This is so exciting I've been browsing bags left and right hehe I could keep going but I already had to make a decision on which ones made the cut and it wasn't easy, hope you don't mind I put more than one option. Seeing as it is your first purse you have to take into consideration what size fits your needs better and the design has to be somewhat easy to dress up or down so you don't have to move things around.
Anne Klein makes pretty good purses, I've owned a few and they are simple in design, stylish and good sized. This is one model I've owned and it takes me a bit to fill it all up, mind you whatever the size of the bag you'll always manage to get it pretty full, which can be bad for the shoulders... nevertheless space is always welcome.

Here's another Anne Klein with a beautiful design, I feel it's a bit more modern, this one has a zipper which I recommend if you're a bit clumsy like me, it's always a relief when you drop your bag or go to a crowded not so secure place, make the thiefs work harder for your goodies. I was attending DeAnza college in Cupertino California but I recently moved so I will be attending Cosumnes River College in Sacramento for fall semester.

I am working toward a medical assisting degree. I am 33 years old and decided to go back to school after I left a 15 year relationship.The person that was holding me back from doing what I wanted is out of my life now so there was no better time than now to take advantage of an opportunity to finally do something to better myself. I want to make my children proud and set a good example for them..I recently went to visit the school to check it out and it is a very beautiful school the only thing that worried me was that there are these poles with something like a panic button to alert the police if you need them and there are many of these poles..I hear the school isn't in a great area so that kinda worries me but it is the only school in my area with a medical assisting program so I really have no choice.

I have multiple items that will help me with school..I always have a need for the basic necessities:

Pencils are always useful, especially for test taking and math class..uggh math!

Pens of course are very useful for school.

A journal to keep notes and stuff in would be great because I forget everything unless I write it down.

If you're really looking for "classic" and durable handbags:

I've had this Bendel's bag as a gift in blush pink for three years now, and adore it. It's simple, durable, and workable just about year round.

I also have a coach purse really similar to this coach bag in a darker blue in leather. I've had it for 6 years, the thing is indestructible. It's seen big forums, rain snow and sleet, a couple parties, countless classes, once half a bottle of Rosé spilled in it, and was super easy to get the smell out of.

A friend of mine has a bag similar to this kate spade and swears by the thing, and it always looks so sophisticated.


I however, have a hard won love for odd purses, and take them all over the place, and those REALLY go through some nonsense with me.

this popcorn purse is a personal favorite. Somehow survived my dog teething on it a couple years ago, and she's pretty much bred for biting power.
Betsy Johnson's purses are my lifeblood. All of them are wonderful. They survive everything, come in pretty much all shapes and sizes and I've recently been eyeing the dinosaur one.
But the dream, truly, is one of Kate Spade's weird purses. Seriously a taco truck?! Or this cactus? or this cactus? how about this little parrot? Every bag from her I've seen or encountered has been crazy durable and these are amazing

I too am constantly on the lookout for a bag with almost your exact specifications. It's like every single bag out there is either ultra-tactical and therefore not my style, or else it's hand-crafted from high quality Himalayan mountain cow leather or some shit and it costs an arm and a leg. Or it's only available in super-feminine prints or styles. My mom has a bag that is amazing and I would love to have one in, like, plain black or something, but the brand only makes bright floral prints. Not really my style.

I don't need it to be an heirloom piece, I'll buy a new one every few years if I have to, I just want something that isn't gigantic, that looks nice enough that I won't get weird looks carrying it to work, but also casual enough that I similarly won't get weird looks walking down the street with it.

I currently am using a Pacsafe 200 which I am mostly happy with. It is a good bag, but is very slightly too small to be perfect. It definitely wouldn't fit your Surface.

I've seen that Kenneth Cole bag in person and it is, at least in my opinion, not quite as nice as it looks online. I mean, it's still a great bag, but the leather is a very soft leather life you might find on furniture rather than a more stiff leather that I typically prefer in a bag. That may or may not bother you, but I just wasn't that impressed with it. I can't really speak to the others except that that LEABAGS LONDON bag looks pretty sweet. Oh, and also, the Muzetto's are incredible but obviously way more than I would ever want to pay for a bag.

I've had a few Pacsafe bags (various styles) over the years and have been generally happy with them, but I beat them up pretty good (sometimes overfilling them on flights, for example, or taking them hiking because I had no other option). I usually go through one every 3 years or so only using it for travel; we usually go on 3 or 4 trips a year where I take it along and use it as my only purse. My boyfriend has a camera backpack from them also that's probably about 5 years old now and still going strong. We usually do a ton of walking around cities or whatever with our bags, so they see a lot of use.

They changed their fabric recently though (on some models at least, I can't confirm every bag) and I don't like it as much. It used to be kinda satiny and water resistant, and blended better with nicer outfits. Now it's more of this sort of coarse canvas (with basically no water resistance, been caught in heavy rain with both fabrics). It seems like it gets more dirty easily too because the old fabric was smooth so was easier to brush or wipe off. It doesn't seem as durable as it used to.

Another thing I noticed is that they seemed to have scaled back the anti-theft technology a little. I am replacing this bag now, and I had the older version of that bag before. The older one had the anti-theft mesh throughout the bag, whereas the new one only seems to have it in the bottom part (the part that's black on the linked bag, mine is all black though) and on the front pocket. It's still in the strap and everything, but even the zippers and stuff don't seem to be as nice of quality as my older one. It looks like that same bag is on clearance, so I don't know what the replacement will be- it seems like they usually keep the model of the bag the same but change it up a little every "generation".

There was a post awhile back about travel stuff I think, and one of the comment threads was talking about a Travelsmith bag they just bought that had Pacsafe antitheft technology. It was basically this one here, I bought the black and white one. It's smaller than the one I am replacing and I haven't taken it on a trip yet, but I like the material and stuff more than my old one. I can't really review it yet other than to say it's more stylish than most regular Pacsafe bags and it seems like decent quality compared to a regular Pacsafe.

For glasses - LOVE the current frames you have. In the future, it may be worth looking at bolder plastic frames or coloured ones. It looks like you have an oval face shape, so maybe a square lens? Frames are so cheap to buy online nowadays, so check out sites like Zenni and EyebuyDirect. Experiment! Have fun!

Purse - I am personally VERY PICKY when it comes to purses. I usually just have one that I use every day. Try finding a purse that speaks to you, not what just matches your outfit. I recently got this one, and I'm a 33 yr old working in a corporate office 😜

Hi everyone! I bought a Celine Nano off of the BST which I absolutely ADORE, but I found the original leather strap too long since I am only 5’0”-5’1”. At first I was using the black leather strap from my PSM but I wanted to see if I could figure something else out.

I ended up going on Amazon and bought a patterned guitar strap to put on the bag. I was wondering if others could give me their input as to whether it looks good or if there is too much going on/looks too busy.

Here is my Celine Nano with the strap! Please let me know what you all think. At first I didn’t like it, but the more I look at it, the more I think it looks cute 😅

I also stumbled across this Gucci strap and this super pretty embroidered strap. I also saw some Off White straps, but they have that “W ILL” flaw that someone else posted on RL.

So my mom has asked me to choose a leather purse for a Christmas present. My problem, I can't decide! Am I better off with going with Fossil brand, or the Sak? I want to get a fairly neutral purse, but there's something about red leather purses that I love.
