourgoldfish · 35 pointsr/FoodPorn

Save yourself the hassle and buy something like this!

u/t_rrrex · 1 pointr/ArcherFX

I agree with the comment below, if it's hot enough to melt the plastic, it's too hot to gently poach eggs anyway. But, if you're really concerned, you can also buy silicone egg poachers.

u/GoodAtSomeThings · 1 pointr/instantpot

Egg poaching cups...can make poached eggs perfectly every time in 5 minutes!

u/zsaile · 1 pointr/LifeProTips

Perhaps something like this might work better?

u/MicroCuts713 · 2 pointsr/cookingforbeginners

For sure, if you have the storage space that is! By the way, check out this one. I was considering ordering it. It would fit in many different sized pans and would take up less space. poaching rack!

u/refinancemenow · 7 pointsr/instantpot

Are you talking about these pods? https://www.amazon.com/Aozita-Silicone-Bites-Instant-Accessories/dp/B07LFV3F14/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=silicon+instant+pot+egg&qid=1573667098&sr=8-6

Do you use cooking spray or anything on the silicon pods?

I eat eggs every day but I just boil them (sort of soft, with runny yolk). I'd like to try to make those egg bites (like Starbucks has) in those pods.

u/arahzel · 1 pointr/Frugal

I pan cook them, but I do a bunch of other stuff in the kitchen while they cook - make lunches, unload the dishwasher, prep the coffee pot.

I do have one microwavable thing similar to this and it works well for poached eggs, and I mostly use it at work.

And because I searched, I found this and I WANT ONE.

u/aMinnesotaBro · 2 pointsr/nfl

Highly recommend it for eggs. You can buy something like this to make them in bulk.. However, I'm not a big fan of hard boiled eggs and prefer using this to make little omlette bites instead.. I always follow this recipe!

I use these all the time, they're worth the price :) just remember to put a bit of oil inside so it doesn't stick when you poke them out

u/The_Paul_Alves · -5 pointsr/LifeProTips

Most people don't know how to cook eggs and use <edit>a lot of OIL</edit> to do it and fuck up the eggs all kinds of ways.

What we're discussing here is getting an egg shaped like McDonalds so it fits onto an english muffin.

This is impossible without an egg mold of some sort. You can buy them from Amazon for a few bucks.

u/drinkwineandscrew · 1 pointr/Cooking

If you don't make them very often, try these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Poachies-Non-Stick-Poaching-Bags-White/dp/B006VT2OMQ You can get them in the co-op as well, don't know about Waitrose.

Only things I do differently to you is to put the egg into a ramekin and add a few drops of white wine vinegar, then leave for a few minutes. Use as much water as possible, bring to a boil, whisk and then turn the heat off and pour the egg into the vortex slowly from the ramekin. Mine have got a lot better recently since adding the vinegar to the egg first, though I have limited scientific knowledge as to why it would work.

u/vespolina12 · 0 pointsr/keto

I cheat and use these things for poaching eggs:
http://www.amazon.com/Silicone-Egg-Poachers-Set-Premium/dp/B00IOD3NQI/ref=sr_1_4?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1411691651&sr=1-4&keywords=egg+cup

And I know that technically, it's not poaching. But it's easy!

I also like the "blender hollandaise" recipes - just google that.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/Keto_Food

Where did you get that mold?! I must know!

Edit: Found it https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077QP8WP2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_edjpDb50N66XZ

> What are egg rings?

These are the ones I have:

u/Woknblues · 1 pointr/ketorecipes

Low moisture mozzarella is $2-3/lb where I live. That and eggs. Get an egg-tastic and you are all set. I use mine at work.

Yes, RL is a food company. A food company I have relied on for almost a year for 80-90% of my caloric intake. A food company I have thoroughly evangelized with friends, co-workers and users on this very subreddit.

Nine months of that year have been on a subscription where orders were placed, paid for, shipped and delivered in 4-7 days. Now going into the eighth day and my order has been placed and PAID FOR but I can't get a straight answer about when it might even begin to ship.

Believe me when I tell you I would not be raising any sort of hell if I was waiting on Amazon to deliver my Egg-Tastic!
