That's another good thing about these, they've been used by quite a few countries around the world, so there is quite a bit of information as well as manuals in English.

You can get them directly from Puch, as well as most of the importers offer them, like Pinzgauer.com and/or Expedition Imports. That said, you may want to check the forums to see if they have some free versions somewhere, since the importers tend to charge quite a bit for them.

Pinzgauers won't show up in most automotive search engines. The basic items aren't too exotic, with Sparkplugs, Fuel Filter, Oil Filter and Air Filter readily available.
Here is a link to a pretty nice parts-interchangeability list.

Overall, parts are not too bad, with some being rather expensive. That said, this has been the case with most of the older cars i've owned, with some parts being 5-10 bucks and others simply costing hundreds of dollars for no apparent reason. Old vehicles tend to do that to ya :P.

You should be using micron wheel filters, especially since you sound like you could easily afford and acquire them.

Here's one of the better ones out there, and in particular are individually packaged and sterilized, which does matter to an extent. If you have disposable income, I'd go with these bad boys. Make sure they're compatible with the needles you use (higher gauge number the better...use 27 gauge or higher, like ~29-31 gauge is arguable the best for your health and still thick "enough" not to clog often, especially when using micron filters).

https://www.amazon.com/Membrane-Solutions-Lab-Supply-Diameter/dp/B074QM7VTW/ref=sr_1_4?crid=149V0AEILKTDJ&keywords=0.22+micron+syringe+filter+sterile&qid=1570813763&sprefix=0.22+micron%2Caps%2C1189&sr=8-4

If you're somewhat on a budget, using something like the one linked below (also 0.22ug micron filter, but not sterilized and individually package) can bring the cost down from ~$1-1.50 per filter to more like ~$0.50-0.70 per filter. IMO, don't bother buying sterilized microns IF they're not individually packaged, unless the price isn't that much more.

https://www.amazon.com/LINKTOR-Orangnic-Filtration-Diameter-Non-sterile/dp/B07P5P3WMK/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=0.22+micron+syringe+filter&qid=1570814035&sr=8-10

Personally, I wouldn't use a 0.22ug micron filter that's cheaper than ~$0.70 each, unless it's for non-injection purposes, or unless it has loads of positive reviews. I don't IV, but if I did I'd recognize that just ~$0.50-1 per dose/shot (or possibly even cheaper, as you can filter a bit more than just one "dose" depending on the total quantity and how impure it is, as long as you filter it all at once).

If someone is on a bare minimum budget, use at least a 0.45ug micron filter, or at worst a sterifilt (cheaper than microns, filters out ~99% of all particles >5ug, and 90% of all particles <5ug). That's not a fine enough filter to filter out the vast majority of bacteria, but it's WAY better than using cotton.

Cotton only filters out particles as "small" as ~40-80ug in size, and even when it does, it's not a "filter" with a universal pore size. That means that particles larger than ~100ug still get through, even if it's "only" ~1-20% of all particles that size.

Yep! You already have the vacuum pump, all you need is the buchner funnel, filter paper, and syringe filters. The only other real cost is the everclear, terpenes, and cartridges.

Your first pass through the funnel will be just with coffee filters. 2nd time use the 10 micron that comes with the funnel, 3rd time use the 2.5 micron, and finish up with the syringe filters. Its the only way I've been able to make a cart wick and not taste burnt. I just use the fruit frenzy shatter batter for flavor, it comes out a little runny but works well. They have other flavors as well. The grape is like a grape ice pop. I would avoid unless you like those lol. Theres some videos on the shatter batter page that shows how to do it. Don't do the microwave thing, do the double boiler.

u/sixfivelive · 2 pointsr/DIY_eJuice

It can't be avoided. Something like this can help cut down on it though. You can make a funnel with it and just let it drip into a glass. You can sometimes find a good price on better paper, but it's rare. I wouldn't go less than 1.5 microns though. I use this paper in an Aeropress first to squeeze the tob, then filter with some better paper I have, but this paper would be good enough. also, the description says 10, but its a pack of 100.

