As others have said, more fat, more veggies (really, stuff yourself with veggies - things like a whole/half head of finely shredded cabbage steamed in a tiny bit of water, add pepper, salt and if you like, some allspice/caraway seeds and onion, add a pat of butter and garnish with a a couple of rashers of bacon fried until really crisp and crumbled over the top will really hit the spot; try eating a whole head of cabbage with butter in one sitting and tell me you're not full!).

Also, something that worked for me when I retrained my stomach from "big eater" to "appreciative eater": find the most ridiculously tiny fork that you can, like a two-pronged cocktail fork and eat everything with that.++ Most importantly, eat slowly. Get your ridiculously impractical tiny fork, and take tiny little bits of your food, chewing each bite slowly and really tasting it. As a former "big eater", I think sometimes the fact that we love our food so much can lead us to eat far too fast, so that we end up eating more than we need and train ourselves to eat too much.

Good luck on your journey - and don't be too hard on yourself! It's great that you've committed to doing something that's going to improve your health and make you a lot happier in the long run. That's more than a lot of people ever do!

++ Yes, everything, even your delicious chocolate-avocado mousse or that nice chunky vegetable soup.

Codename Duchess

Some forks would definitely improve my life. We have like 8 of them in the house between 3 people, and having to do dishes every day then still running out of forks gets quite old.

I got a set at Costco a while back. In the restaurant supply area. They are twice as thick as the set we've been using for over a decade. They are sturdy, absolutely no bending them. I think it was $10 for a 36 pack of forks, so cheap too. Spoons or knives were same price, something like $30 for 36 of each.

Definitely recommend to anyone looking for sturdy silverware. Tramotina is the brand. Looks like you can also get them on Amazon

No we have cake forks:

My family has always had cake forks but since moving into my own apartment regular forks or spoons have been supplied when they visit and have cake with no complaint since I don't have my own yet. It could also come down to a regional thing but as long as the cake is good who cares. :)

A really small slice of cake with a tiny pastry fork. Or a really well arranged fruit salad, again with that sort of a fork. Something like this, but more delicate.

This isn't really sexy, its more cute. I always picture myself all bony and eating one little cake pop, or other pastel colored sweets/candies.

> When did stainless steel become a "premium" material?

Yeah, it's hilarious.

Here's a dozen stainless steel (18/10) forks for $23... that's more stainless steel than in any watch.

$6 on Amazon

As for the robot that feeds you, that won't be available until November 14th, 2026. That thing is amazing! You can read your e-book while a beautiful android feeds you. For it to work, you have to rest your head against her silicon boobs in position and it will spoon the food into your mouth. It costs quite a few credits, but it is worth it! I would bring one back for you, but I would break the temporal prime directive and be imprisoned. So you will just have to wait and see.

Believe it or not, Amazon can be a good place to buy a fork.

u/mikefitzvw · 1 pointr/Vintage_bicycles

I wouldn't cannibalize another bike - either see if a Fuji fork is available on ebay, a local co-op, or just get one of these and paint it to match (if you want to).

u/Jeffenatrix · 1 pointr/FulfillmentByAmazon

At least put your name or logo in the images. And put your brand name back in the item title.

Check out these crappers.

You could just find some with 1 star rating.

$50?! I don't think so. The last time I bought granny forks (and I can't remember where, dammit) was about 10 years ago and they were $10-12 apiece, 8" long, with riveted wooden handles. Amazon has something similar to mine for $16.50. (The price has undoubtedly gone up.) The Cutco thing is for holding down a roast or a chicken while you slice it -- a different critter entirely.

u/oaka23 · 13 pointsr/CringeAnarchy

what do you expect when you're buying forks for as low as 45 cents each

u/Ourkid1010 · 6 pointsr/britishproblems

That's what this bad boy is for. Outside striking distance and no longer any need to ask.
