We absolutely love our 2019 Kia Niro PHEV (EX Premium). Most of our trips are under 26 miles, so we treat it as an EV for the most part. We live in a townhouse community with an HOA that won't let me run more than 110V to my parking spaces because there's a pedestrian path that the cord has to cross, so I have a rubberized cable ramp that I place over the cable so that bikes and strollers can safely cross the cable while we're charging the car... In case you need one, this is what I bought... https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07CJWRN8P

Yeah that would be the downside since installing an outlet in the middle of of the floor probably isn't an option for OP but they can use a cord cover like this.

These are what I have in my craft/rat room and seem to be working. My girls love chewing cords and I haven't noticed any new problems since using these.

My wires are ziptied into a single strand, and then hidden underneath a carpet cord cover. It velcros to the carpet and doesn't move. Only works with certain carpets. Mine's berber.

Thats what you see coming from each front speaker to the stand, and then to the window wall, along the window wall, back to the seats, etc.

Use a cord cover and pick it up when done. My city was fine with this solution.

I use this, mounted to the rear of my desk, to handle cables that run the length of the table top. Cables all exit on the right side of the desk and run down one leg:

I use this to handle cables that run across my floor (live in apartment, can't build them into the wall):

I used this to wrap/bundle my cables when they are too long:

It's a "cord taco". Just used for organizing audio or computer cords.

Looks something like this.

[Maybe these things?] (https://www.amazon.com/Drop-Trak-Cable-Hose-Protector/dp/B00JGYO7HI) around here they would probably grow legs and wander off in the night.

u/waterskier2007 Β· 3 pointsr/teslamotors

That's a 5 channel one.

There are cheaper options

u/trinitesla Β· 1 pointr/teslamotors

Much cheaper available so im sure they can find for their location: cheaper option

u/trpfl Β· 2 pointsr/HomeNetworking

Floor cable cover or something similar should do it.

u/A_Water_Fountain Β· 1 pointr/techsupport

This could be anything from duct tape to something like this, unless I am misunderstanding the question.

u/freakytone Β· 1 pointr/livesound

For tile and wood you can use something like this

Home 'n' Office Small Drop Over Cord Protector - 36" Straight Piece https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0058JFIFU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_R7HYBbWXND49P

Just make sure you can fit all the cables in it. It might slide around a little, so just add a small peice of gaff at each end. You'll have to replace that small peice of gaff like, once a week, but it's easier than regaffing the whole thing just to avoid the tape leaving behind anything.

Gaff is fine for a week or two, but any longer than that, and you want to regaff, to avoid it leaving crap stuck to the surface

I’m not a fan of cords on the sidewalk. But if you must charge for what ever reason this might be an option if the city allows it. Otherwise focus on getting a full charge at work.

u/BrundleCopter Β· 1 pointr/Vive

Maybe:

https://www.amazon.com/UT-Wire-UTW-CP501-BK-Protector-3-Channels/dp/B00545BSC0

and/or maybe:

https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-12mmx8mm-Flexible-Corrugated-Conduit/dp/B0197X1U6S

But they're probably a bit heavy, flexible, limiting, and generally annoying. Note that the vive has standard cable connections, so you can just replace all the wires if they break, and use a cable wrap/sleeve to merge the three cords into one:

u/nosoupforyou Β· 1 pointr/DIY

Worst case, you could just run a cable protector over the cord, which would prevent him from doing that.

I saw some decent ones for about $12-$15 for 4 or 6 ft lengths ( can't remember which) at Home Depot. Amazon sells them too.

that might do the job