Sorry for the late reply, I'm probably the only one who checks this sub. I have a double IBC tote setup, with this pump: https://www.amazon.com/Shurflo-2088-594-154-2088-Diaphragm-Industrial/dp/B0001FAA5Y/ref=sr_1_fkmr2_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499722510&sr=8-1-fkmr2&keywords=in-line+water+pump+shurflo

With a couple of in-line filters: this on on the pump inlet: https://www.amazon.com/SHURFLO-255-315-Swivel-Water-Strainer/dp/B002XM3IP2/ref=pd_sim_60_8?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B002XM3IP2&pd_rd_r=YQ8Y2Y060CD2PTJX5HB0&pd_rd_w=RXwRJ&pd_rd_wg=dIo1a&psc=1&refRID=YQ8Y2Y060CD2PTJX5HB0

And this one (I think) on the IBC outlet: https://www.amazon.com/Female-Strainer-mounting-stainless-screen/dp/B00CH18YFS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499722741&sr=8-1&keywords=inline+strainer

I think my long hose is 100ft. Is there a lot of head? What kind of sprinkler is it? How large of an area do you want to cover?

I have a sprinkler similar to this one that works pretty well, probably covers around 12x12ft? https://www.amazon.com/Sprinkler-medium-watering-troubleshooting-Needed/dp/B01HB1NVH4/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1499722821&sr=8-6&keywords=sprinkler

I've used it with another sprinkler like this, but there are too many holes, so not enough pressure https://www.amazon.com/Gilmour-Light-Circle-Pattern-Sprinkler/dp/B000KL17BU/ref=sr_1_47?ie=UTF8&qid=1499722890&sr=8-47&keywords=sprinkler

I've used them in two areas in my yard with about an 8ft difference in head. Neither were effected much by the head difference.

At work we have 3 ~800gal cisterns for our plant nursery. We have a pump similar if not the same model as this one which we use for the normal back-and-forth style lawn sprinklers. It works great, but again very little head. I think we might be able to run two sprinklers at a time with this one. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0002YVPSK?ref=emc_b_5_i

u/Battered_Unicorn · 1 pointr/CannabisExtracts

So these kinds of filters work well for my needs and this series of glass syringes work very well imo. You just need to wet the ptfe tip with ethanol prior to use, and at 40c it is quick enough to be worth the effort. Run it with a 1:10 heated solution for best results.

u/kiss-kiss-bang-bangg · 2 pointsr/opiates

I started using these about 9 months ago and I won't use anything else. Just get the luer lock syringes w no needle. You can use the filters a few times too if you flush them well. Warm water has worked best for me. Hope that helps.

u/csmicfool · 1 pointr/PlantedTank

I also highly recommend adding inline regulators instead of relying on BS like needle valves and bubble count. I have one of these on each tank

Measuring psi on your output line is most effective in my experience so far.

I was in a pretty similar situation. Our water is really hard and after running through the water softener it doesn't taste that great. I picked up this guy to improve the taste of our drinking water. I've only had it for about 6 months so I haven't replaced any of the filters yet. It looks like amazon also has an annual filler pack for a little over $60.

We didn't have any problems with installation. All the connections were simple 'push together' type connections. If I remember correctly it even comes with a splitter to fork the filtered water out to the fridge.

The cons:

  • A bit expensive, but if you are constantly replacing your fridge filter then you'll probably save money in the long run.

  • Filter replacement is slightly more complicated as you now have 4 filters that last different amounts of time.

  • Some noise. RO systems only keep something like 1/4 of the water they process. The rest gets dribbled down the drain and you can hear it. If it annoys you try plugging the drain with a rubber stopper and that should block most of the noise.

I'm glad we did it just because the water tastes so much better than our regular tap water, but YMMV.

Alright, The wood, nuts, bolts, screw, L brackets, plastic, plexi-glass, wire, air compressor, duct work reducer (to create funnel), and pail can all be bought at a hardware store outlet. (I had most of those all on hand)

Everything else

Pneumatic cylinder -crusher 25$

loading cylinder 30$

Solenoids 20$

6mm quick connect fittings 15$ you may need to order a converter or adapter to fit the crushing cylinder. I think its 1/4" fittings, so you could order those too but be sure to check

6mm Pneumatic hose 12$

6mm T splitter 6$

Air Pressure Regulator 10$ use to regulate the air to the loading piston as it runs at a lower psi/ can be slowed down some as well.

Shut off valve 6$

Quick connect to airline 6$ What you need may be different. Depending on your set up.

Arduino Uno 15$

12V Power supply 7$

12V to 9V 6$

158$ + construction materials that shouldn't cost more than 50$

Note: Some of this may be found else where for cheaper, but at least you know what you are looking for. Also I rounded everything up.

Let me know if this helps at all.

Edit: Its also helpful to have someone who can weld, so that cost has to be factored in as well. I traded work for work.

u/dysmetric · 2 pointsr/popping

Thanks, scary hole that left in your arm but it healed up pretty nicely.

A 0.22 or 0.2 micron wheel filter is advised, it will filter bacteria as well as particles that can cause sterile abscesses. Looks like this. You can reuse them a couple of times... I chain the old ones up but this won't be that reliable, better than nothing though.

Instructions on youtube

I'll occasionally binge for a couple of days and always IM into quad (thigh) rather than deltoid because area on deltoid is too small to use repeatedly. I can go through a ridiculous amount of pins and developed an unholy tolerance doing this, can smash half a gram IM and still not hole like I used to. I think the wheel filters have saved me because last couple of times I've eventually gotten too fucked up and run out of sterile saline or bacteriostatic water then switched to kettle boiled raintank water, which is pretty stupid but i've had no problems.

u/TheHotCoco · 1 pointr/StonerEngineering

The whole thing is connected to a vacuum pump.. I have some videos that I need to upload somewhere (good anonymous alternative to youtube?). I have no idea what my CFM of my pump is but it pulls through quite literally anything.

And another set of random photos from cooking that night while engineering

New ideas are I need one of these mesh filters. Perhaps 2. They draw pretty hard. These are impossible to do by your self however they may be of use in the 'power assist' mode with the vacuum pump. Definitely need one on the outlet of the first jar to keep depris from the next.

Also think I need to have buffer jars hooked up backwards. The one closest to the vacuum pump empty hooked up to a jar full of water. That way when it sucks through 1 full jar you know that all air in all of the jars has been 'smoked' through. Given enough equipment you could pack 1 massive 1g bowl hook it up to 28 mason jars in series. (You'd have to play around with sizing). And then everyone in the room can carry around a jar full of 'vaporized' 1 gram. Put a straw in it and just inhale in as much or as little time as you want.

Also need to figure out where to get a glass downspout locally to use that instead of the pipe.

UPDATE: We tried filtering through 3 of the 4" Culina Fine Mesh Nylons Strainers, with the middle one at a 45 degree angle to the other two. Didn't get any better at all.

I also had a hop bag available that I had bought for future dry-hopping (one like this: http://www.brewinternational.com/straining-bag-reusable-nylon-mesh-with-draw-string/) and we tried using that stretched over a single strainer and pushed down into the strainer bowl. http://imgur.com/SB3rSTL That worked better but clogged and slowed often, so it had to be cleaned frequently.

So, I'm going to try one of these when I have my new hosing setup put together:
https://www.amazon.com/Line-Strainer-stainless-filter-screen/dp/B00CH29IK2
https://www.amazon.com/Banjo-LSTM050-80C-Polypropylene-T-Strainer-Female/dp/B0079JV3DI/

Several home brewers have had luck with these strainers, according to homebrew forums. When you put a coffee filter or tight mesh hop bag cloth in a strainer or funnel like I did previously, you get build up that tends to clog the filter where gravity is trying to pull the liquid through. This in-line filter allows for the liquid to pass through the screen and multiple places and angles, so it will take a long while to clog. And if I need something a little tighter, I can try a hop bag in there, or another trick several folks swear by: pantyhose!

u/MountSwolmore · 2 pointsr/steroids

This was from DL:

You guys convinced me to home brew. Especially after I just did some math on what my latest $2k purchase would get me.

Putting together the list, will be refining as I learn more.

Hope that helps. If you don't want to try those. Buy a large oral syringe cut the plastic tip off, poke as many holes you can into the tip to help relieve pressure. Apply a coffee filter (layered) and attach with a hose clamp and you have a homemade syringe filter. Try and find plastics that the ISO won't dissolve! Good luck!

Is shop air available? As far as I know, there's very little water in shop air. I'd try putting a small regulator like this on the outside of the box, with a small bulkhead (Say 4mm or 5mm) going through the wall. Regulate the downstream pressure to provide air flow, and a check bulkhead/check-valve on the box elsewhere to provide means of escape but prevent anything from coming in?

Just spitballing here.

u/ARAR1 · 1 pointr/engineering

You need a pressure regulator. https://www.amazon.com/Bostitch-BTFP72326-Regulator-4-Inch-Thread/dp/B00HXD2V36/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?keywords=pressure+regulator&qid=1572565174&sr=8-7

Pressure is related to flow. So what happens to the gas in the tube is what will determine the actual pressure.
